Abstract

Abstract

The growing reliance on AI-driven technologies has raised critical concerns about the decline in students’ abilities in critical thinking, logical reasoning, and motor skills. In response, this study investigates the potential of abacus learning a traditional method that stimulates both hemispheres of the brain by engaging both hands simultaneously to mitigate these challenges. The primary objective is to develop and evaluate an abacus training management model that strengthens the instructional competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers, enabling them to implement abacus-based learning effectively within the context of modern educational demands. The research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Bandar Lampung using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data were collected through surveys, interviews, and documentation to support the design, development, and validation of the training model. Expert assessments demonstrated high feasibility: material experts rated the model at 88.75%, and media experts at 92.5%. Additionally, teachers who participated in the training assessed its effectiveness at 85%, indicating strong usability. Quantitative analysis using a t-test revealed a t-observed value of 44.737, significantly exceeding the t-critical value of 2.069 at a 0.05 significance level. This confirms that the model is statistically effective in improving teachers’ abacus teaching skills. These findings reaffirm the continued relevance of traditional tools like the abacus in an era dominated by artificial intelligence. The study concludes that integrating such manual learning strategies can complement digital advancements. Future research is recommended to explore this model’s application across varied educational settings and learner demographics.

Abstract

This study focuses on developing madrasahs to improve the quality of education by integrating three main aspects: competency-based curriculum development, transformative leadership of madrasah principals, and community empowerment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques were done through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and verification processes to ensure the validity of the findings. The study results indicate contextual and competency-based curriculum development helps students acquire more applicable skills. Transformative leadership of madrasah principals plays a role in creating an innovative work culture and increasing teacher motivation in the learning process. Meanwhile, community empowerment creates a more supportive and inclusive education ecosystem. Integrating these three strategies forms a more holistic and sustainable madrasah development model. The implications of this study emphasize that madrasahs need to adopt a collaborative approach to improving the quality of education. Madrasah-based education policies must consider the role of madrasah principals as transformative leaders, the relevance of the curriculum to local needs, and community involvement in the education process.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the importance of organizational culture, analyze organizational culture and strategies to support and change culture. The method used is library research, collecting data by finding sources and reconstructing from various sources such as books, journals, and existing research. Organizational culture can have a major impact on organizational performance and success. Organizations with cultures that align with the goals and values of their members tend to create positive and productive environments. Conversely, cultural conflicts or mismatches between an organization's culture and its members' individual values can result in discomfort and lack of optimal performance. Therefore, the understanding and management of organizational culture is critical to the sustainability and success of an organization. Analyzing organizational culture is also a process that aims to understand how values, beliefs, and norms in the organization affect individual behavior and overall performance. This analysis is important to determine whether the organizational culture supports the company's strategic goals or needs to be changed. Changing and supporting organizational culture requires a strategic and sustainable approach, as organizational culture is embedded in long-standing behaviors, norms, and values.

Abstract

Change management in education is a strategy designed to deal with various challenges arising from the development of the times, policy changes, and the needs of society. This study aims to explore the implementation of change management as an effort to improve the quality of education in formal institutions, by focusing on the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of change. The research approach used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. The focus of this research involves identifying key elements that affect the success of change management, such as transformational leadership, active participation of stakeholders, readiness of educators and learners, and strategies to manage resistance to change. The results show that the successful implementation of change is highly dependent on strategic planning, open and transparent communication, continuous training for educators, and cross-sector collaboration. Leaders who are able to inspire and empower the team are an important factor in driving change in a positive direction. In addition, resistance to change can be minimized by building collective awareness of the long-term benefits of each new policy implemented. Institutions that have an adaptive learning culture tend to be better prepared to face change and are able to create innovations that contribute to improving the quality of education. This research makes a significant academic contribution by presenting a conceptual and applicable framework for the implementation of change management in the context of education. Thus, these findings are expected to be a guide for educational institutions and stakeholders to design sustainable change strategies. This study emphasizes that with the right approach, change management not only improves the quality of learning, but also supports the achievement of national education goals in creating superior and competitive human resources.
