Abstract

Penelitian ini menggambarkan keberhasilan dan dampak kegiatan demonstrasi pembuatan sabun cuci piring cair yang dilaksanakan di Dusun Giri Mulya, Desa Suka Makmur. Metode pelatihan, diskusi, dan tanya jawab digunakan dalam kegiatan ini, melibatkan 30 ibu-ibu PKK yang terbagi dalam 6 kelompok. Alat dan bahan termasuk Texapon, SLS, LABS, Camperlan, NaCl, parfum, dan pewarna digunakan dalam pembuatan sabun. Demonstrasi ini dipandu oleh kelompok Mahasiswa Kukerta Universitas Riau dengan tujuan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pembuatan sabun cuci piring serta meningkatkan kesadaran tentang kebersihan dan dampaknya pada kesehatan dan kenyamanan rumah tangga. Hasil kuisioner menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden merasakan manfaat dan pemahaman yang baik terkait demonstrasi ini. Hasil keseluruhan menunjukkan kesuksesan demonstrasi dan aspirasi kolaborasi di masa depan.

Abstract

Axial pumps are one type of pump that is widely used for industrial purposes to move fluids from low places to higher places with large capacities. The axial pump has very complicated components so it has a very expensive price. This study aims to design and build an axial flow pump with a 5-inch PVC pipe casing driven by an electric motor. The design process begins with the determination of pump specifications including the capacity of the fluid you want to flow and the height of the fluid you want to move, then proceed with calculations including the capacity of the electric motor, shaft, and bearings, then proceed with the process of making components according to the calculations that have been done and the final stage is the process assembly and testing. The result of the calculation is that for an axial pump specification with a maximum head of 0.5 m, a pipe diameter of 0.14 m, and a maximum capacity of fluid that can flow 0.02 m3/s, a ½ Hp motor is required with a drive shaft diameter of 10 mm. The test results show that the pump can operate properly, the water capacity that can be moved is 0.0138 m3/s for the variation in the number of blades 2 and 0.0161 m3/s for the variation in the number of blades 3. So the efficiency for the variation in the number of blades 2 is 46.54% and for blade 3 is 54.53%

Abstract

This research aims to improve the performance of the Savonius type L wind turbine by varying the overlap distance on the turbine blades. The L type Savonius turbine with two blades is used as a model, with a turbine height of 800 mm and a rotor diameter of 350 mm. The variations in overlap distance used are 20 mm, 30 mm, and 40 mm. The research was conducted at the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Islamic University of Kalimantan. Research data was obtained through direct testing in the field, by measuring the turbine rotation speed and the resulting load. The research results show that the overlap distance has a significant influence on turbine performance. The power coefficient (CoP), torque coefficient (Cm), and static torque coefficient (CTs) values reach their highest point at an overlap distance of 30 mm. However, when the overlap distance exceeds the optimum point, these values tend to decrease. The optimum point is reached at a turbine rotor angle of 90 degrees.

Abstract

This research aims to design an open circuit wind tunnel with a piv (particle image velocimetry) system. This particle image velocimetry system was chosen because this system has the advantage of being easy to make and the equipment used is not too complicated. The method used in this design is a mathematical calculation method with. This tunnel is designed to have dimensions of 8 meters long, 1.75 meters wide and 1.75 meters high. With a maximum planned wind speed of 30 m/s. The design results state that the head loss in the test section is 1.28 m, in the contraction chamber is 0.52 m and the head loss in the diffuser is 0.49 m so the total head is 2.29 m so a pump power of 11.94 hp is needed to be able to simulate a maximum wind flow of 30 m. /s

Abstract

The Gorlov turbine is a widely used hydrokinetic turbine for household-scale hydroelectric power generation, known for its superior performance compared to other turbine types. Despite its high efficiency, the Gorlov turbine has a significant drawback: it cannot operate effectively at low water speeds due to its blade design, which relies solely on lift force. This study aims to address this limitation by modifying the blade profile to harness drag force in addition to lift force. The modified blade profile retains the original crescent shape while enhancing its design. For data validation, two models were created: the conventional Gorlov turbine and a modified version. Laboratory-scale tests were conducted using a water pump to simulate flow in an artificial channel, with water speeds ranging from 0.185 m/s to 0.225 m/s. Correlation regression analysis was employed to evaluate the experimental results and strengthen the reliability of the findings. The results indicate a correlation between changes in water flow speed and increases in turbine rotation, turbine torque, torque coefficient, and power coefficient. Specifically, the conventional Gorlov turbine exhibited an average torque of 0.014 Nm, a torque coefficient of 0.0209, and a power coefficient of 0.32. In contrast, the modified Gorlov turbine demonstrated an average torque of 0.016 Nm, a torque coefficient of 0.239, and a power coefficient of 0.308.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of spoiler usage on box trucks on the coefficient of drag. A high coefficient of drag on box trucks can result in inefficient fuel consumption and higher exhaust gas emissions. Spoilers are installed on the top of the box truck to help streamline airflow and reduce air pressure above the vehicle, thereby reducing air resistance and improving vehicle performance. Although spoilers on box trucks have been used in the logistics and transportation industry, their effect on the coefficient of drag has not been extensively studied. Therefore, this research is expected to provide information to optimize vehicle performance and reduce the negative impact of vehicles on the environment.

Abstract

Turbin hidrokinetik adalah salah satu turbin air yang bekerja dengan memanfaatkan gerakan aliran air. salah satu kekurangan turbin hidrokinetik gorlov adalah kinerjanya yang buruk pada kecepatan air rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja turbin hidrokinetik gorlov dengan memodifikasi profil sudu. Dengan menerapkan metode eksperimental, penelitian ini mencakup pembuatan pemodelan turbin dengan variasi sudu yang dirancang ulang. Sudu turbin modifikasi ini dirancang dengan kurva melengkung menyerupai sabit, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam menangkap energi dari aliran fluida. Pengujian dilakukan di dalam saluran air buatan dengan variasi kecepatan aliran air. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa turbin Gorlov maupun turbin modifikasi menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rotasi per menit yang proporsional dengan kecepatan aliran air. Turbin Gorlov memiliki rentang RPM antara 30 hingga 28, sedangkan turbin modifikasi memiliki rentang antara 24 hingga 32. Turbin modifikasi secara konsisten mengungguli turbin Gorlov dalam hal nilai torsi. Meskipun rentang nilai torsi keduanya relatif kecil, turbin modifikasi mampu menghasilkan torsi yang lebih tinggi, berkisar antara 0.012361 hingga 0.020601 Nm, dibandingkan dengan turbin Gorlov yang memiliki torsi antara 0.010301 hingga 0.018541 Nm. Secara keseluruhan turbin modifikasi menunjukkan respons yang lebih dramatis terhadap perubahan kecepatan aliran air. Temuan ini menandakan potensi adaptasi yang lebih baik dari turbin modifikasi terhadap kondisi lingkungan yang bervariasi.

Abstract

Sosialisasi kesehatan merupakan kegiatan memberikan pelayanan kesehatan kepada masyarakat desa. Permasalahan di desa terletak pada proses pemberitahuan jadwal kegiatan kesehatan. Ketika ingin melakukan sosialisasi kesehatan di suatu desa, cara penyampaiannya masih sangat manual, yaitu memberi tahu setiap warga yang ada di wilayah tersebut, mendatangi rumah warga yang bersangkutan atau melakukan pengumuman melalui pengeras suara di masjid/mushola. Dengan cara penyampaian seperti ini, terdapat risiko besar terjadinya misinformasi sehingga warga yang bersangkutan tidak dapat mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi di desa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan air terjun yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu Analisa (Analisis Kebutuhan dan Definisi), Perancangan (Perancangan Sistem dan Perangkat Lunak), Coding (Implementasi dan Pengujian Unit) dan Pengujian (Integrasi dan Pengujian Sistem), yang akan menghasilkan pembuatan persyaratan Pengguna yang diperlukan oleh aplikasi. Tujuan akhir dari proyek ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem yang akan membantu perangkat desa dalam menginformasikan kepada masyarakat setempat tentang jadwal kegiatan sosialisasi kesehatan serta membantu masyarakat untuk mempelajari jadwal tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui saluran pemasaran, margin pemasaran, bagian harga yang diterima petani (produsen) serta untuk mengetahui efisiensi pemasaran jagung hibrida, di Desa Desa Kalawara Kecamatan Gumbasa Kabupaten Sigi. Penelitian ini di laksanakan pada Bulan November sampai dengan Bulan Januari 2020, tepatnya di Desa Kalawara Kecamatan Gumbasa Kabupaten Sigi. Penentuan responden dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode acak sederhana (simple random sampling ) dengan asumsi bahwa populasi bersifat homogen (sama) dalam penggunaan faktor produksi yaitu penggunaan varietas benih (Pioneer dan Hg) dan menggunakan rumus standar deviasi, dimana jumlah responden yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 responden dari 120 petani jagung hibrida. Sedangkan penentuan responden pedagang metode penjajakan (Tracing Sampling) yaitu pengambilan sampel yang didasarkan atas informasi petani, sehingga didapat responden sebanyak 3 pedagang yang terdiri dari 2 pedagang pengumpul, 1 pedagang besar sehingga jumlah keseluruhan sampel sebanyak 35 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pemasaran jagung hibrida di Desa Kalawara Kecamatan Gumbasa Kabupaten Sigi terdapat dua saluran pemasaran yaitu Produsen ’ Pedagang Pengumpul ’ Konsumen. Produsen ’ Pedagang Pengumpul ’ Pedagang Besar ’ Konsumen. Total margin pemasaran jagung hibrida yang diperoleh untuk saluran pertama sebesar Rp 500, dan untuk saluran kedua sebesar Rp 2.000. Bagian harga yang diterima petani pada saluran pertama sebesar 86,87 % dan saluran kedua sebesar 61,53 %. Saluran pertama nilai efisiensinya sebesar 14,47 % dan saluran kedua 29,23 %. Mengacu pada kedua saluran pemasaran jagung hibrida tersebut, saluran yang efisien adalah saluran pertama.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of at least 140 mmHg or diastolic pressure of at least 90 mmHg. The number of hypertension patients at the Konawe Hospital BLUD from July to December 2021 was 120 cases. Therapy with singing or music is believed to be able to relieve hypertension because it can affect tension so that a person becomes more relaxed. Objective: This study aims to study the effect of classical music therapy on blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Methods: This study was a pre-experimental study with the One Group Pre Test - Post Test Design design on 18 out of 120 populations of hypertension patients in the Konawe Hospital BLUD Internal Care Room from 22 July to 4 August 2022 which were obtained by purposive sampling. The research instrument used a stethoscope to listen to the pulse, a sphygmomanometer to check blood pressure, and a researcher's observation sheet form to record the results of the patient's blood pressure measurements. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Results: The average value of post-test blood pressure is lower than the pre-test, namely from stage 1 to the prehypertension category. The results of the analysis showed that there was an effect of giving classical music relaxation therapy on the blood pressure of hypertensive patients. Conclusion: There are differences in blood pressure before and after giving classical music relaxation therapy.
