Abstract

Medication errors are commonly found in patient prescriptions. In Article 12 of the Pharmaceutical Law, these cases are only subject to administrative sanctions. It is also stated in the Minister of Health Regulation No. 72/2016 Articles 3 and 12 that the sanctions imposed are only administrative sanctions in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations. The regulation is quite unclear, and will be clarified in the discussion of this research to identify laws that provide protection for ambulatory patients. The high problem of medication errors in patients indicates that it is required to take real action to prevent these cases to occur which cause detriment to the patient. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the factors that cause medication errors in the prescribing and dispensing phases. The research method used in this research is normative research with prospective data collection techniques which both methods can provide an overview and accuracy of data regarding the problem of medication errors on expired medicines. The results indicated that the factors causing medication errors in the prescribing phase and dispensing phase, such as work distractions such as ringing telephones, workload on health workers who are unable to do each job themselves, miscommunication between doctors and pharmacists about the use of drugs for patients, unsupported conditions while working, and education on writing prescriptions that do not comply with the requirements for completeness of prescriptions; the lack of a drug preparation room; and education regarding drug preparation that is not in accordance with prescription requests.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of health services for prisoners with disabilities in Surabaya Class I Penitentiary. The background of this study is rooted in the need to understand how the health care system functions for prisoners with disabilities, who often face unique challenges in the correctional environment. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of health services provided, identify existing barriers, and provide recommendations for improvement. The research method used was a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with health workers, prisoners with disabilities, and direct observation of health facilities and services in the prison. The results of the study indicate that although there have been significant efforts to meet the health needs of prisoners with disabilities, there are still a number of obstacles such as limited accessibility of facilities, lack of training for health workers on special needs, and lack of coordination between related parties. The conclusion of this study is that, although health services have improved, further adjustments are needed in terms of accessibility and training to improve the quality of services for prisoners with disabilities. Additional support and increased coordination between agencies will be essential to ensure better fulfillment of health rights in Surabaya Class I Penitentiary.

Abstract

The free health check outreach program which was held on August 19 2024 in the environment around campus aims to increase awareness and knowledge of the health of the surrounding community. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), this program involves students and residents in the environment around Sunan Giri University Surabaya. The results of the outreach show that it has succeeded in increasing health awareness and knowledge among the community. The success of this program is supported by the use of clear and interactive communication techniques, and also indicates the need for adjustments in information delivery methods for various audience groups. These findings suggest the need for the development of more inclusive health intervention models and studies of the long-term impacts of such programs to strengthen positive outcomes on public health.

Abstract

Desa Pasinan merupakan desa yang memiliki banyak sekali potensi khususnya dalam mengembangkan kebugaran jasmani. Kebugaran jasmani dilaksanakan agar dapat dicapai melalui salah satu senam sehat dengan mengajak anak-anak dan ibu-ibu PKK untuk berpartisipasi dalam rangkaian acara senam sehat desa pasinan. Strategi Participatory Rural Tujuan dari strategi penilaian (PRA) dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mendorong masyarakat agar turut serta dalam proses penciptaan dan pengembangan kegiatan olah raga sehat di Desa Pasinan. Hasil dari implementasi yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan semangat anak-anak dan masyarakat desa pasinan untuk mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan senam sehat. Warga desa menunjukkan kesadaran dan kemandirian dengan mengikuti senam yang berdampak baik terhadap kemampuan gerak kekuatan otot, kekuatan, kelenturan, kelincahan, dan keseimbangan tubuh. Melalui upaya ini, masyarakat Desa Pasinan Kecamatan Lekok mulai memahami pentingnya pengembangan senam sehat untuk menjaga kesehatan dan kebugaran tubuh.

Abstract

Fenomena tren fotografi di kalangan mahasiswa semakin berkembang seiring dengan meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial. Banyak mahasiswa mencari lokasi yang menarik untuk berfoto guna meningkatkan eksposur di platform-platform tersebut. Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya berupaya memenuhi kebutuhan ini dengan menciptakan spot foto kreatif di lingkungan kampus. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan estetika kampus serta memberikan wadah bagi mahasiswa dalam mengekspresikan kreativitas melalui fotografi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR). Kegiatan dimulai dengan pengamatan terhadap lokasi-lokasi potensial di kampus yang dapat dijadikan spot foto. Mahasiswa, dosen, dan pihak pengelola kampus dilibatkan dalam diskusi untuk merumuskan ide dan konsep spot foto yang diinginkan. Setelah itu, dilakukan proses desain dan pembuatan spot foto yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari mahasiswa sebagai bentuk pengembangan kreativitas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan minat mahasiswa untuk menggunakan spot foto yang telah dibuat. Spot-spot tersebut berhasil menarik perhatian dan sering digunakan untuk berfoto oleh mahasiswa. Evaluasi dari kegiatan ini juga menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa merasa lebih terinspirasi dalam berkreasi dan berinteraksi dengan lingkungan kampus. Saran untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut adalah melakukan perawatan secara berkala terhadap spot foto yang ada. Penambahan variasi spot foto juga dapat menjadi nilai tambah untuk menarik lebih banyak mahasiswa. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat terus meningkatkan keindahan visual kampus serta menciptakan pengalaman positif bagi mahasiswa dalam beraktivitas di Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya.

Abstract

Permasalahan limbah plastik terus meningkat dan membutuhkan solusi inovatif untuk mengurangi dampaknya terhadap lingkungan. Salah satu cara yang efektif adalah melalui pemanfaatan ecobrick sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan produk fungsional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji manfaat dari penggunaan ecobrick dalam pembuatan meja ramah lingkungan di Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa, dosen, dan staf kampus dalam proses pengumpulan bahan limbah plastik, pembuatan ecobrick, hingga merancang dan merakit meja ramah lingkungan. Bentuk kegiatan meliputi pelatihan pembuatan ecobrick, workshop desain dan pembuatan meja, serta sosialisasi manfaat ecobrick sebagai solusi alternatif dalam pengurangan limbah plastik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ecobrick dalam pembuatan meja ramah lingkungan tidak hanya memberikan manfaat ekologis, tetapi juga meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan di kalangan mahasiswa dan civitas akademika Universitas Sunan Giri. Selain itu, produk meja yang dihasilkan memiliki daya tahan yang cukup baik dan nilai estetika yang dapat diterima sebagai perabot kampus. Saran untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut adalah memperluas program ini dengan melibatkan lebih banyak institusi pendidikan serta menggali potensi ecobrick untuk aplikasi produk lainnya. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi contoh praktik terbaik dalam mengatasi permasalahan limbah plastik di lingkungan pendidikan sekaligus sebagai upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat kampus.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah plastik merupakan isu dan tantangan lingkungan yang terus menjadi perhatian global. Sampah plastik yang tidak terkelola dengan baik dapat mencemari lingkungan dan membahayakan ekosistem, terutama sampah – sampah yang disebabkan oleh limbah – limbah aktivitas manusia. Ecobrick merupakan salah satu upaya penanggulangan sampah dan langkah awal untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dan memanfaatkan sumber daya secara berkelanjutan. Metode yang dipakai yakni participatory Action Research (PAR). Daur ulang sampah anorganik dapat dijual belikan maupun bahan pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini yang dapat membantu motorik belajar dengan beragam kreasi. Pembuatan ecobrick bunga adalah solusi inovatif yang tidak hanya membantu mengurangi sampah plastik juga memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan sosial bagi sekitar.

Abstract

This research analyzes the criminal liability of criminals with mental disorders in the Indonesian legal system. Through a normative juridical approach, this research examines the regulations governing the legal and mental health aspects of criminal justice. The results show that although the law has regulated the accountability mechanism for individuals with mental disorders, its implementation still faces various obstacles, such as limited medical assessments and rehabilitation facilities. This study recommends improving the accuracy of psychological diagnosis, training of legal officers, and the application of rehabilitative and restorative justice approaches to balance the protection of society and the rights of individuals with mental disorders so that the legal system is more responsive to the needs of similar cases in the future.

Abstract

Pharmaceutical services are services that are directly provided to patients and are responsible for treating patients, so it is hoped that hospitals can provide optimal pharmaceutical services to achieve definite results and improve the quality of life of patients. Medication management is one aspect of hospital management that is very important in providing overall health services, so that it can guarantee patient treatment. This research uses a normative juridical method. Health service facilities must strive to carry out service activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, because if there are forms of administrative violations that can be legally proven, then the service facility that commits the violation may be subject to administrative sanctions. Forms of administrative violations of health service facilities. Forms of administrative violations if committed by health service facilities in working relationships with health workers, as stipulated in Law Number 36 of 2014 concerning Health Workers, can be subject to administrative sanctions. Imposing administrative sanctions on health service facilities. The imposition of administrative sanctions is part of the law enforcement process to control, supervise and take action against health service facilities that commit administrative violations. The application of administrative sanctions must of course be carried out in accordance with the form of the violation that occurred. Abstract

his study was conducted because there were several doubts about the security of patient personal data in the implementation of electronic medical records; leaks that were worried included, first, insurance applications requiring the transmission of patient data using electronic communication, second, patient data leakage through human resources at health facilities who deliberately photographed or provided patient data to other parties, and third, the occurrence of system leaks, one of which was due to a virus. This research aims to resolve disputes over patient data protection in health facilities by law Number 27 of 2022 Article 4 paragraph 2 concerning personal data protection. The research method used in this study is an empirical law approach. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the protection of patient privacy data in the process of applying for insurance/guarantee at Health Service Facilities has been protected by law, and this is legally done in the process made well with a sophisticated system, even recently there has been a special electronic message for health facilities called to restore.
