Abstract

Aim The place of ethics in undergraduate medical curricula is essential but the methods of teaching medical ethics did not show substantial changes. “Basic principles of bioethics” is the best knowledge to develop student’s reasoning analysis in medical ethics In this study, we investigate the effects of an additional small group discussion in basic principles of bioethics conventional lecture methods to cognitive achievement and retention. This study was a randomized controlled trial with parallel design. Cognitive scores of the basic principles of bioethics as a parameter was measured using basic principles of bioethics (Kaidah Dasar Bioetika, KDB) test. Both groups were attending conventional lectures, then the intervention group got an additional small group discussion.Result Conventional lectures with or without small group discussion significantly increased cognitive achievement of basic principles of bioethics (P= 0.001 and P= 0.000, respectively), and there were significant differences in cognitive achievement and retention between the 2 groups (P= 0.000 and P= 0.000, respectively).Conclusion Additional small group discussion method improved cognitive achievement and retention of basic principles of bioethics. Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh antara gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan tahun 2012 sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Temanggung . Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisa regresi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifi kan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Budaya organisasi mempunyai pengaruh positif tidak signifi kan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Motivasi kerja mempunyai pengaruh positif signifi kan terhadap kinerja pegawai di Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Temanggung. Kontribusi perubahan kinerja pegawai (Y) yang disebabkan oleh gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi kerja sebesar 58,80% dan 41,20% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar model atau selain variabel gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi kerja di Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Temanggung. Selanjutnya, variabel gaya kepemimpinan(X1), Variabel budaya organisasi (X2) dan variabel motivasi kerja (X3) secara bersama-sama mempunyai pengaruh yang signifi kan terhadap besarnya kinerja pegawai (Y) di Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Temanggung.

Abstract

perempuan dalam masa kehamilan. Risiko penularan HIV/AIDS pada ibu yang tidak mendapatkan penanganan saat hamil diperkirakan terjadi sekitar 15-45%. Pemerintah telah melakukan upaya untuk mencegah transmisi vertikal dengan melakukan Program PMTCT dimana salah satu komponennya adalah melakukan screening HIV/AIDS pada ibu hamil. Namun pelayanan PMTCT di wilayah Kretek masih terhitung 54 %. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku ibu hamil untuk melakukan screening HIV/AIDS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian Cross Sectional . Besar sampel adalah 50 orang. Analisa data secara univariat, bivariat dengan Chi-Square dan multivariate dengan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden 27 orang (54%) sudah melakukan screening HIV/AIDS. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku ibu hamil untuk melakukan screening HIV/AIDS adalah pekerjaan nilai p = 0,003 (OR= 9,278;95%CI=2,098-41,041), keterjangkauan tempat nilai p = 0,042 (OR=5,061;95%CI=1,063-24,103) dan dukungan suami nilai p = 0,155 (OR =2,788;95%CI=0,678- 11,462). Faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi perilaku ibu hamil untuk melakukan screening HIV/AIDS adalah pekerjaan dengan nilai sig. 0,003 dan Exp (B) sebesar 9,278. Bagi tenaga kesehatan diharapkan dapat memberikan pendidikan kesehatan mengenai risiko penularan HIV/AIDS dari ibu hamil ke bayinya dengan melibatkan suami sehingga ibu dan suami akan menyadari pentingnya screening serta dapat membuat alternatif untuk memudahkan ibu hamil dalam mengaksesnya yaitu dengan PMTCT mobile.

Abstract

Background: Headache in the occipital region is the most common symptom of hypertension, caused by enhanchement intra-cranial pressure and vasoconstriction resulting in decreased perfusion of cerebral tissue. This causes insomnia, decreased concentration and decreased ability of daily living activity. Autogenic relaxation causes vasodilation and a calm emotional response that increases the response of the parasympathetic system. This modulation stimulus can decrease perception of headache. Objective: The aims of this study was to find out how the reduction of headache on hypertension before and after autogenic relaxation. Methods: The design of this research was pre experimental with one group pretest-postest design approach. The sample are 38 patients with hypertension who complained of headache in Mersi Purwokerto. Selection has been using purposive sampling. Measurement of head pain using visual analog scale. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test. Results: The mean headache before the autogenic relaxation technique was 5.24, and the mean headache after autogenic relaxation technique was 3.47, including the range of moderate pain. There was a significant difference between headache before and after the autogenic relaxation technique with p value: 0,000. Conclusion: Autogenic relaxation can be used by the elderly with hypertension to reduce headache. Keywords: autogenic relaxation, headache, hypertension.

Abstract

This study purpose is to analyze esthetic characters on Durga illustration with simple discharge screen printing technique. As many people know, Durga visualization is more identically spooky impression. Durga illustration used as reference or as an object on simple discharge screen printing technique, which is a type of screen print that removes the basic color of the fabric with chlorine material as a mixture of ink, produce a distinctive color effect and different from the usual screen printing techniques. This study will focus on the form balance and aesthetic characteristics or properties such as complexity, it becomes interesting to study. Furthermore in this writing using qualitative descriptive method in order to get a systematic, factual, and accurate overview of aesthetics through the balance form of Durga illustration with a simple discharge screening technique.

Abstract

Elderly stress is caused by physically, biologically, psychologically, and socially change. Beside of them, it is also affected by the condition of elders circumstance who lived in parlor. One of the ways to overcome the stress by non-pharmcologically is with Benson relaxation technique which is able to balance O2 in the brain. This research aims to know the influence of Benson relaxation technique to reduce stress level on elderly in Social rehabilitation Unit Wening Wardoyo Ungaran.The research design is quasi experimental design. The number of population in this research is 90 elders.While, the quantity of research sample is 30 respondents which are divided into 2 groups. Datas of elder’s stress level were collected by the usage of Depression Anxiety Stress Scale questionnaire. The  univariate analysis was executed by monitoring the distribution of stress level frequencyat before and after the treatment and bivariate analysis was executed by the usage of paired t-test and unpaired t-test. The result shows that before Benson relaxation technique is applied towards intervened group, it is obtained that the average of respondents stress level is 22,93 (mid-level) SD (3,353). After Benson relaxation technique was applied, it is obtained that the average of respondents stress level was reducing at 18,33 (low-stress) SD (2,820). Benson relaxation technique shows significantly influence to reducestress level at p-value of 0,002 (p < 0,05). Based on the result, the technique can be applied as the stress treatment on elders in Social Rehabilitation Unit Wening Wardoyo Ungaran

Abstract

This research analyzed positioning and brand awareness on decision to purchase Blackberry handphone. The research done in 2013 using 100 students of economic faculties, UGM. The analytical method used was multiple regression. The results showed that a significant differences between positioning with purchasing decisions as indicated by the significance value below 0.005 and brand awareness with purchasing decisions have significance value below 0.000. This suggests that the higher positioning and brand awareness will be increased purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction on employee performance at Puskesmas Kalibawang, Kulon Progo. This research is a causal associative with quantitative approach. The data obtained by primary data using questionnaire method. Hypothesis testing in this reasearch are multiple linear regression analysis, F-test and T-test used to examined research model and determine the effect of independent variables to the dependent variable. The results showed a positive and significant effect of transformational leadership, organizationalcommitment, and job satisfaction on employee performance (sig. 0,000 &lt; 0.05). T-test showed no effect of transformational leadership on employee performance (sig. 0,844 &gt; 0,05). Organizational commitment has positive and significant effect on employee performance (sig. 0,011 &lt; 0,05) and job satisfaction also havepositive and significant effect to employee performance (sig. 0,032 &lt; 0,05).

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) cannot be separated from entrepreneur and entrepreneurial terms. Many factors influence of SMEs development, both internally and externally. This study tends to observe from internal side, where a factor of entrepreneurship orientation and entrepreneurial competence has had an important role. Dimensions of entrepreneurship orientation are: need for achievement, internal locus of control, self reliance and extroversion. Entrepreneurship orientation is basis that should be owned by every entrepreneur to run their business and the other hand created the competitiveness of SMEs. The need for adequate competence in running a business is considered an urgent thing started, because by having sufficient competence expected of entrepreneurs able to compete both locally and globally. Dimensions competencies are: task/skill, task management skills, contingency management skills, job role environment skills, and transfer skills. By growing and advancement of the business activities of SMEs is an interesting topic to be researched, each of effort is required to have a distinctive competitiveness and unique. To determine competitiveness dimensions includes: valuable resource, rare, difficult to imitate and non-substitutable. The results showed that the entrepreneurship orientation (with a significance value of 0.005) and entrepreneurial competencies (with a significance value of 0.000) have an influence on competitiveness. By knowing the extent of the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial competence on the competitiveness of SMEs in DIY, it is expected to help the government, private sector and academicians in facilitating and supporting the development of SMEs in DIY.Keywords: Entrepreneurship Orientation, Entrepreneurial Competence, Competitiveness, SMEs.
