Abstract

Rice-stink bug (Leptocorisa acuta Thumb) that attack rice crop often causing heavy damage of panicle of rice as well as decreasing either quantity or quality of grain after harvest. The objective of this research was to select 14 entomopatogenic fungi of Beauveria spp. isolates, collected from rice stink bug (L. acuta) and their pathogenicity assay to insect host L. acuta. We also aimed to study diversity of Beuveria spp. which was isolated from insect host from Situgede, Bogor. The research was conducted at Laboratory, and Green house of Center for Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Resources Research and Development, Bogor, in 2014. Result of the study showed that isolates from Situgede Bogor were sucessfully isolated  as Beauveria spp. based on Koch Postulat assay.  The identified fourteen isolates were morphologically confirmed as Beauveria spp. The pathogenicity test was indicated by symptoms and mortality of rice stink bug after inoculation with these entomopathogenic fungi. The Beuveria isolates Stgd2(14)1, Stgd6(14)1, Stgd7(14)2, Stgd8(14)2, and Stgd0113 were the most virulent isolates. Stgd2(14)1 provided the fastest time to kill L. acuta with LT50 values of 6.9 days. The 13 isolates of Beauveria were well amplified by ITS primers. However, no diversity was found among isolates, presumably due its narrow host range tested.

Abstract

Makalah  ini membahas tentang modifikasi metode Weerakoon dan Homeier, yang menggunakan rata-rata Harmonik. Selanjutnya, turunan pertama ditaksir menggunakan penyetaraan metode Varian super-Halley dan Newton-Steffensen dengan menambahkan parameter riil . Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh metode baru yang memiliki orde konvergensi tiga untuk  dan orde konvergensi empat untuk serta melibatkan tiga evaluasi fungsi. Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable self-rating scale instrument for measuring Self-Directed Learning (SDL) skills. This DDI study follows the steps of Hinkin’s development (1995) which consists of five stages: creating an item pool, expert conclusion, implementation, confirmatory factor analysis, and reliability analysis. The self-rating scale developed in this study consisted of sixty statements accompanied by a 1-5 Likert scale. Based on the factors analysis, 16 items were still in the draft and 44 items were declared valid and reliable. Five factors that are determined are: awareness (8 items, α = 0.717), learning strategies (9 items, α = 0.806), and learning activities (7 items, α = 0.777), evaluation (8 items, α = 0.790), and interpersonal skills (12 items, α = 0.907). The reliability coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) of the self-rating scale is α = 0.933, with the required reliability criteria is 0.5. On a scale conversion of 1-100, the student’s highest score of SDL skills is 93, and the lowest score SDL skills are 31 (SD = 20.334).

Abstract

AbstrakBeauveria spp. merupakan salah satu jamur entomopatogen yang dapat digunakan sebagai agen biokontrol terhadap berbagai serangga hama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji patogenitas Beauveria spp. terhadap serangga wereng coklat (Nilaparvata lugens Stål). Isolat-isolat Beauveria spp. diisolasi dari serangga walang sangit dari Situ Gede, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Identifikasi jamur dilakukan berdasarkan analisis data sekuen dari daerah Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) rDNA. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa patogenisitas isolat Stgd 5(14)2 dan Stgd 7(14)2 menghasilkan tingkat mortalitas 100% terhadap N. lugens. Isolat Stgd 5(14)2 dan Stgd 7(14)2 memiliki nilai LT50 yang rendah, danmenyebabkan kematian yang cepat terhadap wereng coklat. Hasil analisis filogenetik menunjukkan bahwa sekuen Stgd 5(14)2 dan Stgd 7(14)2 termasuk ke dalam spesies Beauveria bassiana s.str. Hasil studi ini merupakan kajian awal terhadap patogenisitas jamur entomopatogen B. bassiana terhadap wereng coklat, dan distribusinya di pertanaman padi Situ Gede, Jawa Barat.Abstract Beauveria spp. is one of the entomopathogenic fungi that can be used as biocontrol agents against various insect pests, including brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stal). This study aimed to test the pathogenicity of Beauveria spp. against N. lugens. Beauveria spp. were isolated from the rice stink bug insects, collected from Situ Gede, Bogor, West Java. Fungal identification was carried out based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) rDNA analysis. The pathogenicity assay revealed that Stgd 5(14)1 and Stgd 7(14)2 isolates were virulent against N. lugens, with a mortality of 100%. The LT50 (median lethal time) determination, indicated that Stgd 5(14)2  and Stgd 7(14)2 isolates had low value indicating a faster mortality in brown planthopper insects. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the sequences of Stgd 5(14)2 and Stgd 7(14)2 belong to Beauveria bassiana s.str. This is the preliminary pathogenicity trial of entomopathogenic fungi B. bassiana against brown planthopper and their distribution in rice-growing, Situ Gede area in West Java.

Abstract

In vitro study was carried out to test the effectiveness of the formulation containing Burkholderia cepacia isolates E76 in suppressing growth of Rhizoctonia solani and its effect on plant growth. The study was conducted at Plant Disease Laboratory, Indonesian Center for Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Resources Research and Development Bogor, in January to July 2012. The in vitro method was done by growing the bacteria B. cepacia isolates E76 together with R. solani in one dish of potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium. Seed of ?Ciherang? rice was treated with formulation of B. cepacia isolates E76. Observation were done to relative inhibitory rate, rice germination, shoot length, and root length. Results showed that B. cepacia isolates E76 formulation was effective in suppressing the growth of R. solani with relative inhibitory rate at 24 and 48 hour after incubation, respectively 31,3 ? 60,2% and 28,9 ? 47,8%. Rice germination and growth on treated rice seeds were better than control treatment. Concentration at 3% concentration was suggested to be used as recommended concentration for further testing. Key words: Formulation, Burkholderia cepacia isolat E76, Rhizoctonia solani

Abstract

MEREKONSTRUKSI PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA MELALUI PROGRAM PENGAJARAN REMEDIAL AbstractRemedial teaching is a re-learning for students who face learning difficulty. Many teachers forget to do this program aiming at reconstructing the student’s learning achievement. This work aimed to know the effectiveness of remedial teaching program to reach the mastery learning. This study used the design of mixed method explanatory. The data collection was done by using test technique of the quantitative data, while the qualitative data were collected by observation and documentation techniques. The instrument used to collect the quantitative data was test and to collect the qualitative data, the researchers conducted the direct observation and documentation. Based on the research results, the effectiveness of remedial teaching program to achieve the mastery learning for the physics subject was 57.89% so that the remedial teaching program was effective enough to be implemented. Subsequently, the remedial teaching was conducted in the form of special and private treatment. Its method is in accordance with the students’ need or type of difficulty. The method used in this research was direct learning with the peer tutor. Thereby, the remedial teaching program can be recommended to help the students to attain the mastery learning in the physics subject.AbstrakPengajaran remedial adalah pembelajaran ulang bagi siswa yang menghadapi kesulitan belajar. Banyak guru lupa untuk melakukan program ini dengan tujuan merekonstruksi pencapaian belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas program pengajaran remedial untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain metode campuran explanatory. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik uji data kuantitatif, sedangkan data kualitatif dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kuantitatif adalah tes dan untuk mengumpulkan data kualitatif, para peneliti melakukan observasi langsung dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, efektivitas program pengajaran remedial untuk mencapai ketuntasan belajar mata pelajaran fisika sebesar 57,89% sehingga program pengajaran remedial cukup efektif untuk dilaksanakan. Selanjutnya, pengajaran remedial dilakukan dalam bentuk perlakuan khusus dan pribadi. Metodenya sesuai dengan kebutuhan atau jenis kesulitan siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran langsung dengan tutor sebaya. Dengan demikian, program pengajaran remedial dapat direkomendasikan untuk membantu siswa untuk mencapai penguasaan pembelajaran dalam mata pelajaran fisik.Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/es.v10i1.7240

Abstract

Metode transformasi Elzaki perturbasi homotopi merupakan salah satu metode  semi analitik yang dikonstruksi menggunakan kombinasi metode transformasi Elzaki dan metode perturbasi homotopi. Metode ini  digunakan untuk menyelesaikan persamaan diferensial, baik linear maupun nonlinear dalam bentuk deret polinomial. Artikel ini membahas penyelesaian persamaan diferensial Abelian jenis pertama  menggunakan metode perturbasi homotopi transformasi Elzaki. Simulasi numerik diberikan untuk menguji konvergensi penyelesaian hampiran dengan menggunakan dua contoh. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa metode tersebut dapat menyelesaikan persamaan diferensial Abelian. Nilai-nilai penyelesaian hampiran juga di plot  dalam bentuk grafik untuk  beberapa jumlah suku-suku solusi hampiran. Hasil plot menunjukkan bahwa pola kurva yang dibentuk cenderung teratur.

Abstract

Penyakit busuk akar yang disebabkan oleh Phytophthora capsici merupakan penyakit yang sering dijumpai padatanaman cabai rawit. Identifikasi patogen penyebab penyakit dan penyediaan varietas tahan merupakan hal penting yangperlu dilakukan untuk menentukan tindakan pengendalian yang tepat. Penelitian bertujuan mengkarakterisasiPhytophthora asal cabai dan mengevaluasi ketahanan enam genotipe cabai rawit terhadap dua isolat Phytophthora.Phytophthora diisolasi dari dua lokasi tanaman cabai di Jawa Barat. Karakter yang diamati adalah bentuk koloni,sporangia, papila, sporangiofor, dan tipe kawin. Genotipe cabai rawit yang dievaluasi terdiri dari 5 kultivar dan 1 galur.Inokulasi dilakukan pada tanaman berumur 5 minggu dengan menyiramkan 5 mL suspensi zoospora dengan kerapatan2000 zoospora/mL di sekitar perakaran. Pengamatan insidensi dan keparahan penyakit mulai dilakukan pada 3 sampaidengan 37 hari setelah inokulasi. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa isolat Phytophthora yang dikarakterisasimempunyai kemiripan morfologi dengan P. capsici. Isolat B1 menunjukkan tingkat virulensi lebih tinggi dibandingkandengan isolat PCB5.1. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa kultivar Lokal Lembang dan Midun bereaksi tahanterhadap Phytophthora isolat B1 dan PCB5.1. Sementara kultivar Madun dan Tripang hanya tahan terhadap isolatPCB5.1.Kata kunci: busuk akar, cabai, evaluasi ketahanan, Phytophthora

Abstract

This paper discusses on the contribution of Indonesian Islam in the context of socio-cultural identity. Muslim is a large social identity which represent to citizenship identification in Indonesian context. The dynamic of Indonesian Muslim that have special status is interesting to be investigated about socio-cultural identity. Actually, both in the Qur’an and the substantive level, Islam expression can be diverse. It could be considered Islamic expression of its role, character, approach and region. This paper records the results of research that has addressed the varietyproblem of Islamic identity in terms of region. The data was collected through answer method, documentation, and analyzed through content analysis. As a result, there are eight Islamic identities from the perspective of the region published in Indonesian, they are: Archipelago Islam, Indonesian Islam, Javanese Islam, Radical Islam, Islamic Sasak, Islamic Sharia, and Islam Indigenous Hatubana, Kumai Bubuhan Islamic, and Coastal Islamic. All Islamic identity is influenced by the culture and the local tradition. Only a handful of variants that the identity is rather keep a distance with the local culture and tradition, five times in Islamic Sasak, Islamic Sharia in Hatubana and Nabu Group in Kumai Bubuhan Islamic. The result describes that Muslim construct their citizenship identity with extending of Islamic teaching categorization and education in both of cultural and national. That is against to Turner’s opinion which said that citizenship will be luck by religious identification. Furthermore, Indonesian Muslim have been met of the citizenship identity as a transformative process from primordial categorization into inclusive categorization

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tentang strategi pimpinan pesantren hilal dalam mencetak kader imam masjid pada pondok pesantren hilal kelurahan sukaresmi kecamatan tanah sareal kota Bogor tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian adalah tahfizul Qur’an, public speaking, menanamkan jiwa kepemimpinan, memahami manajemen salat khusyuk. Kedua faktor pendukung (a) permintaan Imam masjid yang banyak, (b) pengajar yang profesional, (d) materi-materi pengkaderan, (e) lingkungan yang asri.
