Abstract

Leadership is essentially the ability of a person to build, lead, direct and mobilize others to work together to achieve the goals set. To realize these goals, a leader needs to do a series of activities including directing the people involved in the organization he leads. In other words, the purpose is achieved or not an organization is dependent on leadership.Managerial grille developed by Robert Blake and Jane Mouton is one of leadership style theories regarding the orientation of the manager on duty (production) and employees (people), and a combination of the two. This grid illustrates how attentive leader on duty and in humans thus creating a style of management and leadership. There are five basic leadership styles which include style conqueror (impoverished style), leader style mid (middle-of-the-road style), the style of the team (team style), relaxed style (country club style) and work style (task style).Leadership style has many theories put forward by experts in the fieldhuman resources, but researchers interested in studying the style of leadership based on the theory of grille managerial Blake and Mouton at PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero), Tbk Medan and SUMUT Daily Post. The reason is because of the five leadership styles that can be applied by the company, as stated above. Researchers want to know what the leadership style that is applied to both the companys five leadership styles that are owned as well as to determine whether there are differences in leadership styles are applied from both companies are based on the theory of grille managerial.This research uses descriptive exploratory method by distributing questionnaires to employees to identify leadership styles and the differences in the two companies studied.Keywords : grille managerial, leadership, leadership style

Abstract

Issues raised in this study is whether there is an effect of employee training on the development of employees, effect of employee training on the competence of employees, the development of employees on the competence of employees at PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra either simultaneously or partial. The method used in this study is a correlational method with path analysis that aims to measure the relationship between variables. The total population in this research is 209 employees and sample taken as many as 65 employees. Samples were taken using Arikunto formula. Data analysis techniques are descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. After the data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0, the path analysis obtained by the equation: X2 = 0.380 x1+ 0.925 ε1; X3 = 0,296X1 + 0,393X2 +0,818 ε2. Hypothesis test shows the results of path coefficient effect of employee training on the development of employees amounted to 0.380 with tcount of 3.258 at a significance level of 0.002, the effect of employee training on the competence of employees amounted to 0,296 with tcount of 2.639 at a significance level of 0.011, influence the development of employee competencies of employees amounted to 0.393 With a value of t count of 3.502 at the level of significance of  0.001. Thus this hypothesis is accepted that there are pengaru employee training to employee development, there are significant employee training on employee competencies and there is the influence employees competence development of employees. Keywords: Employee Training, Employee Development, Employee Competency

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Incentives and Discipline on Employee Performance at PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Pijer Podi Kekelenegen Kantor Cabang Medan. The research was conducted on PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Pijer Podi Kekelenegen Kantor Cabang Medan with a population of as many as 40 people with using total sampling. Data collection techniques used were through questionnaires (questionnaire) that is by distributing questionnaires to a sample (respondents) and collect them again. The data analysis technique used is the Multiple Linear Regression. Before the data were regressed in the first test of association between the independent variable data to test for normality, multicollinearity, and heterocedasticity. To determine the contribution of factor incentives and discipline to employee performance used formula coefficient of determination (R2). The result showed obtained that by the regression equation Y = 6,505 + 0,532 X1 + 0,247 X2+ e. And showed that  simultaneous incentives and discipline on employee performance at PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Pijer Podi Kekelenegen Kantor Cabang Medan, where the value of F count = 15,215 > F table = 3,24 with level of significant (α) 0,000 < 0,05. Coefficient of determination (adjusted R square) of 0,451 means that the influence of incentives and discipline on employee performance at PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Pijer Podi Kekelenegen Kantor Cabang Medan 45,1% and the remining 54,9% is influenced by other variables outside of research. Conclusions from the research that there is a positive and significant effect of incentives and discipline on employee performance at PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Pijer Podi Kekelenegen Kantor Cabang Medan.            Keywords: Incentives, Discipline, Employee Performance

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang sering timbul dalam organisasi adalah penurunan kinerja karyawan. Tinggi rendahnya kinerja pegawai ternyata dipengaruhi oleh banyak factor seperti factor kepemimpinan dan motivasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pada PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero) Medan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Jalur dengan rumus Y = PyX1 + PyX2+ e. Untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh kepemimpinan dan motivasi secara simultan dapat dilihat dari perhitungan determinasi (R2), sedangkan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh langsung variable kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja karyawan digunakan rumus ry X12   dan untuk mengetahui  besarnya pengaruh langsung variabel motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan digunakan rumus ry X22. Setelah data dianalisis, maka diperoleh persamaan analisis jalur Y = 0,459 X1 + 0,436X2 + 0,640 e1. Selanjutnya nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,591 yang memiliki arti bahwa kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja secara simultan mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan sebesar 59,1% dan sisanya 40,9% disebabkan faktor-faktor lain. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis diterima yang artinya ada pengaruh antara kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis literasi keuangan terhadap keberlangsungan usaha kuliner. Subjek penelitian merupakan usaha kuliner khas dan beroperasi lebih dari 5 tahun di Kota Medan, sehingga diperoleh 30 usaha kuliner. Pengujian menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan berpengaruh terhadap keberlangsungan usaha kuliner. Para manajer dan karyawan memahami pentingnya literasi keuangan dalam strategi pengembangan usaha. Sikap dan perilaku literasi yang ditunjukkan oleh mereka diatas rata-rata untuk menunjang keberlangsungan usaha. Literasi keuangan yang tepat dan baik memberikan dampak keberlansungan usaha kuliner yang masih tetap dapat bersaing dipasar dalam waktu yang cukup lama, sehingga para pelaku usaha kuliner masih tetap eksis sampai saat ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Tingkat Perbandingan Kepuasan  Mahasiswa Terhadap Media dan Metode Pembelajaran Pada Mata Kuliah Pembelajaran Pada Mata Kuliah Manajemen SDM kelas 2 A Tahun Ajaran 2016 -2017 di jurusan Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Unimed. Yang menjadi variable bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah  Media Pembelajaran dan Metode Pembelajaran. Sedangkan variable terikatnya adalah Kepuasan Mahasiswa. Populasi Penelitian adalah mahasiswa di Jurusan Manajemen semester 2 (dua) kelas A  tahun ajaran 2016-2017 sebanyak kurang lebih 40 orang. Sampel yang digunakan adalah total samping. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket atau kuesioner. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis deskriptif. Mahasiswa merasa puas terhadap media yang digunakan di dalam proses pembelajaran matakuliah MSDM. Dengan tingkat persentasi jawaban setuju pada tiap-tiap indikator antara 78% - 95%. Mahasiswa merasa puas terhadap metode yang di gunakan Dosen dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah Manajemen SDM, Dengan tingkat persentasi jawaban setuju pada tiap-tiap indikator antara 67% - 95%. Kata Kunci : Kepuasan, Metode pembelajaran, Media pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi-fungsi manajemen sumber daya manusia di perusahaan Badan Usaha Milik Negara di Kota Medan yakni PT. PELINDO 1, PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa, dan PT BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Cabang Tanjung Morawa Sumatera Utara. Adapun metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, daftar pertanyaaan, observasi, studi kepustakaan. Peneliti telah mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang tugas-tugas bagian SDM pada ketiga perusahaan lebih jelas, lengkap, dan terperinci dibandingkan dengan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari literatur, seperti misalnya fungsi analisis jabatan pada PT. PELINDO 1 telah menguraikan analisis jabatan yang lebih detail bagaimana job description dan job specification pada perusahaan tersebut. Kata Kunci : Fungsi-fungsi manajemen sumber daya manusia, Badan Usaha Milik Negara.
