Abstract

This research investigated the use of discovery learning models to enhance students’ speech script writing skills. This research aimed to focus on the study of the effectiveness and difficulties of discovery learning models to improve students’ speech script writing skills. The research applied an experimental method by using test, observation, and questionnaires for collecting data techniques. The population of this research was students of MTs Syarikal Islam 2 Kalapanunggal. The class of IX-B was the experimental class, and a class of IX-A was control class. The use of the discovery learning model is proven to enhance students’ speech script writing skills. The effectiveness of this experimental model is shown that the average score of the pretest of the experimental class is 53,5, and the post-test score is 84,3. By comparing the control class without treatment, it indicates the effectiveness of the intervention in the experimental class. The research shows a meaningful comparison of the experimental class and control class, which gain 2,56 by using the t-test. The data obtains that t-count is higher than t-table or significant is the value of t-table<t-count, namely 1,68 < 2,56 > 2,42. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model has shown the improvement for students’ speech script writing skills effectively.

Abstract

Maize is a crucial multipurpose strategic food crop in Indonesia. Land expansion employing dry land, row-space technology, and suitable varieties, is emerging as the solution to fulfill the rising need for seeds and biomass. The study was carried out from August to December using a factorial randomized block design consisting of two treatment factors, namely the treatment factor of 6 varieties and 2 row-spacings, to verify the new superior hybrid maize, which is adaptable in dry land Senayan village, Poto Tano sub-district, West Sumbawa district, and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The results showed that JH 37 and JH 29 varieties were adaptive to be developed in dry climate dryland areas for seed and biomass production using various narrow and wide planting space system. Jakarin, Bisi 18 and HJ 21 varieties could be planted in drylands by considering the planting space system for seed or biomass production, while the Nasa 29 variety was not  recommended to be planted in drylands area for seed production, but could be used for biomass production by considering a wide planting  space system such as Legowo system.

Abstract

Genetic parameters, which include genetic variability, heritability, and correlation between characters, are essential factors in the selection process. This study aims to: 1) determine the genetic variability and heritability for agronomic characters in hybrid maize and 2) determine the characteristics that directly affect hybrid maize yield. The experiment was conducted at Indonesian Cereal Research Institute (ICERI) Maros from June to October 2021. Fourteen maize hybrids genotypes were arranged in a randomized block design (RBD) with four replications. The observed traits were plant height, ear height, stalk diameter, leaf angle, leaf length, leaf width, days to anthesis, days to silking, days to maturity, number of harvested plants, number of harvested ears, fresh ear weight, shelling percentage, moisture content, ear length, ear diameter, number of rows per ear, number of seeds per row, 1000 seeds weight and yield. The results showed that agronomic characters with high heritability and broad genetic variability were plant height, ear height, leaf angle, leaf length, ear diameter, and 1000 seeds weight. The characters that most influence final yield were fresh ear weight and shelling percentage

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) mahasiswa PBSI, FKIP, Universitas Pakuan dengan menerapkan model Project Based Learning berbasis Lesson Study. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas A, semester III, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pakuan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan simpulan, dan verifikasi data. Teknik yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan pengkajian pada hasil proyek (RPP). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) berbasis Lesson Study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pembelajaran membaca teks berita setelah menggunakan aplikasi Tik Tok pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Panggarangan Kabupaten Lebak, dan untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala yang dialami siswa dalam membaca teks berita melalui penerapan aplikasi Tik Tok. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu teknik tes, angket, dan observasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini, yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 3 Panggarangan Kabupaten Lebak. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan teknik sample cluster random sampling. Penerapan aplikasi Tik Tok dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Panggarangan Kabupaten Lebak. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan bahwa hipotesis tersebut telah teruji kebenarannya melalui prates dan pascates. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan pemerolehan data prates kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata 50 dengan keterangan kurang mampu, sedangkan nilai rata-rata pascates di kelas eksperimen dalam menulis teks berita yaitu 88 dengan taraf kemampuan sangat mampu. Untuk memperkuat bukti kebenaran hipotesis pertama maka dilakukan perhitungan perbedaan mean kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan rumus uji t, diperoleh data harga thitung = 3,27 dan d.b = 60, selanjutnya dilakukan pengetesan pada satu skor nilai “t”. d.b. 60 dan diperoleh harga t0,05 = 1,67 dan harga t0,01 = 2.39. demikian, thitung jauh lebih besar dari pada ttabel atau harga thitung signifikan karena nilai ttabel thitung, yaitu 21,673,272,39.

Abstract

Afiksasi sangat diperlukan dalam sebuah tulisan agar memiliki nilai estetika dalam sebuah kata yang dirangkai menjadi kalimat. Imbuhan dalam bahasa Indonesia mempunyai potensi yang sangat besar dan sangat penting dalam menentukan arti kata. Pentingnya imbuhan dalam membentuk sebuah kata dan adanya ketidaksesuaian kaidah dalam penulisan imbuhan, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan makna kata prefiks pada surat kabar online Radar Bogor dalam Rubrik Pendidikan”, dan prefiks yang dijadikan untuk penelitian ialah prefiks meng-, ber-, per-, ter-, dan di-. Metode penelitian merupakan langkah-langkah untuk mengkaji data, dan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengecekan keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kutipan dari surat kabar online Radar Bogor dengan 11 judul berita. Hasil analisis bentuk dan makna kata berafiks prefiks pada surat kabar online Radar Bogor rubrik pendidikan” jumlah keseluruhan data yang telah didapatkan dan dianalisis, yaitu sebanyak 128 data. Dari keseluruhan data prefiks tersebut terdiri dari prefiks meng- sebanyak lima puluh data dengan persentase 39%, prefiks per- sebanyak empat data dengan persentase 3%, prefiks ber- sebanyak lima puluh satu data dengan persentase 40%, prefiks ter- sebanyak dua belas data dengan persentase 9%, dan prefiks di- sebanyak sebelas data dengan persentase 9%. Dengan demikian, dari jumlah tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk dan makna kata berafiks dalam surat kabar online Raadar Bogor ditemukan prefiks yang paling dominan muncul ialah prefiks meng- dan prefiks ber-.

Abstract

This study aims to determine several genotypes of upright leaf-type maize with high production, in addition to knowing the genotypic characters obtained from the selection of upright leaf-type corn with closer spacing. The study was arranged as an experiment using a randomized block design (RBD) with the treatment of types of corn resulting from crosses. There were 6 genotypes tested, namely SU1, SU2, SU3, SU4, SU5, SU6, and 2 control genotypes namely SU7 (variety RK75) and SU8 (variety RK457). Genotypes were tested based on agronomic characteristics and yield. The results showed that the production of the tested and the control genotypes were not significantly different. However, the highest average production was found in the comparison genotype, especially the RK457 variety, which was 7.49 t/ha. The results of the selection of agronomic characters stated that the genotypes tested and the control genotypes showed no significantly different results on the characters of plant height, cob height, leaf length, leaf width, and leaf angle but significantly different on the stem diameter character. Genotype SU5 had an average stem diameter of 20.75 mm, not significantly different from genotype SU6 (18.95mm), RK457 (19.24 mm), and RK75 (17.79 mm). However, it was significantly different from the genotypes SU1 (16.35 mm), SU2 (14.40 mm), SU3 (16.05 mm), and SU4 (16.93 mm). The selection results for yield characteristics stated that the tested and control genotypes did not have significantly different characters.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui kendala dalam penggunaan media YouTube Akun Kok Bisa? dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks tanggapan peserta didik kelas VII SMP Citra Nusa serta Kabupaten Bogor yang dialami oleh peserta didik pada keterampilan menulis teks tanggapan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, dan angket. Populasi yang terdapat pada penelitian ini sebanyak 147 peserta didik dan sampel yang diujicobakan sebanyak 58 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Cluster Sampling dan kelas yang terpilih VII D sebagai kelas kontrol dan VII sebagai kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan analisis, hipotesis pertama dapat dibuktikan kebenarannya pada kelas eksperimen saat menerapkan prates mendapatkan rata-rata persentase 63,14% dengan kategori cukup mampu berbeda setelah diterapkan pascates mendapatkan 74,59% masuk kategori cukup mampu. Berdasarkan hasil mean dengan uji-t, bahwa to dengan nilai 2,96 dan d.b 56 lebih tinggi dari ttabel dengan nilai 2,66 dan 2,00, maka lebih besar dibandingkan ttabel dari taraf 1% dan taraf 5%, kemudian apabila dituliskan menjadi (2,662,00). Hipotesis kedua dapat dibuktikan kebenarannya sebanyak (59%) mengalami kendala dalam menentukan kaidah kebahasaan teks tanggapan (52%) mengalami kendala dalam menggunakan kaidah kebahasaan teks tanggapan. (55%) mengalami kendala dalam menuangkan ide dan gagasan dalam menulis teks tanggapan.

Abstract

Learning the Indonesian language cannot be separated from the use of textbooks. In using textbooks, teachers must consider several aspects, especially text readability. This study aims to measure text readability in Indonesian textbooks using the Fry Graph Formula and determine the suitability of the text used in the book with the student's school level. The present study applied the descriptive analysis and quantitative approach method to count and analyze texts in several Indonesian language textbooks readability using the Fry graph formula. Three Indonesian language textbooks with 45 measured text in 11th grade were analyzed. This study found that 25 texts showed the results "Not Appropriate", 16 texts showed the results "Appropriate", and four texts showed the results "Invalid". Based on the analysis, the number of readabilities of text in Indonesian language textbooks was easy for textbooks at 11th grade. The findings in this study can help the teacher adjust and choose the suitable teaching materials in Indonesian language textbook to improve teaching and learning quality. Before selecting a leading textbook as a learning source, we suggest teachers analyze text readability to improve learning efficiency and quality.

Abstract

Correlation analysis is a statistical method used to determine the level of relationship between traits in a plant. This study aimed to determine the correlation between agronomic traits that directly and indirectly affect the productivity of several hybrid corn genotypes under normal conditions and under low nitrogen stress. This research was conducted at the Food Crops Research and Assessment Installation (IP2TP) Bajeng, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province, from July to October 2024. This study was conducted using a randomized split-plot design. The main plot was the fertilizer rate consisting of two levels: 200 kg N/ha (nn) and 100 kg N/ha (nr), while hybrid corn served as a subplot consisting of 25 genotypes and two control varieties (BISI 18 and ADV 777). The results showed that under normal nitrogen conditions, plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, soil plant analysis development, ear height, harvested ear weight, ear length, and weight per 1,000 kernels correlated significantly with productivity. Under low nitrogen stress, harvested ear weight and grain yield significantly influenced productivity, while anthesis silking interval correlated significantly at the 5% level (p<0.05).
