The Basic hosting plan is tailored for clients looking to launch a brand new journal and have a limited budget. Existing journal content cannot be migrated with a Basic hosting plan.
With the Basic hosting plan, you will receive access to all features of OJS, daily backups, free scheduled upgrades to long-term support versions, priority bug fixes, unlimited storage, unlimited articles and issues, and technical support for the low annual cost of $850 USD per journal.
The Basic hosting plan includes the following services:
- Installation and hosting of your journal on a shared installation
- A fixed set of default plugins
- Secure website SSL certificate
- Access to setup documentation and all support documentation
- Email-based support via our online ticketing system
- Built-in optimization for Google Scholar Indexing
- Preservation in the PKP Preservation Network
- Use of a custom domain
Journals on the Basic hosting plan are created on a shared OJS installation, allowing us to offer this as an economical option. Each journal’s site design, users, and configuration are completely independent. However, journals will have less flexibility as they will not be able to add additional plugins, themes, and access their database.
