Abstract

Harga diri akademik merupakan penilaian positif individu terhadap kemampuan diri sendiri yang mampu menghantarkan individu pada kesuksesan dan keberhasilan akademik di masa depan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan harga diri akademik remaja di Kota Malang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan survey terhadap siswa SMP di Kota Malang. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 7138 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 315 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan propotional stratified random sampling dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 57% memiliki harga diri akademik yang tinggi. Tingkat harga diri akademik yang tinggi pada siswa SMP di Kota Malang didorong oleh aspek memperoleh pengakuan dari orang lain atas prestasi yang dicapai.Kata kunci: harga diri, remaja, malang, deskriptif

Abstract

Self-help has become an interesting issue lately and is an alternative intervention that is of interest to individuals to help mental health problems experienced. Various models of self-help guides are available and can be accessed by individuals, including through the internet and social media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective form of self-help for individuals who experience mental health problems. The research method used is literature review and as many as 8 of the 86 articles reviewed during the last two years. The articles that have been obtained were analyzed and synthesized using content analysis techniques to obtain an overview of self-help guidelines. The results showed that self-help guides were effective for individuals, including training materials, intervention practices, and manuals for helpers or therapists who support counselees to practice the guidelines.

Abstract

Academic resilience is an individual's academic resilience in facing academic pressure. In fact, in the industry 5.0 era resilience is needed by individuals to face various challenges in the future. This study determined the prevalence of academic resilience of Social Science students in facing the industry 5.0 era. This research employed survey design. The sample was 116 students of Social Sciences who were selected using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data collection used academic resilience questionnaire. It was tested for validity and reliability with a KMO and Bartlett's Test value of 0.741. The data was analyzed descriptively. Students' academic resilience was shown by having competence, self-confidence, character, commitment, interest, and self-control to overcome difficult situations at hand. Commitment is an important aspect for individuals to be tough in academic situations.

Abstract

Pemberian reinforcement dan punishment dalam bidang pendidikan sudah menjadi hal yang lazim dilakukan oleh guru maupun konselor sekolah. Kedua hal tersebut berguna untuk pembentukan perilaku siswa atau untuk mengatasi perilaku malasuai yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini untuk mengetahui bentuk reinforcement dan punishment yang diberikan oleh guru BK di Kabupatern Malang. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan pada guru-guru SMP yang tergabung dalam MGBK Kabupaten Malang. Keberhasilan pelatihan ini ditunjukkan dengan kemampuan guru dalam menjelaskan bentuk reinforcement dan punishment yang diberikan pada siswa. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru atau konselor sekolah menggunakan bentuk reinforcer yaitu sosial, aktivitas, dan token, sedangkan punishment yang diberikan masih berkaitan dengan kegiatan akademik siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a comprehensive view of academic procrastination carried out by students in terms of cognitive, affective, and behavior. This study used a survey research method. The population of this research is high school students in East Java and the research sample is 200 students spread over Malang, Blitar, Bangkalan, and Lamongan. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor descriptions of students' academic procrastination were found. Counselors can use the findings of this study as the basis for developing BK services, especially in designing intervention strategies to reduce academic procrastination of high school students.

Abstract

Career awareness is an important thing to grow during elementary school children, before entering the middle school level through a career guidance program. The objective of Career awareness training is to increase student career awareness that includes aspects of self-understanding, education exploration and employment, and career planning. The training was held in Singajaya Learning Group, 27 students. Successful training is identified from changes in understanding, behaviour and actions demonstrated both before and after training. The results of the training provided significant changes for the trainees. Advice from the results of the training that the teachers or turor need to give a career guidance program for early career awareness can be achieved and able to provide a way of success for the future of children.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: mengidentifikasi kontribusi simultan dari kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik ke nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; mengidentifikasi kontribusi parsial kepercayaan diri akademik ke nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; mengidentifikasi kontribusi parsial dari self-efficacy akademik ke nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; dan mengidentifikasi kontribusi kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik pada nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: ada kontribusi simultan kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik padanilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; belum ada kontribusi parsial kepercayaan diri akademik pada nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; ada kontribusi parsial dari self-efficacy akademik pada nilai akhir matakuliah Statistik Inferensial; dan kontribusi kepercayaan diri akademik dan self-efficacy akademik untuk nilai akhir kursus Statistik Inferensial sebesar 42,90%. Contribution of self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to students' final semester grade AbstractThe objectives of the study were to: identify the simultaneous contribution of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; identify the partial contribution of academic self-confidence to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; identify the partial contribution of academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; and identify the contribution size of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course. In conducting the study, the quantitative method was implemented. Results showed that: there has been simultaneous contribution of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; there has not been partial contribution of academic self-confidence to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; there has been partial contribution of academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course; and the contribution of academic self-confidence and academic self-efficacy to the final grade of Inferential Statistics course has been 42.90%.

Abstract

Career development influences learners’ life in the future and their career selections. The development career of learners at the primary level has an important role to facilitate individuals in planning, understanding, and having clear career identities. This research described the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor levels of Primary School learners living in suburban areas of Yogyakarta based on their career development. The research sample consisted of primary schools in suburban Yogyakarta with 268 learners. The applied sampling technique was convinced sampling. The researchers used the personally developed questionnaire on career development based on Bloom's taxonomy. The questionnaire consisted of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects with expert judgment to validate the questionnaire. The applied technique of analyzing the data was a descriptive technique to explain the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor levels of the primary school learners based on their career development. The applied data type was the frequency to determine the learners' career development levels. The findings showed that 97% of learners had excellent career development. Then, the remaining percentage, 3%, had not developed excellent career development. The evidence was observable in the poor skill to improve achievement and achieve the expected objectives, lack of self-esteem and skills to struggling, and lack of effort to seek help from other friends.

Abstract

Need for achievement is the encouragement, both within and outside the individual, to perform certain behaviors. This encouragement is needed by individuals to achieve academic achievement in school. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of motivation for achieving adolescents in Malang, Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive type of research. The population of this study was 7183 junior high school students. The study led 315 students and sampled using proportional stratified random sampling. The data collection technique uses an achievement motivation scale developed by the researcher himself based on theory and data analysis using frequency in descriptive statistics. The results showed that 69% of adolescents were motivated to perform at a moderate level, 21% at a high level, and 10% at a low level.  This means that the level of motivation for achieving students at a moderate level needs to be improved through the support of parents and teachers, so that students can achieve the expected academic success.
