Abstract

For many observers, Banten is well known as an area where the population has a strict religious understanding onislamic law. Colonial officials and experts in Islamic studies such as Snouck Hurgronje and GF Pijper, testified that compared to other Muslims across Java , Muslim in Banten and Cirebon were stricter in practicing Islam . The phenomenon of the social life of the religious community in Banten is necessarily formed within a very long time span. This paper traces the root of the formation of public religious understanding ojMuslim in Banten. Using a socio-historical approach, this paper then leads to the conclusion that the sultan of Banten issued policies that had a greater emphasis to the adherence to the Shari'a rather than Sufism. Religious orientation on the fiqh-oriented can explain the Islamic militancy Banten community, as witnessed by the colonial officials, and even still can be seen up to this present moment.Key words: Jslamization, Sultanate, Banten

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendalamkan analisis terhadap Teori Elit Kekuasaan oleh C. Wright Mills, seorang tokoh terkemuka dalam bidang sosiologi dan ilmu politik. Dengan fokus pada bukunya "The Power Elite" yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1956, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi 13 aspek anatomi teori tersebut. Aspek-aspek tersebut mencakup konteks sosial dan politik yang menjadi latar belakang kelahiran teori, realitas sosial yang melahirkan teori, aliran pemikiran yang mempengaruhi Mills, latar belakang pribadi dan sosial Mills, pertanyaan yang diajukan atau fenomena sosial yang dipertanyakan, penjelasan dan pemahaman yang ditawarkan oleh teori, jenis realitas sosial yang dikaji, lingkup realitas sosial, lokus realitas yang dianggap otonom, lokus penelitian yang dianggap independen, metodologi yang relevan, implikasi keberpihakan (bias) teori terhadap nilai dan kepentingan ekonomi serta kekuasaan, dan teori-teori lain yang mempengaruhi teori tersebut. Analisis dilakukan terhadap jenis dan lingkup realitas sosial yang dikaji oleh teori, lokus realitas yang dianggap otonom, serta lokus penjelasan yang dianggap independen oleh Mills. Selain itu, penelitian membahas implikasi keberpihakan teori terhadap nilai dan kepentingan ekonomi dan kekuasaan, serta mencantumkan teori-teori lain yang mempengaruhi pemikiran Mills. Melalui pendekatan ini, penelitian ini berupaya memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap struktur dan elemen-elemen penyusun Teori Elit Kekuasaan C. Wright Mills, menyajikan landasan bagi pengembangan pemikiran sosiologi dan ilmu politik, serta merangsang diskusi lebih lanjut mengenai dinamika kekuasaan dalam masyarakat. Kata kunci: Leadership, Husband, Wife, Independence, Financial.

Abstract

The development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum with the insight of religious moderation is one of the strategic efforts to face the challenges of pluralism in higher education, especially at Yudharta University Pasuruan which is a public university. This study aims to formulate a model of PAI curriculum that integrates religious moderation values. The research method used is field-research with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving lecturers, students, and managers of PAI study programs at Yudharta University. The results showed that the development of a curriculum with a religious moderation insight was implemented The curriculum development model used at the Yudharta campus uses and applies the MBKM model, because indeed the spirit of MBKM is a form of implementation of Merdeka Belajar, where Merdeka here is to give freedom to students. The forms of implementation applied at the Yudharta campus include strengthening moderation values through both academic and non-academic activities, including lectures, discussions and workshops involving many parties from different religious backgrounds.

Abstract

Perumahan Grandeast Residence Masangan Sidoarjo memiliki masyarakat dengan latar belakang agama dan budaya yang beragam, menuntut moderasi beragama yang fleksibel untuk membangun kerukunan. Dalam konteks ini, dialog antar agama, sikap toleran, kegiatan bersama menjadi solusi penting untuk merespons keberagaman dan membangun harmoni. Moderasi beragama di Perumahan Grandeast Residence Masangan Sidoarjo membantu meredam potensi konflik, membangun pemahaman, dan membentuk masyarakat multikultural yang harmonis, inklusif serta memandang keragaman sebagai kekayaan. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1)Bagaimana kondidi sosial masyarakat multikultural di Perumahan Grandeast Residence Masangan Sidoarjo? (2)Bagaimana upaya penerapan moderasi beragama pada masyarakat multikultural di Perumahan Grandeast Residence Masangan Sidoarjo?. Pengumpulan Data melalui Wawancara, Observasi dan Dokumentasi., Analisis Data dengan melalui Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data dan Penarikan Kesimpulan. Temuan dalam penelitian karya ilmiah ini (1) Moderasi beragama di Perumahan Grandeast Residence Masangan Sidoarjo mendapat dukungan positif dari masyarakat multikultural, mencerminkan respon baik terhadap keberagaman agama dan budaya. Pentingnya moderasi beragama ini sebagai faktor kunci untuk memenuhi kebutuhan spiritual dan moral masyarakat serta berperan dalam pembentukan karakter dan toleransi ditengah keberagaman agama. Dukungan aktif dari masyarakat, kegiatan bersama, dan inisiatif lokal menunjukkan integrasi yang berhasil, menciptakan keharmonisan sosial serta menghargai perbedaan budaya dan agama. (2) Implementasi moderasi beragama di Perumahan Grandeast Residence Masangan Sidoarjo menjadi landasan penting untuk pola pikir seimbang dan inklusif di tengah masyarakat multikultural, menciptakan lingkungan inklusif dan harmonis, serta mendukung kerukunan antarumat beragama dalam keberagaman agama dan budaya.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah bagian terpenting dari kehidupan manusia, karena pendidikan dapat menjadikan manusia menjadi baik atau buruk, tergantung pada prosesnya. Oleh karena itu untuk mencetak manusia yang baik maka diperlukan pendidikan yang baik pula. Pendidikan berbasis masyarakat merupakan salah satu jenis pendidikan yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat. adapun rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah: (1) Bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan islam berbasis masyarakat dalam membangun harmoni sosial di desa Pelang-Kembangbahu-Lamongan? (2) Apa saja factor pendukung dan penghambat pendidikan islam berbasis masyarakat di desa Pelang-Kembangbahu-Lamongan? Jenis penelitian ini dalam karya ilmiah ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus atau penelitian lapangan atau Field Research. Pengumpulan Data melalui Wawancara, Observasi dan Dokumentasi., Analisis Data dengan melalui Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data dan Penarikan Kesimpulan. Temuan dalam penelitian karya ilmiah ini (1) pendidikan islam berbasis masyarakat di desa pelang-kembangbahu-lamongan tercermin dari kegiatan-kegiatan yang meliputi kegiatan harian seperti TPQ da madrasah diniyah, kegiatan mingguan seperti pembacaan tahlil, yasin dan diba’, juga jama’ah nariyah, adajuga kegiatan dua pekan sekali yaitu pengajian jum’at legi dan jum’at kliwon. Adapun bentuk harmoni sosial yang ada di desa pelang meliputi kerukunan antar umat beragama, kerja bakti, lomba dan pentas seni, juga sosialisasi. (2) kesadaran,partisipassi aktif masyarakat, dan dialog antar agama merupakan factor yang mendukung dalam membangun harmoni sosial di desa Pelang-kembangbahu-lamongan. Selain itu ditemukan juga factor penghambat, yaitu perbedaan budaya dan adat juga kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Learning Management System (LMS) in improving the quality of Islamic education, particularly in the context of integrating Islamic values into digital-based learning processes. The background of this study stems from the need for adaptive learning transformation in line with technological developments, without neglecting the main objectives of Islamic education, namely the formation of faithful and noble character. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach involving teachers, students, and educational administrators as research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed thematically using the interactive Miles and Huberman approach. The results of the study indicate that LMS contributes significantly to the effectiveness of learning, both in terms of material delivery, increased learning independence, and the strengthening of Islamic character. LMS enables teachers to design structured, interactive, and Islamically rich learning materials through features such as digital modules, discussion forums, and reflection journals. Additionally, the use of LMS encourages the transformation of teachers' roles into spiritual facilitators and digital educators who can bridge the academic and religious development needs of students. Despite challenges such as limited access and digital literacy, LMS has proven to be an effective medium in supporting Islamic education that is relevant to contemporary challenges. This study recommends the development of LMS based on Islamic values in a broader and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses nilai-nilai islam moderat dalam muatan kurikulum di sekolah. latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam dunia pendidikan sebagai Upaya membentuk karakter peserta didik yang toleran, inklusif dan mampu hidup harmonis dalam keberagaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus di Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu Al-uswah Tuban. Teknik pengumpulan data menunjukkan bahwa insersi nilai-nilai islam moderat dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan kurikulum nasional dan kurikulum Jaringan Islam Terpadu baik dalam pembelajaran intrakuliler maupun ekstrakulikuler. Nilai-nilai islam moderat ditanamkan melalui materi ajar, metode pembelajaran, budaya sekolah serta keteladanan guru. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan menekankan keterlibatan siswa aktif siswa dan penguatan karakter seperti project based learning dan discovery learning. Evaluasi dilakukan secara menyeluruh mencakup aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Penanaman nilai-nilai Islam moderat di sekolah ini terbukti efektif dalam membentuk generasi yang religius, terbuka, dan berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of moderate Islamic education with an inclusive approach in the formal educational setting of SMP Negeri 21 Surabaya. The research is grounded in the importance of shaping a tolerant and open-minded generation capable of living harmoniously in a multicultural society through a balanced and adaptive Islamic religious education. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with Islamic Education (PAI) teachers and the school principal, as well as documentation of learning activities. The findings reveal that the integration of moderate Islamic values is reflected in the learning materials, teaching methods, and student activities such as social service, Dhuha prayer, and daily sermons. The inclusive approach is implemented by instilling interfaith tolerance, recognizing diversity, and fostering a learning atmosphere that respects differences. Teachers play a crucial role in internalizing moderation values through exemplary conduct and diversity-friendly pedagogical methods. This integration not only enhances students' understanding of peaceful and rahmatan lil ‘alamin Islamic teachings but also strengthens their social character. This study contributes conceptually and practically to the development of a more moderate and inclusive Islamic Education curriculum. In conclusion, an inclusive approach to moderate Islamic education in public schools can create a humanistic, tolerant, and inclusive learning environment, relevant to the diverse context of Indonesian society today

Abstract

Banten is unique compared to other places in Indonesia. It has a long tradition  of obedience  to Islam, and history of struggle  against  the Dutch  colonialism.  When  the  spirit  wind  of reform  hits  almost  all regions  of the archipelago  in early twentieth  century,  Banten  came through it in the 1920’s. This article attempts to trace the history of Islamic education reform in Banten. Then, by the use of comparative method, this paper has provided a better explanation of the first Islamic educational organization in Banten to apply modern educational system in the organization of education. In this context, the author examines two educational institutions that existed in Banten, namely Mathla’ul Anwar and Al-Khairiyyah  with the focus on aspects of reforms they suggested  to  do.  These  two  institutions  of  Islamic  education  are pioneers of Islamic education reform which succeeded in transforming the traditional  Islamic educational  institutions  of pesantren  into the form of madrasah schools, and later contribute to the birth of some leaders of Islamic education in all regions of Banten. Study of these two institutions is inevitably relevant and significant to understanding the phenomenon of Islamic education in Banten.
