Abstract

The energy crisis has stimulated scientists to begin developing the concept of zero energy building through residual energy conservation and turn it into something useful, One of them is the use of ethanol in PEM fuel cells are obtained through distillation. To change the temperature Ethanol and can be destilled, will be designed heat exchanger that has a function : raising the temperature of ethanol in order to evaporates with intermediate high temperature water, and then lowering the temperature back pure ethanol with low-temperature water heat convection. ‘Spiral Tube In Pipe’heat exchanger is designed to transfer heat that brought by ethanol with the temperature  80 C  to the cooling water in a spiral tube wrapped with a pipe. Hopefully, through this method can achieve maximum heat transfer value, with low cost on ethanol output temperature 35 C. The basic principles in the development of this heat exchanger are the achievement of maximum heat transfer, Simple in design  and economic value.Tube material made of copper wich has good conduction coefficient. Water pipes made ​​of PVC plastic gutter is easily available and cheap. Minimum pipe size is designed to be more flexible, easily placed anywhere and is simple to maintain. In this paper also included a CFD simulation to determine the flow characteristics that occur along the copper tube. Mathematical equations of physical phenomena was resolved through a linear regression methods. Keywords: heat transfer, Spiral tube , efficiency, CFD simulation

Abstract

This research is based on at least graduates who are accepted to work in the business world or industrial world. The population in this study are students of class XI competence of Light Vehicle Engineering expertise amounted to 81 people and 5 teachers of mentors. Sampling technique is sample random sampling. The sample of this study amounted to 45 students and all mentoring teachers were 5 people. The data collection tool is a validated questionnaire. The results showed that industry work practices were positively and significantly related to the readiness to enter the workforce with a correlation value of 0.227 and a significance value of 0.046. This means that partially industrial work practices have a significant relationship to the readiness to enter the workforce of students of class XI competence in the expertise of Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung.

Abstract

Rendahnya intensitas belajar siswa pada mata diklat Perawatan Engine dan Unit Alat Berat menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab rendahnya intensitas belajar siswa yang ditinjau dari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan metode campuran dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa di kelas XI Teknik Alat Berat SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh, Sumatera Barat. Setelah melakukan olah data dan analisa terhadap hasil angket penelitian terungkap bahwa rendahnya intensitas belajar siswa di kelas tersebut disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor: kurangnya minat belajar siswa, kurangnya keterampilan guru dalam mengajar, kurangnya alat pelajaran dan kurang baiknya ruangan belajar.

Abstract

One of the parameters of exhaust emission testing on diesel engines is the level of smoke opacity. If the opacity is high then the emission quality is bad. The instrument for measuring smoke opacity is called Smoke Opacity Meter. The commonly used basic concept to measure smoke density is by utilizing a light sensor (optical sensor). Development of Smoke Opacity Meter applies the concept of Digital Image Processing. Even though it has initially begun, the measurement result is yet as perfect as Optical Sensor Concept. Therefore, this paper describes on how to implement the Digital Image Processing Method in processing the smoke opacity video data.

Abstract

MDM is a trade cooperative business unit that supplies healthy food options for consumers around the Andalas University campus. So far, the selection of suppliers that provide supply goods to the stores is only based on the trust between both parties, which is the principle of mutual acquaintance and kinship. The problems that may arise from a process like this are the lack of the right supplier, unavailability of goods, relatively higher product prices, late delivery, and low-quality goods. Therefore, we need a GDSS that is capable of overcoming these problems. This GDSS helps in decision-making by determining the right supplier for each of the stores owned by the MDM Cooperative. The methods used are AHP, TOPSIS, and BORDA, involving six criteria and five tested alternatives. The AHP method is used to obtain the weight of each criterion taken from the pairwise comparison matrix. The TOPSIS method is used to determine which suppliers get priority for supply goods. Combining the AHP and TOPSIS methods can reduce the weaknesses of the TOPSIS itself by giving subjective weights. The use of the BORDA method can provide maximum results in selecting this supplier. This GDSS also involves three decision-making bodies: the head of the cooperative, the deputy, and the treasurer. The results of this prototype can show the best alternative selected based on the ranking method.

Abstract

Cooperative is one form of businesses that is widely known as people concern and has a legal entity. In helping its members, the cooperative embraces familial value principle and mutual cooperation for the common social welfare. In carrying out its duties and functions, the cooperative requires an accurate and accountable recording. However, currently there are still many cooperatives performing their recording manually. Therefore, an information systems is needed in assisting the cooperative management in term of this recording. This research developed an object-oriented cooperative information systems using FAST method. Its purpose is to develop a cooperative information systems that can facilitate its  administrators in order to record the data through information systems-based, so the inaccuracy in recording, and loss of important data and archives can be avoided. Its result is a system that has been implemented into a cooperative. Hence, the information systems is developed using Java Programming language and MySQL database. From the system testing results shows that this information systems is capable in processing the accounting data associated with savings and loan transactions automatically, and produce information in the form of managerial and financial reports.

Abstract

Guru sebagai salah satu penentu keberhasilan pendidikan siswa dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi pada kemajuan teknologi. Kemajuan teknologi terkadang tidak dibarengi dengan fasilitas yang ada. E-learning idealnya membutuhkan dukungan infrastuktur IT yang baik. Berkembangnya layanan web dan sosial media ternyata dapat digunakan untuk membangun sebuah mekanisme e-learning yang murah dan efisien. Di SMK N 1 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok belum ada sistem e-learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melatih guru tentang cara membuat sistem e-learning yang murah dan efisien. Sistem e-learning dibuat dengan memanfaatkan beberapa layanan web yang sudah ada dan tersedia dengan gratis yaitu : facebook, google drive dan google form. Dari hasil penelitian didapati bahwa 75 % guru yang mengikuti pelatihan telah mampu membuat sebuah sistem e-learning untuk kegiatan pembelajaran. Sedangkan 25 % masih kesulitan dalam membuat secara mandiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan bagaimana sensor-sensor dalam sistem EFI bekerja pada putaran idle, mesin rotasi tingkat menengah dan tinggi, dengan melihat sensor output. (2) Mengetahui pekerjaan aktuator pada Sistem EFI pada putaran idle, mesin rotasi tingkat menengah dan tinggi. Metode eksperimen digunakan untuk penelitian ini. Mesin EFI dengan tipe D EFI yang digunakan telah dianalisis. Alat pindai digunakan untuk mengamati untuk mengukur output yang dihasilkan oleh sensor dan mengukur kerja aktuator sistem EFI menggunakan alat Pindai. Dari percobaan ditemukan bahwa peningkatan putaran mesin akan menghasilkan peningkatan kerja aktuator pada Sistem EFI, yang terdiri dari Injeksi Waktu dan Pengisi Waktu Pengapian, tetapi untuk Idle Speed ​​Control Valve (ISCV) dan Intake Camshaft Timing perubahan relatif stabil.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan bertujuan untuk mampu menyiapkan peserta didik yang kreatif, menguasai ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, serta memiliki kompetensi yang sesuai dengan tuntutan dunia kerja. Kualitas lulusan SMK tidak hanya ditentukan oleh faktor individu dari siswa itu sendiri, akan tetapi juga sangat ditentukan oleh faktor dari luar, salah satunya komptensi pendidikan yang bisa menyiapkan lulusan sesuai dengan tuntutan dunia kerja. Program Ipteks bagi Masyarakat (IbM) bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan Kompetensi Kejuruan Teknologi Otomotif bagi guru dan siswa SMK di kabupaten Solok, kegiatan IbM dengan tema Peningkatan Kompetensi Kejuruan Teknologi Otomotif bagi Guru dan Siswa SMK, dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta pelatihan sebesar 13,16 % dibidang kompetensi kejuran Teknologi Otomotif.

Abstract

Pada umumnya lampu sein pada sepeda motor dikendalikan secara manual. Dan tidak seperti pada mobil yang secara mekanis dapat mematikan lampu sein setelah mobil berbelok, lampu sein sepeda motor sering terlihat masih hidup meskipun sepeda motor sudah berbelok. Hal ini biasanya disebabkan oleh kelalaian pengendara. Pada artikel kali ini dijelaskan bagaimana mendesain sebuah logika kendali dengan menggunakan metode Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan yang akan mematikan lampu sein secara otomatis melalui beberapa kondisi tertentu. Metode kontrol jaringan syaraf tiruan yang digunakan adalah Backpropagation yang dikembangakan dan diuji simulasi dengan MATLAB 2017a. Pembelajaran pada jaringan Backpropagation dilakukan untuk mendapatkan bobot jaringan yang sesuai kemudian bobot tersebut digunakan untuk logika kontrol. Dari pengujian terbukti bahwa Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan Backpropagation dengan 2 neuron hidden layer dapat digunakan untuk logika kontrol dalam mengendalikan lampu sein sesuai dengan kondisi yang diinginkan dengan tingkat akurasi 100%.
