Abstrak. Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) memberikan sumbangan berarti bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional, sebagai penggerak pembangunan daerah dibidang teknologi, memperluas kesempatan berusaha, kesempatan kerja dan peningkatan nilai tambah. Tujuan penelitian: menganalisis pengaruh motivasi usaha terhadap kemampuan usaha IKM; menganalisis pengaruh kemampuan usaha terhadap keberhasilan usaha IKM; menganalisis pengaruh motivasi usaha terhadap keberhasilan usaha melalui variabel kemampuan usaha IKM sebagai mediasi; Metode penelitian survey dan bentuk penelitian deskriptif serta verifikatif. Objek penelitian pengelola usaha IKM makanan ringan sebanyak 150 dengan menggunakan koesioner tertutup melalui pengujian path analisis. Hasil penelitian bahwa motivasi usaha berpengaruh signifikan dan berbanding lurus (positif) terhadap kemampuan usaha, semakin tinggi motivasi usaha akan diikuti tinggi kemampuan usaha. Kemampuan usaha berpengaruh signifikan dan berbanding lurus (positif) terhadap keberhasilan usaha, semakin tinggi kemampuan usaha akan diikuti tinggi keberhasilan usaha. Selanjutnya pengaruh motivasi usaha terhadap keberhasilan usaha melalui variabel kemampuan usaha sebagai mediasi signifikan atau dapat diterima, sehingga motivasi usaha berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan usaha melalui kemampuan usaha.Kata kunci: motivasi usaha, kemampuan usaha dan keberhasilan usaha, industri kecil menengah, makanan ringan, Priangan Timur-Indonesia Abstract. Small medium industries (hereafter SMIs) contributed meant to the national economic growth, as the driving regional development in technology, extending business opportunities, employment opportunities and the increase in added value. Research purposes: analyze the influence business motivation in the ability of SMIs businesses; analyze the influence of the ability of SMIs businesses to SMIs business successful; analyze the influence business motivation to SMIs business successful through variable the ability of SMIs businesses as mediation. The research method is survey with the research form of descriptive verification. 150 SMIs manager ware observed using closed questionnaire through the test of path analysis. Research results that business motivation is affecting significantly and proportionally (positive) toward the ability of SMIs businesses, the higher business motivation would be followed by high of the ability of SMIs businesses. The ability of SMIs businesses is significantly and proportionally (positive) affect the SMIs business successful, the higher the ability of SMIs businesses would be followed by high of the SMIs business successful. The business motivation to influence the SMIs business successful through the ability of SMIs businesses as mediation is significant or acceptable, so business motivation influences the SMIs business successful through the ability of SMIs businesses.
