Abstract

The A3 concept is one of the Toyota tools to propose problem-solving solutions. A3 provides status reports of ongoing activities. This research applies A3 concept to solve reject problem in plastic company assembling process. The reject rate in the assembly process is 15.6%. The implementation stage of A3 concept is identification of problem, targeting, root cause, goal setting, countermeasure, implementation plan, action and follow up. The A3 concept is in line with the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) process improvement cycle. The results show that using the concept of A3 can reduce the reject Assembly effectively and precisely.

Abstract

Innovation can be made of small things in our routine activities.  Seiri (sort), Seiton (set in order), Seiso (shine), Seiketsu (standards), and Shitsuke (sustain) is 5 words in Japanese, which is a systematic technique in correlation with efficiency. Kaizen has been widely known in the world as continuous improvement through small steps that affect the economy of the company. This system helps the management to manage the workplace, improve discipline, reduce waste and increase productivity. NGK Busi Indonesia is one of the companies owned by the Japanese spark plug that upholds the quality control contributed significantly to the implementation of Kaizen and 5S. This study explores the innovative implementation of 5S Kaizen refers to that applied in the production  floor. Direct observation was made as basic methodology of this study. PT NGK Busi Indonesia always fix some work through Kaizen techniques to improve efficiency.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji penerapan perancangan tata letak sesuai prinsip yang terdapat Toyota Production System ( TPS ) di bagian produksi blister di pabrik busi. Lini produksi blister ini terdiri dari beberapa stasiun proses produksi yang merakit menjadi satu barang jadi. Dimana masing – masing stasiun proses produksi mempunyai waktu proses yang berbeda – beda dan juga jarak antar stasiun yang jaug, sehingga ada beberapa proses yang menunggu stasiun proses sebelumnya. Tujuan utama dari studi ini berfokus pada penerapan prinsip TPS untuk pengaturan tata letak di produksi blister sehingga akan mendapatkan hasil produksi yang lebih tinggi dengan sumber daya manusia tetap. Tata letak stasiun kerja ini bertujuan agar waste movement dan dan waste waiting dapat diminimalkan. Dalam penerapan di area produksi blister ini, perubahan tata letak satsioun kerja dapat meningkatkan output 52% dari sebelumnya. Hal ini sangat significant perubahan yang terjadi di area produksi blister

Abstract

AbstractDetermination of the External Warehouse location has a vital role in the Supply Chain Management system to facilitate the delivery process to consumers who can run smoothly, quickly, and the most optimum distance. The company needs to build a new external warehouse because the current warehouse will be used for new machine installations. Therefore, it was decided to create an alternative external warehouse outside the factory. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum location of the external warehouse to be made. This study uses the Center of Gravity method to calculate the optimal area that will be considered by the location between the distribution of consumer locations and the number of shipments and also consider the size of the factory that will supply the product. Based on the results of this study, calculations using the Center of Gravity method found that the location of the external warehouse chosen was at (-7.328293, 112.7420916), the settlement area of Jemur Wonosari, Wonocolo, Surabaya City, East Java. By determining the exact location of the external warehouse, the company will benefit from the efficiency of transportation costs.AbstrakPenentuan lokasi gudang eksternal memiliki peran penting dalam sistem Manajemen Rantai Pasokan untuk memfasilitasi proses pengiriman kepada konsumen sehingga proses produk dapat terkirim dengan lancar, cepat dan jarak yang paling optimal. Perusahaan saat ini membutuhkan gudang eksternal karena area gudang yang ada akan digunakan untuk instalasi mesin baru. Oleh karena itu, diputuskan untuk membuat alternatif gudang eksternal di luar pabrik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan lokasi gudang eksternal yang paling optimal untuk dibuat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Center of Gravity untuk menghitung lokasi optimal yang sesuai dengan lokasi antara lokasi konsumen dan jumlah pengiriman dan juga mempertimbangkan lokasi pabrik yang akan memasok produk. Dari hasil penelitian ini, perhitungan menggunakan metode Center of Gravity menemukan bahwa lokasi gudang eksternal yang dipilih berada di (-7.328293, 112.7420916), yaitu daerah Jemur Wonosari, Wonocolo, Kota Surabaya, Jawa Timur. Dengan menentukan lokasi yang tepat dari gudang eksternal, perusahaan akan mendapat manfaat dari efisiensi biaya transportasi.

Abstract

In plastic packaging companies using the Inject stretch blow machine (ISBM) process, changing molds is an activity that has the potential for work accidents. This is based on work activities carried out involving equipment that is quite heavy and has enormous dimensions. The purpose of this research is to find out the hazard factors of work accidents that occur and provide the development of solutions to avoid work accidents. This study uses the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method and the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) method. The results of this study are the factors that cause work accidents in the mold-changing process at the Inject stretch blow machine (ISBM). The stages carried out in this study are hazard identification, risk assessment, risk control, and residual risk assessment. The results obtained from this research are in the form of designing SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for production activities and installing warnings on each machine, which will be used as a proposal for appropriate work risk control to prevent work accidents in this company. In addition, personal protective equipment that workers can use is the use of gloves, head protectors, and the use of safety shoes. In addition, workers are always required to check the working tools’ condition before starting work. This will be used as an appropriate work risk control proposal to prevent work accidents in this company. The research results of digitization transformation with significant productivity, transformation with significant added value,transformation with significant downstream research use qualitative methods. Suggestions for the future with the current limitations of researchers in searching for literature reviews, the results of this study can add characteristics and knowledge in digitalization transformation in general. The novelty of this study is that there is a significant relationship between variables and can be made in the latest framework.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine what factors affect the performance of supply chain management for companies to take the right policy regarding the implementation of an effective system, in this study uses liquid literature and using Mendeley, for the factors that influence significantly Distribution, Warehousing Management Systems.  In this study, many reviewed several articles on the topic of the dependent variable and this research can be used as a reference for future research in manufacturing companies. The result that can be seen is that the warehouse management system plays a very important role in supporting the performance of supply chain management in the company. This study does not use population and sample because it is a qualitative literature review.
