Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe the implementation of remedial programme that is performed by the teachers based on Permendikbud No. 81 A in the year of 2013 about the implementation of curriculum. The sample of this research was MTs Negeri Sungai Kakap. The tool of data collection was questionnaire which was given to the headmaster, teachers, and students. The other tools of data collection used were a list of inteview administered to the teachers and  the student score of evaluation test. The exact teachers in MTs Negeri Sungai Kakap have performed the remedial programme. The way of the remediation was revising students’ score which have not fulfil the school passing grade after evaluation  test or final year of the best. Based on the result, it was found that 55,1 % students admitted that the teacher did the remediation. Then 88,6 % students said that the way the teachers did the remediation. Was appropriatefor them. However, the implementation of remediation performed by the teachers in MTs Negeri Sungai Kakap has not been proper based on Permendikbud No.81 A in the year 2013 about the implementation of the curriculum. Abstract

 AbstractThis research aims to developed the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) test of motion topics for Senior High School students. The  method in this research was developed from Borg and Gall development model which har been simplified into 7 steps,  that werw colecting data, planning, designing product, testing in a small scale, revisi, testing in a large scale and revisi final product. The test consists of 22 multiple choisce questions. The test involved 33 studens in small-scale trials and 194 students on large-scale trials. Based on date analyze, HOTS test developed is proper to used which test caracteristic of high validity level, high reability, easy to moderate level of difficullty and readability index greater or equal to 6. The analysis results of contens validity is 0.75, result of item validity is 16 question valid, and result of construct validity has a high levelof item correlation. The reability of this test was 0.607 and readability index of this test was 8.65. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA 5 Pontianak through inquiry learning using the experimental method. The form of research carried out in the form of a pre-experimental design with the design of one group pretest-posttest. This study involved 37 students of class X IPA 5 in SMA 5 Pontianak through a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was made in the form of RPP, LKPD and description tests totaling 8 questions representing three indicators. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes by 88.6%, from 34.84 to 65.76 is calculated from the average value of the pretest and posttest. Meanwhile, the results of effectiveness calculations using effect size show a significant difference of 1.85 with a high category. This shows that the application of the inquiry model is able to improve student learning outcomes in the measurement material so that the application of inquiry learning models is feasible to be considered as an alternative in an effort to improve student learning outcomes. Keywords: Inquiry Model, Learning Outcomes, Measurement.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan saintifik dalam meremediasi kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental dengan rancangan One Group Pre-test Post-test. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa soal yang terdiri dari 2 soal uraian. Penelitian ini melibatkan 25 peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai sampel yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata penurunan kesulitan belajar peserta didik sebesar 42,7% dengan kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian ini juga ditemukan bentuk-bentuk kesulitan belajar yaitu kesulitan mengartikan satuan, kesulitan mengkonversi satuan, kesulitan pemahaman konsep, kesulitan matematis, dan kesulitan memahami soal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi peserta didik agar dapat menurunkan kesulitan belajar. Kata kunci: Remediasi, Pendekatan Saintifik, Kesulitan Belajar Fisika   Abstract: The study aims to determine the effect of using a scientific approach to remedied learning difficulties of students at Static Fluid material in SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. The method of this study is Pre-Experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Each pre-test and post-test questions consists of 2 essay. There are 25 students in class XI IPA 2 as sample using cluster random sampling technique. The result shows that there is an average reduction of learning difficulties with pecentage of 42,7% that classified as medium category. There are also found some trouble in interpreting units, converting units, understanding concepts, operating mathematics and understanding the questions that all include in learning difficulties. This research is expected as an alternative remedial activities for students in order to reduce the learning difficulties.   Keywords: Remediation, Scientific Approach, Physics Learning Difficulties

Abstract

AbstractThe study investigated student misconception and cause of the misconception on straight motion. A descriptive survey was employed. The sample for the study was 87 students of X grade from SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Data are collected by using multiple choice diagnostic tests with open reason and interview. The result indicated that student made  .66% misconception about straight motion. The misconceptions were on the eleven concept, including: the sama distance as displacement (32.18%), in parallel positions two objects have the same speed (35.63%), objects in front of other objects moving with greater velocity (20, 63%), if  speed increases, then acceleration is more and more (72.99%), the downward trajectory is a slowing down trajectory (16.1%), the acceleration of the object when it stops is zero (86.21%), if the object velocity is zero, then the acceleration is also zero (34.48%), objects with a larger mass will fall faster than objects with lighter mass (94.25%), the higher the object, the smaller the acceleration, and vice versa (83,36%), an object thrown up has zero acceleration at the highest point (88.50%) and,  the direction of acceleration is always the same as the velocity (85.06%).                                                                                  Keywoards: Misconception, straight motion, diagnostic tests

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah remediasi miskonsepsi yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran model problem solving efektif menurunkan jumlah miskonsepsi peserta didik materi suhu dan kalor kelas X IPA MAN 1 Pontianak. Penelitian ini berupa ekperimen semu rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini 33 peserta didik kelas X IPA 3 (kelas eksperimen) dan 33 peserta didik kelas X IPA 1 (kelas kontrol) dipilih dengan teknik intact group. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji U Mann-Whitney diperoleh Zhitung < -Ztabel (-5,78 < -1,96) maka Ho ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penurunan jumlah miskonsepsi peserta didik yang signifikan (? = 5%) antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Besar efektivitas penerapan remediasi miskonsepsi yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran terhadap penurunan jumlah miskonsepsi peserta didik tergolong tinggi (d = 1,46). Dengan demikian, penggunaan remediasi yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran efektif menurunkan jumlah miskonsepsi peserta didik materi suhu dan kalor. Kata Kunci: Integrasi Remediasi Miskonsepsi, Problem Solving Abstract: The purpose of this Quasi-Experimental Research Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design was used to determine remediation that integrated in the learning is effective to reduce the number of students? misconception about temperature and heat material in senior high school. This study involved 33 students of class X IPA 3 (experimental group) and 33 students of class X IPA 1 (control group) as the sample which had been chosen by intact group. The results based on the U Mann-Whitney test was obtained Zscore <    -Ztable (-5.78 < -1.96), so Ho is rejected. This showed that there are differences significant decreasement the number of students? misconception (? = 5%) between the experimental group and control group. The effect size implementation of the remediation that integrated in the learning to decreased the number of students? misconception is high (d = 1.46). Thus, the use of integrated remediation in learning is effective to reduce the number of students? misconception in the temperature and heat material. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to produce a four-tier multiple choice objective test on static fluid material to explore the misconceptions of high school students in Pontianak. The method used is Research and Development (R & D) with the Four-D model. The test consists of  20 four-tier multiple choice questions. The trial involved 30 students in a small-scale trial, and 192 students in a large-scale trial. Characteristics used are characteristics of diagnostic tests. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that the diagnostic tests developed can be used to explore misconceptions of students, namely: 1) high content validity 2) validity of valid items, 3) high reliability, 4) moderate level of difficulty, 5) RI according to education level learners. Abstract

Abstrak : Mengetahui pengaruh remediasi berbentuk peningkatan kemampuan verbal terhadap penurunan miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa pada teori kinetik gas menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian Pre-Experimental Design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest ini. Dua variabel yaitu peningkatan kemampuan verbal dan penurunan miskonsepsi siswa diuji korelasinya. Tes diagnostik berbentuk uraian sebanyak enam soal pada pre-test dan post-test diberikan kepada dua puluh tiga siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak dalam penelitian ini. Ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kecil antara kedua variabel dengan koefisien korelasi antara peningkatan kemampuan verbal dan penurunan miskonsepsi sebesar 0,296 dan memiliki Effect Size sebesar 0,015. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa dapat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan verbal. Kata kunci : Remediasi, Kemampuan Verbal, Teori Kinetik Gas. Abstract : Determine the effect of remediation in the form of an increase in verbal ability to decrease students misconceptions on the kinetic theory of gases into was the objectives of this one group pretest-posttest Pre-Experimental Design research. Coeficient correlation of student’s verbal skills and student’s misconceptions were calculated. Diagnostic test which consists of six questions on the pre-test and post-test was administrated among 23 of 12th grade students senior secondary participated in this study. The results indicate that there is correlation between the two variables (r = 0.296) and has a low Effect Size (0.015). This study shows that misconception experienced by students can be influenced by verbal abilities of the students.Keyword : Remediation, Verbal Ability, Kinetic Theory of Gases

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi getaran dan gelombang melalui pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan animasi yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 14 pontianak di kelas VIII I dengan subjek penelitian 40 orang. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dengan indikator keberhasilan untuk setiap siklusnya minimal 70% dari siswa yang mengikuti tes  mencapai nilai ≥75 yang dilaksanakan setiap akhir siklus. Berdasarkan teknik pengumpulan data dilihat dari hasil tes siswa yang berbentuk essay dan lembar observasi saat proses pembelajaran. Hasil tes yang dilaksanakan disetiap akhir siklus diperoleh persentasi indikator keberhasilan pada siklus I sebesar 72,22%, sedangkan persentasi indikator keberhasilan siklus II sebesar 77,50%, maka terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 5,28%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan animasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi getaran dan gelombang. Pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan animasi dapat menjadi alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi getaran dan gelombang. Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Kontekstual, Animasi. Abstract: This aims research to improve student results learning outcomes in material vibration and waves through contextual learning assisted animation implemented at SMP 14 Pontianak class VIII I with  research 40 subjects students. This classroom action research conducted by two cycles whit indicator of the success of least cycles of at least 70% of students who take the test  reachad a value of  ≥75 which is held each end of the cycle. Based collection techniques seen from the test results of students in the from of essays and observation sheets during the learning process. Results of tests conducted at each end of the cycle perscentage success indicators obtained in cycle I at 72,22%, while the percentage indicator of the success of the second cycle II of 77,50%, then an increase from the cycle I  of the cycle II of 5,28%. Based on the results of the study indicate that  contextual learning asssisted animation as to improve student learning in the pressure of the vibration and waves material. Contextual learning assisted animation can be alternatif to student learning outcomes in material vibration and waves. Keywords : Learning Outcomes, Contextual Learning,  Animation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan Macromedia Flash berbantuan Spreadsheet untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi tekanan zat cair di kelas IX B SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one group pre-test post-test design. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes berbentuk pilihan ganda alasan tertutup berjumlah 15 soal. Hasil tes diukur menggunakan Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 32 orang dipilih dengan teknik intact group. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, profil miskonsepsi menunjukkan rata-rata persentase bentuk miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa dari semua konsep sebesar 9.48% pada pre-test dan 0.78% pada post-test. Terjadi perubahan konseptual secara signifikan pada 12 soal atau 3 konsep dengan menggunakan uji McNemar dengan , χ2tabel = 3,81, dk = 1. The test results were measured using Certainty of Response Index (CRI). The sample of the research was 32 students which were chosen by intact group. Based on the results, profile misconception shows the average percentage of students’ misconception of concepts was shown about 9.48 % of pre-test and 0.78 % of post-test. There was conceptual change about 12 questions or 3 concept significantly by using McNemar test, with , χ2table = 3,81, dk = 1. The effectiveness of remediation showed the effect size of 1.2.
