Abstract

Sequence alignment is a method of arranging sequences of DNA, RNA, or protein to identify similar regions between the sequences. Profile HMM is a type of HMM that can be used to construct family structure of multiple sequence alignment so that it can be used as a database for aligning or finding other sequences in that family. Literature review used as a method in this paper. Softwares BioEdit and HMMER are introduced.

Abstract

Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field of computer science, mathematics, statistics in solving biology-related problems. The invented DNA makes this field grow faster as scientists created database and tools to analyze it. In this article, author introduces definition of bioinformatics along with its applications as well as the development of bioinformatics in Indonesia. Literature survey is used as a research method.

Abstract

Knowledge management (KM) has been known as important field in managing tacit and explicit knowledge in organization. The challenges that have been faced by KM such as information overload, inefficient keyword searching, etc need to be tackled by using semantic web technology. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the integration of KM and semantic web, which is so- called “semantic knowledge management” could be used to bridge the shifting from current Web 2.0 to future Web 3.0. Literature review is used as a research method in this paper. The research is limited to explicit knowledge being processed by machine.

Abstract

This paper examine aneffect of the financial performance of post-merger and acquisition. The financial performance is measured by using ratios, such as return on net worth, return on assets, current ratio, quick ratio, and debt to equity ratio.The samples are firms which did merger and acquisition activity during the years 2003-2011 and that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data which used in this research is the annual financial report three years before and three years after the mergers and acquisitions by using purposive sampling method. Analysis of the data used to test the hypothesis using paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate merger firms are having decline performance, debt to equity ratio show significant decline, and other ratios also got decline, though not significant. On the other side, return on net worth and return on assets has significant decline after acquisition, except for current ratio which have insignificant decline after acquisition. Quick ratio and debt to equity ratio has insignificant improvements after acquisition.

Abstract

This survey aims to determine the effectiveness of educational supervision in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The survey was conducted in two different locations/districts, namely in Central Lombok and East Lombok, involving 250 educators who were chosen randomly. The focus of the survey consists of three important aspects in educational supervision, namely the existence of supervision in schools, the level of attendance of supervisors and the usefulness of directions given by supervisors to educators and education staffs. The survey results concluded that supervision at schools was carried out internally and externally with varying levels of supervisor attendance to provide direction to educators and education staffs. The frequency of attendance of the internal supervisor (Principal) is considered more intense (71%) than other supervisors. Likewise, the directions given are considered more useful by 85% of respondents than the directions given by other supervisors. To maximize this, supervisors are expected to be able to work even more optimally and be able to provide constructive and relevant directions to the existing situation and conditions.

Abstract

This community empowerment activity was carried out in Sebewe Village, North Moyo District, Sumbawa Regency. Based on the results of community service activities with the theme "Training Assistance for Google Bisnisku and Sahabat UMKM to Improve Marketing in the Digital Era for Small and Medium Business Actors in Sebewe Village, North Moyo District" that have been carried out, it can be concluded as follows: 1) Participants already have additional marketing information through online media and how to use it to market the products of small and medium businesses in Sebewe Village through Google Bisnisku and Sahabat UMKM. 2) The participants of small and medium businesses get a management technique method for marketing products through online media. Abstract

This community empowerment activity was carried out in Sebewe Village, North Moyo District, Sumbawa Regency. Based on the results of community service activities with the theme "Education on the introduction of contracts in sharia transactions and the introduction of online sharia financing to strengthen business capital for small and medium business actors in Sebewe Village, North Moyo District, Sumbawa Regency" which has been carried out, it can be concluded as follows: 1). The participants already have additional information about sharia-based online loan institutions that are recognized by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority. 2) The participants of small and medium businesses get information about the types of contracts in sharia transactions as well as accurate tricks to qualify for loans in sharia banking. 3) Small and medium enterprises in Sebewe Village know how to do simple bookkeeping.

Abstract

Dalam era ekonomi berbasis pengetahuan (knowledge-based economy), pengetahuan merupakan senjata utama dalam menghadapi persaingan bisnis yang kompetitif. Berbagi Pengetahuan (BP) adalah salah satu proses dari manajemen pengetahuan yang menjamin agar pengetahuan tetap bisa tersimpan dan digunakan kembali di dalam organisasi. Artikel ini mengulas sejumlah penelitian tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi BP. Penulis menyimpulkan ada tiga faktor utama yang mempengaruhi terjadinya BP yakni faktor individu (efikasi diri, kesenangan membantu orang lain, penghargaan, kepercayaan dan keahlian berkomunikasi), faktor organisasi (iklim organisasi dan budaya organisasi) dan faktor sosial (saling timbal balik dan kolaborasi tim).

Abstract

Abstrak: Tolok ukur kemampuan pendidik salah satunya adalah dapat membuat dan menggunakan berbagai media pembelajaran untuk memudahkan peserta didik memahami materi pelajaran. Pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pendidik dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia berbantuan aplikasi Canva for Education. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan selama tiga kali pertemuan, melibatkan 25 orang pendidik Sekolah Dasar, dan bekerjasama dengan Guru Penggerak. Hasilnya, seluruh peserta berhasil membuat media pembelajaran berupa mind maps, 76% berhasil membuat bahan presentasi, dan 72% berhasil membuat video pembelajaran. Agar kemampuan menjadi lebih maksimal disarankan agar pendidik terus berlatih secara mandiri menggunakan Canva for Education atau aplikasi lainnya, dan meneruskan kemampuan yang telah diperoleh kepada pendidik lainnya.Abstract:  One of the benchmarks for the ability of educators is to be able to create and use various learning media to make it easier for students to understand the subject matter. Community service aims to improve the ability of educators to create multimedia-based learning media with the help of the Canva for Education application. The activity was carried out in the form of training for three meetings, involving 25 elementary school educators, and working with the Mobilization Teacher. As a result, all participants succeeded in making learning media in the form of mind maps, 76% succeeded in making presentation materials, and 72% succeeded in making learning videos. To maximize abilities, it is recommended that educators continue to practice independently using Canva for Education or other applications, and pass on the skills they have acquired to other educators.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemampuan literasi murid tingkat sekolah dasar di Indonesia membutuhkan perhatian serius, diperlukan berbagai upaya agar dapat menjadi lebih baik melalui jalur pendidikan formal, informal, dan nonformal. Menyadari hal itu, dilakukan pengabdian yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi 34 orang murid di TPA/TPQ Nurul Ittihad Desa Perina melalui pendampingan implementasi pendekatan TaRL. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, melibatkan 3 orang pengurus TPA dan 8 orang tutor sebaya. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa 85% (dari 34 orang) murid di TPA/TPQ Nurul Ittihad mengalami peningkatan kemampuan literasi yang cukup baik. Artinya, pendekatan TaRL efektif dimanfaatkan untuk mendukung upaya peningkatan kemampuan literasi. Untuk memaksimalkan capaian ini, disarankan agar pengurus dapat terus melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis TaRL, tidak hanya untuk pelajaran berbahasa Indonesia tetapi juga pelajaran yang berbahasa Arab, Inggris, dan lainnya.Abstract: The literacy ability of elementary school students in Indonesia requires serious attention, various efforts are needed to be better through formal, informal, and non-formal education channels. Realizing this, a service was carried out aimed at improving the literacy skills of 34 students at TPA/TPQ Nurul Ittihad Perina Village through assistance in the implementation of the TaRL approach. The activity was carried out in three stages, involving 3 TPA administrators and 8 peer tutors. The results of the service showed that 85% (out of 34 people) of students at TPA/TPQ Nurul Ittihad experienced a fairly good increase in literacy skills. This means that the TaRL approach is effectively used to support efforts to improve literacy skills. To maximize this achievement, it is recommended that the board can continue to carry out TaRL-based learning, not only for Indonesian lessons but also lessons in Arabic, English, and others.
