Abstract

In the implementation of educational practices, Indonesian is used as the language of instruction. Teacher candidates are prepared to have language competence as their knowledge in carrying out classroom learning. Important language competence is owned by a prospective elementary school teacher to facilitate communication with students and design learning about language. In an effort to improve material understanding and mastery of good language competence, prospective teachers in Primary School Teacher Education have constraints in the learning process in tertiary institutions that are identified based on 9 indicators. These indicators consist of curriculum, practicum activities materials/tools, books/modules, initial abilities of prospective teachers, learning resources from outdoor learning, learning resources from outdoor language learning, learning resources from indoor learning, learning environments, motivating teacher candidates, and the ability to judge yourself. This study uses a qualitative research approach. This study aims to analyze the constraints students face in Indonesian language competence. The sample in this study were students in Primary School Teacher Education with a total of 30 respondents. Data collection using interview and documentation techniques.

Where the number of all samples from this study were 86 elementary school teacher education students taken by purposive sampling technique. The experimental group (n = 43) was taught with the inquiry learning model assisted by the ethnoconstructivism module, while the control group (n = 43) was taught using traditional teaching modul. The data were then analyzed using the SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics and inferential static. Findings: There was a significant difference in the attitude of students between the control class and the experimental class. It was found that using ethnoconstructivism inquiry models obtained differences with t-test values 18,473 on student attitudes. It can be underlined that the inquiry model with ethnoconstructivism has a significant influence on student attitudes towards cultural values compared to conventional groups

Abstract

This study aims to develop instructional media in the form of teaching materials in the form of electronic modules by using the Pageflip Professional 3D software application for fifth-grade elementary school students. The method in this study uses the Research and Development (R & D) method that adapts the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Based on the results of the assessment in this study on the questionnaire obtained the frequency perception of 28 students with a percentage of 93.4% in the sufficient category. For the interest questionnaire to get frequency as many as 24 students with a percentage of 80.1% in the good category. While the motivation questionnaire obtained a frequency of 28 students with a percentage of 93.4% in the good category. The resulting data shows that the electronic ethnocontructivism module based on the Pageflip Professional 3D software developed can be used as a teaching material in the learning process.

Abstract

This study has the purpose of (1) How is the pedagogic competence of students of elementary school teacher education; (2) How is the science competency of elementary school teacher education students; (3) Is there a relationship between pedagogic competence and science competence of elementary school teacher education students. The research method used in this study was a quantitative survey. Based on the results of the study, students' data obtained from elementary school teacher education for pedagogic competence and science competency fall into the unfavorable category with a pedagogic percentage of 67.9% and IPA of 63.52% and obtained data for the meaning of pedagogic efficiency (7.632), min 2.0), max (13.0) and standard deviation (2.2921) while for science competencies, the average (7.84), min (0), max (16) and standard deviation (2,773) and also between pedagogic competencies with natural science competencies produce 0,483 These figures reflect the variables of pedagogic competence with science competence because the value of r is below 0.5. Pedagogic competence with IPA competency obtained probability = 0,000 <0,005, so there is a significant existence. Instead of offering a pedagogic with IPA competencies mark '*'. Means together with pedagogic competencies with IPA competencies have a significant relationship.
