Abstract

This research was conducted because there is a possibility to introduce online newspaper to the students to improve their ability in grammar mastery due to the rapidity of technology development. Online newspaper and grammar were chosen because online newspaper contains grammar which was written straightly correct because it will be read by all of people. The problem of this research is how effective the use of online newspaper in the learning of grammar is, and the purpose of this research is to find out whether it is effective or not. The subject of this research is eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Batang. They were chosen because I had been experienced in teach them and know their grammar mastery is still low. The research design is quasi-experimental design, with post-test pre-test experimental and control group. The result of this research shows that the gain of experimental group score is not as high as control group. So, it can be concluded that using online newspaper in the learning of grammar is not effective because the score gain of experimental group is lower than control group. It was caused by the level of vocabularies used in online newspaper is not common in students’ daily language and they have different interests in topic of the online newspaper’s passage.

Abstract

The experiment was aimed at studying waste of heart pineapple as a source of ethanol. Through fermentation process by Saccharomyces  cerevisiae inoculants. The period of ethanol fermentation process is 4 days and observation did on every 24 hours. The variable observed ware; temperature, pH, ethanol concentration, reduction sugar concentration and the amount of Saccharomyces  cerevisiae cell. Randomized block design with three replicated employed in this experiment. Treatment carried out were 1) initial concentration of reduction sugar of heart pineapple extract, 2) culture concentration and 3) fermentation period. Data analyzed with analysis variance BNJ test and regression analysis. This result showed interaction between initial concentration of reduction sugar and fermentation period. Have significantly effect to ethanol concentration, but culture concentration did not. The highest result is 30,30% ethanol concentration from treatment, 10% initial concentration reduction sugar and 4 days fermentation period and the lowest is 20,6% from treatment 14% initial concentration reduction sugar and 4 days fermentation period. Regression analysis showed reduction sugar concentration, the amount of Saccharomyces  cerevisiae and ethanol concentration on media is interaction. Further to that, there were also an increase on the amount of Saccharomyces cerevisiae followed by decreasing reduction sugar concentration and increasing ethanol concentration on media. Acidity and temperature of medium tend to increase as long as fermentation period.   Key word : Heart pineapple, ethanol

Abstract

Income smoothing is the way that used by management to reduce fluctuation in reported earnings to fit the desired target. Income smoothing action is considered as a common action done by management to achieve certain purposes. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of determinant factors of income smoothing (net earnings, total asset, total sales, leverage, and operating profit margin) toward stock return. Thesample used in this research is 48 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange selected by purposive sampling method. Eckel Index is used in this research as the assumption of income smoothing. The data analysis methods that been used are classical assumption test that included test of normality with One Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, and heteroskedastisity test withscatterplot. Moreover, data are also analyzed using regression test with f test and t test.Based on the result of this research, it is shown that only the net earnings which have a significant influence on stock returns. While, total assets, total sales, leverage, and operating profit margin have no influence on stock returns. Result of this research which conducted by f test (simultaneous test) showed that all independent variables (net earnings, total assets, total sales, leverage, and operating profit margin), together have a significant influence on stock returns.

Abstract

Secara normatif, Islam telah melegalkan laki-laki muslim menikahi wanita ahlul kitab berdasarkan ketentuan surat al-Maidah ayat 5. Namun, dalam ranah fikih, justru masih ditemukan perbedaan pendapat ulama. Menariknya, perbedaan pendapat tersebut tidak hanya terjadi pada tataran hukum pernikahannya, tetapi juga perbedaan dalam memaknai arti dari ahlul kitab itu sendiri, yang pada gilirannya juga berbeda dalam penetapan hukum pernikahannya. Secara khusus, artikel ini mengkaji pandangan Imam Ibnu Taimiyah tentang perkawinan laki-laki muslim dengan wanita ahlul kitab, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dalil dan metode istinbath hukum yang digunakan Imam Ibnu Taimiyah, serta mengetahui ada tidaknya kesesuaian pendapat Ibnu Taimiyah dengan hukum perkawinan yang ada di Indonesia. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa dalil hukum yang digunakan Imam Ibnu Taimiyah yaitu merujuk pada ketentuan surat al-Maidah ayat 5. Pendapatnya yaitu laki-laki boleh menikahi wanita ahlul kitab yang tidak mengerjakan kesyirikan. Namun, wanita ahlul kitab yang perbuatannya terbukti syirik (mempersekutukan Allah), maka mereka masuk dalam cakupan makna surat al-Baqarah ayat 221, yaitu orang-orang musyrik yang dilarang untuk dinikahi. Adapun metode istinbāṭ yang digunakan Imam Ibnu Taimiyyah yaitu metode bayyanī,di mana, ketentuan surat al-Maidah ayat 5 bersifat khusus (khaṣ) dan surat al-Baqarah ayat 221 bersifat umum (‘ām). Untuk itu, ketentuan surat al-Maidah tentang bolehnya menikahi wanita ahlul kitab masih berlaku, tetapi ahlul kitab di sini dikhususkan hanya wanita Yahudi dan Nasrani yang tidak mengerjakan perbuatan syirik, atau sebelum terjadi penggantian dan pemalsuan ajaran kitab mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to test: 1) the influence of human resource quality on the performance of the organization of regional devices. 2) the influence of internal control on the performance of regional apparatus organizations. 3) influence of regional financial management information system on the performance of regional apparatus organization. The object of this research is 30 regional apparatus organization in Deli Serdang north Sumatera Province. Instruments in this study is a questionnaire distributed directly to respondents. Data analysis method used in this research is descriptive statistics, data quality test, classical assumption test, and hypothesis test consists of multiple linear regression analysis test, coefficient of determination and test F. The results showed that the quality of human resources, internal control and financial management information systems have a positif effect on the performance of regional organizations.Keywords : Quality of human resources, internal control and regional financial management information system

Abstract

This thesis entitled “Improving the Students’ Ability in Mastering Reading Comprehension through Three-Two-One (3-2-1) Strategy (A Collaborative Classroom Action Research to the First Year Students of MAN Gandapura)”. From the title above, the researcher put two problems of this research with the questions; first, how is the Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy improve the students’ ability in mastering reading comprehension? Second, how does the students’ respond toward the implementation of Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy in teaching reading comprehension?. The purposes of the research were; To find out Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy improve the students’ ability in mastering reading comprehension and to know the students’ respond toward the implementation of Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy in teaching reading comprehension. To answer the research questions, the researcher used collaborative classroom action research as methodology of the research. Therefore, the researcher did collaboration with English teacher to do the research. This research was conducted at MAN Gandapura. The subject of the research consisted of twenty nine students. This research was qualitative research.  The researcher used test, observation sheet, questionnaires, and field notes as the instrument of the research. The researcher and teacher got the mean score of students’ test in the cycle I was 55.03, and test in the cycle II was 71.16. Therefore, the researcher concluded that Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy had improve students’ ability in reading comprehension, this strategy can solve the students’ problems in learning reading comprehension in the classroom, and also this strategy brings the new situations for the students to be active in reading comprehension in the classroom.       Key words: Reading Comprehension, Three-Two-One (3-2-1) Strategy.

Abstract

The biggest challenge faced by students nowadays and in the future, is how to deal with the increasingly high competition in the world, the increasing number of undergraduate and limited job opportunities. In this kind of situations, the students had to find a creative way and change the approach of being a university graduate looking for a job, to become scholars who can create their own jobs, or even able to create jobs for others.The purpose of this study was to determine the youth interest on entrepreneurship in Indonesia. It seems that the youth are unaware to see that the job is increasingly difficult to find nowadays. So through this study, researchers wanted to find out what causes youth in Indonesia, reluctant to become an entrepreneur. While being an entrepreneur, the youth can open or create jobs for others and can reduce the level of unemployment in Indonesia.Self-confidence is an important factor in entrepreneurship. Family environment and quality education also participate in creating interest for youth in entrepreneurship. This research is using basic research method; where researchers will try to link the theories of the existing variables. Thus, researchers can conduct research by distributing questionnaires to the youth throughout Indonesia. This study aims to determine the cause of Indonesian youth lack of interest in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Sebagai suatu lembaga yang bergerak berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip syariah, lembaga pengelolawakaf tentunya memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dari organisasi lain dalam orientasi kinerjanya.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh implementasi prinsip tata kelola Islamterhadap kinerja lembaga wakaf. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah pedomanpelaksanaan syariah dan pedoman pelaksanaan berlaku umum dengan 10 indikator, yaitu halaltayib, shiddiq, amanah, tabligh, fathanah serta transparansi, akuntabilitas, responsibilitas,independensi, kewajaran. Variabel dependen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kinerjalembaga wakaf yang diukur menggunakan balanced scorecard. Pengambilan sampel dalampenelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan kuesioner untuk kemudian mengevaluasi jawabanresponden diikuti dengan memberikan skor menggunakan skala likert dan analisis menggunakanSmartPLS. Penelitian dilakukan di Yayasan Wakaf Bangun Nurani Bangsa dan Yayasan BangunKecerdasan Bangsa. Hasil penilaian prinsip tata kelola Islam pada lembaga pengelola wakafmenunjukkan bahwa pedoman pelaksanaan syariah dan pedoman pelaksanaan berlaku umummemiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kinerja lembaga wakaf.

Abstract

Di era Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEN (MEA) dan revolusi industry 4.0 menuntut lulusan yang memilikiprofessional skill dan humanistic skill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswaterhadap SAK berdasarkan kecerdasan intelektual (IQ), kecerdasan emosional (EQ), dan perilaku belajar.Data yang diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa S1 programstudi Akuntansi Universitas Trilogi angkatan 2015 ? 2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakanmetode purposive sampling dan metode analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM)dengan STATA versi 13 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kecerdasan intelektual danperilaku belajar yang diterapkan mahasiswa Universitas Trilogi berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman SAK.Sedangkan, kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa Universitas Trilogi tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemahamanSAK. Gaya mengajar dosen dapat memoderasi pengaruh kecerdasan intelektual dan perilaku belajar padatingkat pemahaman SAK, namun gaya mengajar dosen tidak dapat memoderasi pengaruh kecerdasanemosional pada tingkat pemahaman SAK.

Abstract

Among Attention-Deficit Hiperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnostic criteria is the obstacles in academic and social function across multiple setting. About 50% children with ADHD have difficulties to establish peer relationship, and made some impact to social skill deficit. Social stories can teach social skill to individu who have social problems. The aim of social stories is to provide the individual with a greater understanding of certain social situations. This research was held to identify the social stories influence toward social skill of children with ADHD. The research used single case experiment with A-B design. Participant selection was based on age, reading ability, Hiperactive Behavior Indonesian Child Rating Scale score, and Walker McConnel Social Competence and School Adjusment score. There are two partisipants that passed through all the criteria. The result of data analysis are (1) statistical analysis show there is no difference on frequency of target behavior after social stories treatment had given (asymp. signf. 0.242> 0.05 < 0.171) (2) statistical analysis show there is no difference on duration of target behavior after social stories treatment had given (asymp. signf. 0.272>0.05< 0.464) (3) participant #1 and participant #2 showed improvement tendency based on visual inspection to the target behavior graph (4) social stories can increase participant’s knowledge regarded how to do a behavior, but could not help participant to carried out their knowledge in to behavior yet. The conclusion of this research is social stories do not have influence toward social skill of children with ADHD. Social stories only influenced on cognitive level, could not foster participant to carried out the knowledge in to behavior yet.Keywords: social stories, social skill, ADHDPermalink :
