Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know clearly about the supervision’s effect towards  the work discipline of employees of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Berau District. The analysis tools that used in this study was : Product Moment correlation coefficient, simple linear regression equation and hypothesis testing with Test t.             Based on the results of the research shown  that the simple linear regression equation on the supervision’s effect towards  the work  discipline of employees of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Berau District was Y = 7.05 + 0.76X. The value of product moment correlation coefficient was  0,9101, so r> 0 (0,9101> 0) hence there was  positive linear correlation between supervisory variable and work discipline variable. In this case the close relationship between the two variables can be interpreted as very high correlation (in the scale of 0.800-1000). The value of t arithmetic was 14.90 while the value of t table was  2.0129. So that the value of t arithmetic greater than t table (14,90> 2.0129), then the hypothesis proposed in this study accepted or proved that the supervision has a significant effect on the work discipline of employees of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of the District of Berau.

The research method used is a quantitative approach by collecting data in the form of numbers from a Likert scale questionnaire. The sample used was 80 respondents using the non-probability sampling technique using purposive sampling method. Data analysis used validity tests, reliability tests, and path analysis (Path Analysis) with the aim of knowing the direct and indirect effects of the ease of business licensing variables through the implementation of the Online Single Submission Application on increasing investment. From the results of the study that the ease of licensing tries to influence directly or indirectly through the implementation of the Online Single Submission application on increasing investment in the category that is still less effective and the results of calculating direct effect is 41,5% and indirect effect is 46,45%. Where there are two policy indicators, transparency indicators for domestic investment and Accountability for foreign investment do not have a significant direct effect and coordination indicators provide a direct and significant influence on domestic investment and foreign investment.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) There are several social capitals owned by farmer groups in supporting the development of highland peatland agricultural areas in Dolok Sanggul District. (2) Measuring the level of social capital of farmer groups on highland peatlands in Dolok Sanggul District. (3) Analyzing the relationship between social capital and the development of agricultural areas in the Upland Peatlands in Dolok Sanggul District. The research method used is the interpretation of the logistic regression model to explain the functional relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable and to define the unit of change in the dependent variable caused by the independent variable. The results of the research obtained that social capital for farmers who manage agricultural land in Dolok Sanggul District includes two interrelated categories, namely the structural category which includes social relations and solidarity, and the cognitive category which includes health, norms, trust and cooperation. Overall the average level of social capital of farmers in the peatlands of Dolok Sanggul District is 70.45% or moderate (>50-75%), where the level of social capital for social relations (75.9%), solidarity (76.1% ), and cooperation (76.5%) included in the high level of social capital (75-100%), while the level of social capital for health (74.3%), norms (64.2%) and trust (55.7%) ) is included in the moderate level of social capital (50-75%). The results of the analysis show that the relationship variable has a significant effect on increasing farmers' income on peatlands in Dolok Sanggul District. Abstract

. Deforestation activities in Indonesia are increasingly becoming a real concern. All of these actions resulted in the loss of 50% of the world's tropical forests, impacting the livelihoods of forest-dependent people. Changes in land cover are common in natural resource use areas. Land change is an important issue for planners and policymakers. One of them is the encroachment of the Holiday Resort Nature Park (HRNP) area of North Sumatra Province, which is a form of forest governance and weak law enforcement. Especially in this area, there are Sumatran elephants (Elephas maximus sumatranus), which are classified as critically endangered species. Analysis of land cover change can be used as material for formulating policies. By utilizing the Geographic Information System (GIS), it will be easier to analyze land cover and land use changes. The purpose of this study was to analyze land cover changes due to deforestation at HRNP. Spatial analysis of cover change using imagery and testing the accuracy of deforestation data, land cover satellite imagery, and verification in the field. The results showed that during the past 30 years, there has been deforestation from secondary dryland forest of 2079.3 ha to forest, namely swamp shrubs covering an area of 30.5 ha (1.5%) and non-forest covering an area of 2048.8 ha (98.6%). The highest deforestation rate occurred from 1996 to 2000 as much as 2027.3 ha (97.5%). The form of land cover due to deforestation is plantations 1990.8 ha (95.7%) and land cover forms 57.8 ha (2.8%). The conclusion shows that deforestation was triggered by weak law enforcement from the beginning until now, thus providing a more realistic opportunity for communities to encroach
