NOASP

This page shows an overview of an issue, including a breakdown by section, titles, page numbers, authors and more. The right column displays information about the journal, calls to action (make a submission, subscribe to newsletter), and a 'most read articles this month' feed.

NOASP, the Open Access division of the Norwegian publisher Cappelen Damm Akademisk, uses OJS and OMP to publish more than a dozen journals and a large catalog of books. By developing a custom theme, they were able to bring their Nordic identity to the design of the journal and press: clean lines, bold colorful blocks, and an uncluttered interface for readers.

The flexible theming system of OJS and OMP helped them give each journal and book a distinctive look, with unique colors and imagery, within a consistent layout and typograpy that links them visually to NOASP.

For the journals, they produce PDF, HTML, ePub and JATS XML, which they can make readable online using the built-in PDF and HTML viewers as well as the free eLens plugin for JATS XML.

This journal's article preview shows how OJS can be used to preview an article's full-text options (PDF, html, EPUB, xml), the open access license, the keywords, and more.
Metadata like citation guidance, DOIs, and access statistics are easy to find.
The full article view does not require login or download and the other methods of accessing the article are still visible in the right callouts.
Full-text HTML can be read directly on the site.
Full-text articles for the web generated from JATS XML.
