Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of the questioning variation techniques application to improve VIII grade students learning outcome about vibration in SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. The research method used is experimental research method in Pre-experimental design form with one group pretest-posttest design model. 33 students from class VIII as the sample of this research taken by intact group technique. The instrument in this study was a test of learning outcomes, consisting of 15 multiple choice questions with open reason. The results of the analysis of pretest and posttest learning outcomes show an increase in learning outcomes as evidenced by a change of 27.45%. There is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest learning outcomes. The effect size of the questioning variation techniques application is 2,91 (high category). The questioning variations technique application was effecive to improve student learning outcomes. The results of this study expected to be an alternative in an effort to improve student learning outcomes about vibration. Keywords: Application, Learning Outcomes, Questioning Techniques Variations, Vibration

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe and find the causes of misconceptions among students at SMA TarunaBumi Khatulistiwa about parabolic motion. This misconception causes the learning objectives ofstudents at SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa not to be achieved. Based on the interview, there were3 causes of misconceptions experienced by students at Taruna Bumi Khatuliwa Senior HighSchool that were expressed directly by the teaching teacher, including: 1.Lack of students'numeracy skills in solving equations, 2. Students experiencing misconceptions in analyzingphenomenon of parabolic motion, 3. Lack of student interest in learning physics, especiallyparabolic motion. It is for this reason that the authors want to identify the causes and types ofmisconceptions experienced by students at SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa. The method used isa simple descriptive method with a sample of the entire population of class XI MIPA, as many as55 people. Data collection uses diagnostic tests with open reasons and interviews. The results ofthe analysis showed that students' misconceptions reached 41.57% about the motion of theparabola and the rest did not answer the questions given. Based on the results of interviews withstudents, the causes of misconceptions originating from the students themselves on parabolicmotion material include: students' initial conception, incomplete reasons and student abilities. These findings are expected to be used as material for consideration in choosing the appropriatetreatment to overcome students' misconceptions. Keywords: Identification, Misconception, Projectile motion

Abstract

AbstractThis purpose of this research to see the effectiveness of the influence of gasing methods in improving  students’ ability to solve the problem of Motion Straight in class X IPA SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau. The research method used Pre-Experimental design with One Group Pre-Test Post-Test design. The data collection tool is an essay test with a reliability level of 0.55 (Alpha). The research sample are 34 students. The average of students 'ability during the initial test was 24.05, while the average of students' ability after learning using the gasing method increased to 65.66. Result of data  analysis with test of wilcoxon got value  equal to -5,086. Since  is located outside the acceptance area of Ho (-1.96≤ Z ≤ 1.96), there is a significant score difference between before and after remediation using the gasing method. the used of gasing methods is an effective to improve students' ability to solve the problem with the criteria effect size that is equal to 1.6 (high category). This study is expected to be used as an alternative learning activities to improve students' ability in solving problems. Keywords: Poblem Solving ability, gasing methode, Motion Straight

Abstract

AbstractThis study discusses the development of e-magazine learning media (ElectronicMagazine). E-Magazine is an electronic version of the magazine because it is based onelectricity. Electronic magazines no longer use raw materials in the form of paper butin the form of digital files. This study aims to develop an e-magazine on Vibration,Waves and Sound at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak and to find out the responses and learningoutcomes of class VIII students to development that adapts the ADDIE framework ofthinking which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The research instruments used were observation sheets, interviews andquestionnaires. The results showed that the evaluation of e-magazines according tomedia experts, material experts, and teacher assessments each obtained an averageanswer score of 4.1 (good); 4.3 (very good); 4.8 (very good) then the percentage ofstudent response scores obtained by 83.3% (very good) and the learning outcomes ofpre-test and post-test students respectively were 58.5 and 77.2 an increase in learningoutcomes. Based on the overall development process, it can be concluded that the e-magazine developed and based on the responses of class VIII students is very well usedas a learning resource. Keywords: Development, E-magazine, Vibration, Waves and Sound

Abstract

Abstrack This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of learning model picture and picture to the students' learning outcomes on the impulse and momentum materials in the class X SMK AL-Madani Pontianak, the research form used was quasi experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Population in this research was student of class X SMK AL-Madani Pontianak. Sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique with class X RPL as experiment class and class X TKJ-1 as control class. Data collection was done by measurement technique. The data collection tool was an essaybased learning test consisting of 5 questions with a reliability level of 0.6. Based on the result of posttest data analysis using non parametric statistic test U Mann Whitney test with α 5% obtained -Zhit ≤ -Ztab is -4,889 <-1,96. This shows that there was a difference between the students' learning outcomes of the control class and the experimental class. The result of calculation of effect size is 0,9 (31,59%) which means study model picture and picture give high influence to result of student learning. Keywords: Learning result, physics, picture and picture.

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis study aims to determine the state of misconceptions on global warmingexperienced by students at SMA Negeri 1 Serawai and see whether there aredifferences in the proportion of misconceptions between male and femalestudents. The research method used is descriptive in the form of quantitativeresearch. The subjects of this study were students of class XI science for the2018/2019 academic year and the data was student answer sheets for thediagnostic test (AREPDiT). The results showed that 22 out of 29 people (75.86%)students had misconceptions about global warming. When viewed by gender, thenumber of male students who experienced misconceptions was 14 out of a total of16 people (87.50%), while the number of female students who experiencedmisconceptions was 8 out of a total of 13 people (53.84%). Thus, it can be saidthat male students experience greater misconceptions than female students. Keywords: Description, Global Warming, Misconception, Students

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the use of learning model Interactive Demonstration in the remediation of misconceptions about heat using the learning model interactive demonstration to students of SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak. This research used Pre-Experimental Design method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this research is students of class XII RPL consisted of 39 students selected by random sampling technique with an intact group. Data collection tool in the form of 9 questions in the form of multiple choice. The average percentage of the number of learners misconceptions 79,27%. Based on the Mc Nemar, large changes in the conception of learners obtained  (13,09) >  (3.84) for dk = 1 and α = 5%, there is a change in the conception of learners that significant after the given remediation. The value of the DQM obtained amounted to 79% as high, then the learning model Interactive Demonstration of effective in remediate misconceptions of learners. This research expected can be used as an alternative remediation activity in addressing misconceptions experienced by learners. Keywords: Heat,  Interactive Demonstration , Misconception, Remediation
