Abstract

Real Work Lectures (KKN) are a forum for the application and development of science and technology, which are carried out outside the campus within certain time, work mechanisms, and requirements. During this Covid-19 pandemic, we are expected to be motivators and facilitators of development efforts and even education, especially in rural area. The community can share existing problems and find solutions with the participation of KKN participants, cooperation is established in the education process to create a Qur'ani generation. The goals expected in this activity are: a) Kota Tengah village children have the ability and understanding of the Koran; b) more deeply in the sciences of tajwid and makhraj in learning the Koran; c) Knowing the laws of reading in the Koran so as to minimize errors in reading. The method used in the implementation of KKN is the PAR method. This method is an action research activity as a result of the research process, namely research that begins with planning, carrying out an action or action, and evaluating the results of the action. The research process is an act of understanding and changing social practice and involving practitioners in the stages of research. Some of the results that will be achieved in this KKN activity are the creation of Qurani generation children who understand the laws of reading, recitation, and makhraj in the Koran in Kota Tengah Village.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of social media usage, particularly Instagram, on consumer behavior in the context of fashion product purchases. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents. The results show that Instagram usage has a significant impact on the frequency of fashion product purchases. The t-test reveals that each additional hour of Instagram use per day significantly increases the frequency of fashion purchases. These findings indicate the importance of Instagram as an effective marketing platform in the fashion industry.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of communication digitization ability of teachers in completing administrative workload at SMP Negeri 1 Pegajahan. The research method used was qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were applied through in-depth interviews with 10 teachers and participant observation at SMP Negeri 1 Pegajahan. The results showed that the level of communication digitization ability of teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Pegajahan was still relatively low. This can be seen from the fact that many teachers still apply manual methods in completing administrative workloads, such as using paper and pens to write reports and correspondence. In addition, teachers are also still not accustomed to using digital applications to communicate with parents and guardians. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that it is necessary to improve the digitalization communication skills of teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Pegajahan. This can be done through training and workshops on the use of digital applications for administration and communication. In addition, schools also need to provide adequate infrastructure, such as computers and the internet, so that teachers can easily use digital applications.

Abstract

The closer it gets to the 2024 presidential election,the more political activities will be spread solely on social media to be seen and attract people's voting power towards each candidate for the 2024 presidential election. supporters of each opposing presidential candidate pair. This research aims to describe how hate speech behaves on social media (Twitter and Instagram) towards the 2024 Presidential Candidates of the Republic of Indonesia (RI). The research method used is a descriptive-analytic qualitative approach. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The objects of this research are the respective candidates for President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024, namely, Prabowo Subianto, Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo. The results of the research are that there are still many individuals who still convey words or sentences of hate speech towards opposing candidates as a form of dislike for the presidential candidate. Many people use social networks (social media) but only a few know the aspects and impacts on legal regulations. Of course, in a situation like this, people need to be wise and alert in using social media so as not to get caught up in negative things that happen through social media. This is the reason for conducting this research empirically.

Abstract

The many forms of communication media technology are advancing at an increasing rate in the contemporary globalization period. Global society has been significantly impacted by this. The mass media's emergence, which allows people to instantaneously communicate and enjoy content, is among the most significant achievements. Film is one of the products of mass media. A lot of movies are produced to impart life lessons, such the heroic and religious ideals of historical heroes, in an effort to instill in the millennial age a growing love for their nation and its religion, whatever form it may take. The selected item for this research was the movie Mat Kilau: Awakening of a Hero. The film's portrayal of the da'wah as well as the definitions of denotation, connotation, and myth present issues. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis model is employed in this study. The study's findings demonstrate that the movie Mat Kilau conveys the Malay people's values of bravery and hardship in keeping with Islamic teachings. It also incorporates values of preaching through the actors' conversation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari media digital terhadap seorang remaja dan seberapa besar tingkat apatis remaja yang dipengaruhi oleh media digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap 5 narasumber. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa dampak penggunaan media digital dalam sikap apatis remaja di kecamatan Sei Rampah, yaitu semua dampak penggunaan media digital tersebut tergantung dari pribadi yang menggunakannya, setiap orang khususnya remaja merasakan dampak yang berbeda-beda terhadap tingkat apatis individu dikarenakan penggunaan media digital terkhusus media sosial. Sebagian remaja ada yang merasakan menjadi apatis karena penggunaan media digital yang terlalu sering namun, Sebagian remaja lainnya tidak beranggapan seperti itu.

Abstract

The research was conducted at the Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of reading interest of students at Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School, to determine the level of media literacy abilities of Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School students, and to find out how much influence reading interest has on students' media literacy abilities at Sri Langkat Private Vocational School. Tanjung Pura. This research uses descriptive research methods with a quantitative approach. This quantitative approach emphasizes analysis in the form of numbers (numerical values) which are processed using statistical methods. In this case, researchers want to know how interest in reading influences students' media literacy skills at SMK S Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura. The results of this research show that interest in reading has gone well among students at the Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School. This was shown in the presentation as many as 23.10% answered strongly agree, 74.01% answered agree, 02.78% answered disagree, while 00.11% answered strongly disagree. Because many students have the motivation to read, feel happy when reading reading sources, and are not forced to read. Media Literacy Skills have also gone well among Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School students. This was shown in the presentation as many as 33.45% answered strongly agree, 65.48% answered agree, 01.07% answered disagree, while 00.00% answered strongly disagree. Because students already understand what kind of information they really need, students also know that information can only be obtained through any media such as books, the internet, newspapers, magazines or encyclopedias. And the influence of interest in reading on the media literacy abilities of Sri Langkat Tanjung Pura Private Vocational School students has a strong influence which can be seen from the influence test, t test results and the results of the coefficient of determination R2. The results of the t test of Reading Interest as an independent variable on Media Literacy Ability as a dependent variable show the results of the t count = 9.001 and t table = 1.987 (t count > t table) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that Reading Interest has a strong influence on Literacy Ability Media or in other words H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Media sosial merupakan salah satu platform dalam berinteraksi, yang mana dapat mempengaruhi seseorang berinteraksi positif ataupun negatif. Penggunaan media sosial juga mampu meningkatkan komunikasi sehingga dapat terhubung dengan banyak orang. Namun, dalam interaksi dengan lawan jenis, perkenalan yang dilakukan melalui media sosial ternyata belum cukup efektif hingga ke jenjang pernikahan. Sebab, banyak orang yang tanpa bertemu, yakni hanya menjalin hubungan melalui media sosial gagal sampai ke jenjang pernikahan. Hal itu disebabkan oleh jarak, sehingga kurangnya chemistry dan munculnya perasaan ketidakpastian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari interaksi lawan jenis yang dilakukan menggunakan media sosial, apakah interaksi tersebut hanya membawa seseorang pada proses perkenalan atau pernikalan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 67 orang yang memiliki pengalaman perkenalan hingga menjalin hubungan yang berawal dari media sosial. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan lembar kuesioner, dengan skala likert. Hasil pada penelitian ini berdasarkan 10 pertanyaan pada kuesioner adalah 68,81% dengan kriteria presentase setuju.Kata Kunci: Hubungan; interaksi; media sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini fokus pada analisis komunikasi kebijakan yang diimplementasikan oleh Pusat Kajian dan Perlindungan Anak (PKPA) di Medan dalam upaya pencegahan kejahatan terhadap anak. Data menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kasus kekerasan fisik dan seksual terhadap anak di Indonesia, dengan kejahatan seksual mendominasi sebagian besar insiden. Sebagai respons terhadap situasi darurat ini, pemerintah Indonesia telah mengeluarkan undang-undang yang lebih ketat untuk melindungi anak, namun tantangan masih tetap ada, termasuk persepsi masyarakat yang toleran terhadap kekerasan dan hambatan dalam mengawasi interaksi anak di dunia digital. Studi ini mengkaji bagaimana PKPA Medan menggunakan berbagai platform media untuk menyebarkan informasi dan mengedukasi publik tentang pentingnya melindungi anak-anak dari kekerasan dan eksploitasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami efektivitas strategi komunikasi yang digunakan PKPA dan memberikan rekomendasi bagi lembaga serupa dalam menyusun dan mengimplementasikan kebijakan komunikasi yang efektif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis konten dari kampanye komunikasi PKPA dan wawancara dengan stakeholder utama. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan respons terhadap perlindungan anak, serta menginformasikan pembentukan kebijakan dan praktik terbaik dalam pencegahan kejahatan pada anak di Indonesia.

Abstract

The presence of social media as a means of communication, directly or indirectly, and influences community life. Because it provides opportunities for users to interact and convey aspirations and inspiration, it can even affect the communication style of social media users. This study aims to determine the impact of social media on the behavior and communication style of students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The type of research is quantitative descriptive analysis. This research was carried out on campus IV of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The subjects in this study are 31 students of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Data was collected with a questionnaire instrument using a Likert scale. The data collection instrument uses an online questionnaire to students and the data is analyzed by a descriptive method. The results showed that the average of 10 student questionnaire questions female students of the Faculty of Social Sciences 75, 24% with the criteria of agreeing.
