Abstract

Citra yang mengalami penurunan mutu atau kualitas, misalnya karena mengandung cacat atau derau (noise), warnanya terlalu kontras, kurang tajam, kabur (blurring), dan sebagainya. Ketika sebuah citra ditangkap oleh kamera, seringkali tidak dapat langsung digunakan sebagaimana diinginkan karena kualitasnya belum memenuhi standar kebutuhan pengolahan. Metode mid point merupakan sebuah filter yang berfungsi mengantikan nilai sebuah piksel dengan nilai rata-rata dari nilai terkecil dan nilai terbesar dari gray-level dalam subimage dibawah jendela ketetanggaan ukuran mxn. Microsoft visual studio.net 2008 merupakan salah satu software buatan Microsoft Corp. yang didesain khusus dalam pembuatan program-program profesional berbasis windows platform. Aplikasi  pengolahan citra digital menggunakan metode mid point filter untuk melakukan proses manipulasi citra dan memperbaiki mutu citra agar terlihat tampilan citra lebih baik.

Abstract

One of the sources of air pollutants are carried by most humans is cigarette smoke. Effects of smoking are numerous and dangerous to the health of both active smokers (actors) as well as passive smokers. The habit of smoking by the community of long standing. Smokers are generally carried out by people who are reaching adulthood from various circles, one of which is the student. Cigarette smoke is a pollutant for humans and the surrounding environment. Many diseases have been shown to arise from smoking, either directly or indirectly. This study aimed to: identify the level of dependence of Lancang Kuning University students Pekanbaru to smoking. This research was conducted at the campus of the University of Lancang Kuning. Data were obtained from filling the questionnaire will be processed in the following way Fargerstorm Tolerance Questionnaire Br J Addict. The number of respondents as many as 30 students obtained the degree of dependence on cigarettes ranging from mild, moderate and height / weight. Several factors are thought to affect, among other things such as limited money (still depending on shipment parent), time to smoke limited (for lectures and practicum) and there is an effort to save money. In this study, the students obtained the degree of dependence on cigarettes: lightweight (6.67%), moderate (70%) and high (23.33%).

Abstract

Forest fire is one form of the disorder occur more frequently. The negative impact caused by forest fires large enough cover ecological damage, declining biodiversity, the decline in the economic value of forest and soil productivity, chan ges in micro and global climate and the smoke damage the health of people and disrupting transport by land, river, lake, sea and air. Given the impact of the forest fires, the efforts to protect the forest areas is very important. In an effort to control forest fires it is essential to map vulnerability to wildfires prepared to know which areas have the potential for fires. The purpose of this study was to map the vulnerability of land and forest fires in an effort to support the establishment of forest fire management strategy. Through a vulnerability map wildfires can provide vulnerability information to policy-making forest fire prevention / fire control and is expected to be the basis in prevention efforts as early as possible. The study was conducted from June until July 2014 and the case study research in Rokan Hilir Regency. Results of mapping the vulnerability of land and forest fires shows that most areas of Rokan Hilir Regency has a severe impact and the level of vulnerability is very high. Low-prone areas have extensive 9152.55 hectares (1.01%), the rate of moderate-prone area of 158,943.95 hectares (17.49%), high-level-prone area of 382,448.62 hectares (42.08%) and very high levels of vulnerability with an area of 358,374.00 hectares (39.43%).

Abstract

This study aims to 1) identify the types of NTFP and the level of excellence in Kampar District, 2) Formulate a potential HHBK development strategy to be excellent in Kampar District. The study was conducted on May -August 2016, with survey method. Data collection is done on three objects that are potential areas of NTFP, community and related offices. The data collection on the potential of NTFPs and the determination of the level of excellence of each type of HHBK shall be guided by the Minister of Forestry Regulation No.P.21 / Menhut-II / 2009. The results of the study identified the types of HHBK in Kampar Regency there are 9 types, namely: honey (from Apis dorsata), rattan (Calamus sp), durian (Durio zibethinus), mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), tampui (Bacaurea macrocarpa) Scaphium macropodum), Pinang (Areca catechu), petai (Parkia speciosa) and gaharu (Aqularia malaccensis), with HHBK excellence class including class II and class III. D evelopment strategy of superior HHBK of Kampar Regency: 1) Improvem ent of product quality and diversification (honey and durian); 2) Increasing the quality of rural human resources; 3) Strengthening of rural institutions; 4) Facilities / business capital development, post-harvest handling and marketing.

Abstract

The forest inventory is basically a data collection activities. This activity is relatively important, because the effect on further activities. Hence the data collected must have a high enough accuracy. A way of determining the sampling unit is considered to be simpler, easier, and faster is the tree sampling method. The purpose of this study was to quantify the potential large stands of eucalyptus in the Forest of eucalyptus plants in the Faculty of Forestry and calculate the relative efficiency of sample unit. The total area is 0.11 ha of eucalyptus stands. Unit examples used are circular, 4-trees sampling, sampling 5 -trees, and 6-trees sampling is done by simple random sampling method. Potential stands of eucalyptus with method 4 sample trees have an average volume stands perplot is 0.096 m3, with the volume of the stand for the entire area is 111.09 m3 with a sampling error of 43.65%. Potential stands of eucalyptus trees by the method of example 5 has a volume average stocking each plot is 0.091 m3, with the volume of the stand for the entire area is 105.40 m3 with a sampling error of 51%. Potential stands of eucalyptus by using 6 sample trees have an average volume stands each plot was 0.08 m3, with the volume of the stand for the entire area is 92.83 m3 with a sampling error o f 54.77%. Potential stands of eucalyptus with a diameter circular sample plots of 12 m has an average volume stands each plot is 6,37 m3, with the volume of the stand for the entire area is 65.61 m3 with a sampling error of 22.63%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of erosion hazard through erosion prediction by USLE method and Geographic Information System (GIS) at Water Catchment Area (WCA) Danau Wisata Bandar Kayangan. This research was conducted at WCA Danau Wisata Bandar Kayangan, Limbungan Village, District Rumbai, Pekanbaru. The research data was collected by survey method. Secondary data collection includes a slope digital map, land cover map, rainfall data, and soil type map of WCA Danau Wisata Bandar Kayangan. While the primary data is done by field checking to know land use pattern and soil type around WCA Danau Wisata Bandar Kayangan. The result shows that the erosivity index (R) is 108. The soil erodibility index (K) in Podsolik Merah Kuning (PMK) is 0.166. Slope length index (LS) on slope <8% flatland (20), 8 -15% ramps (15), 16 - 25% slightly steep (10). Crop management and soil conservation (CP) index covers settlement (1), Bush / 0.01), plantation (0,02), and lake (0,01). The result of overlay of rainfall maps, soil type, slope class, and crop management and soil conservation obtained 46 land units at WCA Danau Wisata Bandar Kayangan. The highest Erosion Hazard Index (EHI) is found on land unit 45 of 358 on residential land cover. The largest potential erosion on land unit 44 with soil loss is 41,189.45 ton / ha / yr. Level of EHI in WCA Area of Danau Wisata Bandar Kayangan includes Class EHI1: Very Light area of 32,627 ha; EHI Class 2: Lightweight of 59.86 ha; Class EHI 3: Medium area of 247.52 ha; Class EHI 4: Weight of 977,127 ha, Class EHI 5: Very Weight of 4,549.43 ha.

Potential stands of eucalyptus with a diameter circular sample plots of 12 m has an average volume stands each plot is 7.88 m3, with the volume of the stand for the entire area is 76.72 m3 with a sampling error of 14.43%.

Abstract

The increasingly development in Pekanbaru city caused the environmental change. This condition also affected to the increased of surface temperature on the urban area of Pekanbaru City. The increasing of surface temperature will lead the increasing of air temperature which could impact to the uncomfortable activity in Pekanbaru City. The high air temperature in urban areas is caused by increasing built-up areas and declining green open space. Green open space should be built to lower air temperature and to create a comfortable micro climate. Green open space should be developed at locations with high air temperature to reach its efficiency. The research was aimed to identify the phenomena of Heat Island in Kota Pekanbaru. The processing satellite image data of band 6 of Landat 7 ETM+ was conducted to produce the distribution of surface temperature in Pekanbaru City. The results shows that, the surface temperature of the urban area is higher than the green open space area, especially for residence area, road, office building area and bare land. This condition indicates that the phenomena of Heat Island accurs in Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

Arboretum as one example of ecosystems that have the diversity of flora and fauna requires good management, so as to provide benefits to the surrounding environment. Biological diversity (biodiversity) that exist in the Arboretum area is quite high. This is because the Arboretum has many species which are usually brought in from outside, then planted and maintained as a collection of plants for various purposes of academic activities, in addition to local species that live naturally in the Arboretum. Limited funds arboretum management and level of understanding about the functions and benefits of some of the arboretum, arboretum resulted in the existence of a very minimalist. This issue will greatly affect the existence of the arboretum in the future.The purpose of this study are aware of the economic value of the existing flora and fauna in the Dipterocarpaceae arboretum and get the benefits of environmental services for the around arboretum. Economic valuation of the timber is done by using the market price approach. To obtain economic value of wood made a simple calculation that the total timber volume multiplied by price per unit of wood. While the economic value of air services is divided into two parts namely the absorption of carbon dioxide by the market price method and coolness by using surrogate price method. Value of economic in Unilak dipterocarp arboretum of Rp. 15,538,672,849.13 consisting of timber economic value of Rp. 385,843,912.00 and the coolness of the economic value of Rp. 15,137,500,000.00 and carbon uptake value of Rp. 15,078,937.13. The economic value of benefits in the form of services (intangible) greater (97.52%) than the value in the form of objects (tangible) (2.48%).

Abstract

Berkurangnya Hutan Kota di Kota Bangkinang dikhawatirkan mengakibatkan penurunan biodiversitas burung dan ketidakseimbangan ekologis. Oleh karena ituperlu dilakukan kajian tentang keanekaragaman jenis burung pada Hutan Kota di Kota Bangkinang dalam rangka upaya pelestarian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung keanekaragaman jenis burung yang ada di Hutan Kota, Kota Bangkinang dan mengidentifikasi potensi habitat burung tersebut. Analisis vegetasi dengan membuat petak ukur menggunakan kombinasi metode jalur dan garis berpetak. Petak ukur semai (2mx2m), pancang (5mx5m), tiang (10mx10m) dan pohon (20mx20m). Data burung diambil dengan menggunakan metode titik hitung (point count) berdiameter ±40 m. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 20 menit di setiap titik pada pukul 06.00-08.00 WIB, 12.00-14.00 WIB dan 16.00-18.00WIB. Pada Hutan Kota, Kota Bangkinang didapatkan vegetasi tingkat pohon terdiri dari 17 suku, 21 jenis dan 133 individu. Untuk burung didapatkan 16 suku, 24 jenis dan 434 individu dengan jenis yang terbanyak adalah Cucak Kutilang (Pycnonotus aurigaster) sebanyak 53 individu. Suku Columbidae dan Pycnonotidae memiliki jumlah jenis paling banyak (3 jenis). Analisis keanekaragaman jenis burung dikategorikan keanekaragaman sedang (2,91). Indeks kemerataan jenis burung di kedua habitat yang diamati cukup tinggi (0,92).Strata IV merupakan strata yang paling banyak dimanfaatkan oleh burung. Jenis burung yang memanfaatkan paling banyak strata vegetasi adalah Cucak Kutilang (Pycnonotus aurigaster), Merbah Cerukcuk (Pycnonotus goiavier) dan Cinenen Kelabu (Orthotomus ruficeps).
