Abstract

AbstractThe aimed of this research was to determine the implementation of Problem Based Learning model based on student learning outcomes in expansion material substance in class X  SMA Negeri 1 Noyan. This research used quasi experiment research was with  one group pretest-posttest design. Sampling was done by intact group sampling technique. The number of samples is 23 student consisting of class XA. The instrument used was an essay test. From the data analysis obtained an average score of student learning outcomes before being given treatment amounted to 18.6 while the average score of student learning outcomes after being given treatment amounted 32. The research showed that from the paired sample of T-test with a significant level of 5%  showed that Ha is accepted. From the calculator effect size obtained by 1.62 with criteria classified as high meaning concluded that the problem based learning model can improve student learning outcomes. Keywords:       Learning Outcomes, PBM Model, Substance Expansion

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to known effectiveness the application of conceptual change model to reduce students? misconceptions on heat and temperature in SMA Negeri 2 Teluk Keramat. Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design used in this research. Sample of this research was students from XI IPAclass (n = 37) who choosen by saturated  sampling technique. Diagnostic test which consisted of 18 multiple choice question with open reasoning.Based on the results of data analysis found the findings, as follows: (1) the percentage of students? misconceptions before and after being given remedial learning each 63,36% and 18,01%; (2) the average decrease of misconceptions equal to 45,35%; (3) There was a significant conceptual change (  50,7;  1;  0,05) after being given remedial learning; and (4) The level effectiveness of remediation is high (DQM= 71,57%).Based on these results, it is expected that conceptual change model can be used as an alternative remediation activities to reduce misconception. Keywords:       Misconception, Remediation, Conceptual Change Model, Heat and Temperature

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh remediasi menggunakan strategi pembelajaran PDEODE terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental dengan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes berbentuk esai yang terdiri dari 6 soal yang mewakili tiga proses kognitif Bloom yang telah direvisi kepada 29 siswa SMA kelas X. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata persentase peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa untuk tiap proses yaitu membandingkan sebesar 24.14%, merangkum sebesar 6.89%, dan mengklasifikasikan sebesar 45.68%. selanjutnya, dengan taraf signifikansi (?) sebesar 5% diperoleh p = 0,000 dan Z = -4,729, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran PDEODE berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa. Adapun nilai efektifitas dari penelitian ini adalah 2.3 yang dihitung menggunakan Cohen?s Efffect size.   Kata kunci : Remediasi, Pemahaman Konsep, Strategi PDEODE Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the effect of remediation using PDEODE learning strategies to increase concept understanding of student on heat and temperature. This research used Pre-Experimental methode One-group pretest-posttest design. Data collecting was done by giving the test in the form of essay comprised 6 questions by representing three Bloom?s revisied cognitive process on understanding level. The test was administered to 29 grade 10th students. The result shows that the average percentage of increasing the student's concept understanding in each process are 24.14% for comparing, 6.89% for summarizing, and 45.68% for classifying. Furthermore, with a significance level (?) of 5% obtained p = 0.000 and Z = -4.729, this shows PDEODE learning strategy can affect to increase of student's understanding of concept and the effect size of this study is 2.3. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi fluida dinamis setelah diberikan remediasi menggunakan multimedia interaktif. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan berupa pre-experimental design dengan rancangan tipe one-group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini melibatkan 29 siswa yang dipilih secara intact group. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan perubahan persentase jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi dari 39% menjadi 8% dengan rata-rata persentase penurunan sebesar 31%. Selain itu, diperoleh juga perubahan persentase jumlah miskonsepsi siswa sebesar dari 40% menjadi 7% dengan rata-rata persentase penurunan sebesar 33%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia interaktif dapat mereduksi jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi serta jumlah miskonsepsi siswa. Maka multimedia interaktif dapat menjadi alternatif pada pembelajaran fisika untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa. Kata Kunci: Remediasi, miskonsepsi, multimedia interaktif. Abstract: This research was aimed to investigate the reduction of amount of students who experienced the misconception on fluid dinamic learning material after they have been treated by using multimedia interactive in remediation activity. Pre-experimental design was conducted with one group pre-test post-test design. This study enganged twenty nine students who were choosen by intact group. The result of data analysis showed that the percentage of amount of students who experienced the misconception was changed from 39% to 8% within the average percentage of reduction 31%. Besides, the percentage of amount of student’s misconception was changed from 40% to 7% within the average percentage of reduction 33%. The data showed that the use of multimedia interactive can reduce the amount of students who experienced the misconception and the amount of student’s misconception. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran NHT berbantuan simulasi PhET terhadap penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi fluida dinamis di SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Bentuk penelitian ini berupa pre-experimental designs dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 32 orang siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa teknik pengukuran menggunakan tes obyektif berbentuk pilihan ganda dengan alasan sebanyak 9 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remediasi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT berbantuan simulasi PhET berpengaruh terhadap penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi fluida dinamis di SMAN 1 Sungai Raya secara signifikan dengan  dan tingkat keefektifan remediasi tergolong sedang (0,62). Miskonsepsi dominan yang dialami siswa pada materi fluida dinamis yaitu semakin besar luas penampang yang dilalui fluida, semakin kecil pula tekanan fluida yang mengalir (43,8% siswa). Kata Kunci : Remediasi, NHT, PhET, penurunan jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsi   Abstract: This research aims to determine and describe the influence learning model NHT assisted PhET simulation to decrease the number of student who have misconception on dynamic fluids material at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. This research is pre-experimental designs with one-group pretest-posttest designs. The study sample consisted of 32 student of class XI Science 2 SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Data collection techniques used is measurement technique consist of 9 question using multiple choice objective test with reasons. The results showed that remediation using cooperative NHT learning assisted PhET simulation effect on decreasing the number of students who have misconceptions on dynamic fluid material in SMAN 1 Sungai Raya significantly with and the effectiveness of remediation were moderate (0.62). The dominant misconceptions experienced by students in the dynamic fluid material is the greater the cross-sectional area through which the fluid, the less the pressure of the flowing fluid (43.8% students). Abstract

Abstrak: This study aimed to determine the effectiviness of Experiment Method to remediate misconceptions in fluid statics at MAN 2 Filial Pontianak. The method used is Pre Experimental Design with One Group pretest post test design. Data taken from the students of class XI IPA selected intact group. The sample was 30 students. Data collection tool in the form of 18 multiple choice questions with three alternative answers and the reasons open. Based on the analysis of data obtained The average percentage decrease in number of students who have misconceptions of 43.7%. Based on McNemar test calculations obtained an average χ2Compute () ˃χ2Table (3.84) for db = 1 and α = 5%, then the overall conception significant changes after remediated using  experiment method. DQM effectiveness calculations obtained 71,71% (high category), the remediation using experiment method effective in addressing misconceptions learners. Keywords: Misconception, Remediation,  Experiment Method, Fluid Statics.

Abstract

AbstractThe study investigated student misconception and cause of the misconception on straight motion. A descriptive survey was employed. The sample for the study was 87 students of X grade from SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Data are collected by using multiple choice diagnostic tests with open reason and interview. The result indicated that student made  .66% misconception about straight motion. The misconceptions were on the eleven concept, including: the sama distance as displacement (32.18%), in parallel positions two objects have the same speed (35.63%), objects in front of other objects moving with greater velocity (20, 63%), if  speed increases, then acceleration is more and more (72.99%), the downward trajectory is a slowing down trajectory (16.1%), the acceleration of the object when it stops is zero (86.21%), if the object velocity is zero, then the acceleration is also zero (34.48%), objects with a larger mass will fall faster than objects with lighter mass (94.25%), the higher the object, the smaller the acceleration, and vice versa (83,36%), an object thrown up has zero acceleration at the highest point (88.50%) and,  the direction of acceleration is always the same as the velocity (85.06%).                                                                                  Keywoards: Misconception, straight motion, diagnostic tests

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of Think Pair Square (TPSq) learning model application assisted by animation in remediating students? misconception about rotational dynamics in Grade XI MAN 2 Pontianak. Method of research that is used is pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test design. Data was collected by using multiple choice test which consists of three alternative choices completed by reasons with 8 questions. The sample of this study is 36 students of XI IPA 1 which are chosen randomly by using Intact Group technique. Based on data analysis, the average of misconception?s reduction percentage that is got is 44.44% in each concept. Based on Mc Nemar test calculation and continued by Chi Squared test, identified that the average value of , with an average value of  = 26.57. It means that there is significant change of misconception in rotational motion concept. Based on the effect size calculation, the score of ES = 0,485 (medium categorized). Therefore the using of Think Pair Square learning model assisted by animation can remediate student?s misconception about dynamic effectively.Hopefully this study can be used as an alternative to remediate student?s misconceptions. Keywords: Misconception, Think Pair Square, Animation

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan konflik kognitif berbantuan PhET Simulation dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa kelas X SMA Kemala Bhayangkari pada materi rangkaian listrik. Bentuk penelitian berupa pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini melibatkan 20 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan miskonsepsi siswa pada tes awal sebesar 71% dan miskonsepsi siswa pada tes akhir sebesar 19%. Sehingga, terjadi penurunan miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 52%. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan menggunakan uji McNemar diperoleh 2hitung (7,41)   2tabel (3,84). Dinyatakan terjadi perubahan konsepsi yang signifikan setelah remediasi dengan menerapkan pendekatan konflik kognitif berbantuan PhET Simulation pada materi rangkaian listrik. Efektivitas remediasi diperoleh berdasarkan nilai Cohen’ standard effect size sebesar 1,476 dalam kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran ataupun kegiatan remediasi untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa. Abstract: This research aims to find out the effects of using PhET simulation-assisted cognitive conflict approach in the tenth grade of SMA Kemala Bhayangkari in the lesson on electric circuit. This research was in the form of pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The research involved 20 students. The result showed that the students’ misconception in the pretest was 71% and 19% in the posttest. Thus, there was a decline of 52% in student misconception. The calculation using the McNemar test resulted in 2count (7.41) > 2table (3.84). So, there was a significant change of conception after remediation using PhET simulation-assisted cognitive conflict approach in the electric circuit lesson. The effectiveness of remediation was obtained based on the value of Cohen's standard effect size of 1.476 in the high category. This research is expected to be used as an alternative in the instruction or remediation activities to address misconceptions among students. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to develop a problem-based static fluid learning module. This type of research was research and development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model. The problem-based static fluid learning module consists of a cover, preface, table of contents, introduction, content, and conclusions. The results of the data analysis showed that the problem-based physics learning module in terms of content worthiness was 81.11%, presentation was 83.33%, language was 81% and graphics was 82.22% which included in the very high eligibility criteria. Students' responses in the initial field test were 81.49% (very high) and in the main field test amounted to 77.49% (high). Keywords: Development, Problem-Based Learning Module, Static Fluid
