Abstract

User resistance is users’ opposition to system implementation. Resistance often occurs as a result of a mismatch between management goals and employee preferences. There are two types of resistance to health iformation system namely active resistance and passive resistance. The manifestation of active resistance are being critical,  blaming/accusing, blocking, fault finding, sabotaging, undermining, ridiculing, intimidating/threatening, starting rumors, appealing to fear, manipulating arguing, using facts selectively, distorting facts and  raising objections. The manifestation of passive resistance are agreeing verbally but not following through, failing to implement change, procrastinating/dragging feet, feigning ignorance, withholding information, suggestions, help or support, and standing by and allowing the change to fail.

Abstract

HIV / AIDS is a chronic disease that has gained stigma and discrimination. Various attempts had been made by the government to reduce this stigma and discrimination. This paper identified the critical components of interventions with the aim to decrease stigma and discrimination of PLWHA. This integrative literature review was conducted in the databases PubMed and Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), from January 1, 2007, to December 31, 2017. Finally, 6 studies were found in CINAHL and 2 studies from PubMed. Results revealed that the most interventions were creating a program with a specific designation that aimed to change behavior. Interventions were developed base on diffusion and innovation theory, social cognitive theory, socioeconomic and community theory. Sample articles provided information the positive results, such as 1) decreasing of stigma toward PLWHA from community member, community leader, health worker, community to the family with PLWHA, also from family to PLWHA, 2) improving PLWHA self-esteem, 3) decreasing uncertainty about HIV treatment among PLWHA, 4) increasing institutional support in the hospital, and 5) increasing of HIV knowledge. For further needed programs involving multiple levels of respondents/participants (PLWHA, community, government, organization, health worker, social worker) in one moment and implemented at least 1 year, by combining behavior change techniques through education, social marketing, and community/group organizational development. Abstract

Children must get serious attention in early of their life such as good nutrition, appropriate stimulation, good environment factors, early detection and intervention of development delays. The development is the increasing of the skill in structure and function of body in more complex and in regular pattern and predictable, as result of maturation process. The research’s purpose is to know the influence of stimulation to child’s development after DDTKA massal in Blitar city. The research type is quasy experiment, and the sample is children that have hesitate and delay developments after DDTKA massal in Blitar city, with inclution criteria: has normal growth, visit to posyandu regularly in the latest 3 mounts and have good health, there are 20 children. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The independent variable is stimulation of development, and the dependent variable is development of child. Data is collected using observation sheet and questioner of KPSP. The analysis use wilcoxson signed ranks test, statistic test with sensing level p < 0,05. We can get result as follows: 1) development of child before giving stimulation is 70% hesitate, 30% have delay, after stimulation is normal (65%), 25% hesitate and 10% have delay; 2) there is influence of stimulation to child development (p-value 0,000). We can conclude that the care pattern to child in their family to achieve optimal developments is important.

Abstract

Stigma and discrimination remain significant obstacles in the management of HIV / AIDS prevention programs. The data shows there are stigma and discrimination within the health service, treatment is not going well. PLWHA tends to be ashamed and afraid to control or get medicine in the hospital, injustice to the provision of services, thus, low quality of care, and lack of respect for patients. The purpose of this study was to reduce the stigma and discrimination of HIV / AIDS patients in the community, through community empowerment programs. Long-term benefits were finding the right design to reduce stigma and discrimination toward HIV / AIDS patients, through community empowerment by integrating the concepts of social support, social networks, and social marketing. One group pretest-posttest design was used in this research. Seventy-five respondents were taken purposively. The intervention was "Optimizing Program of WPA's Role in reducing stigma and discrimination toward HIV AIDS patients in the community". The results showed that before and after the intervention, the average of community members did not have a negative attitude, did not perceived discrimination, and supported the equity. However, there were still hesitant and had a negative attitude within several community members to HIV / AIDS patient and the numbers decreased after the intervention. Based on the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, there were significant differences in negative attitudes, perceived discrimination, and support for equity before and after intervention with significance levels respectively p = 0.049, p = 0.006, and p = 0.000. Intensive coordination and evaluation of activities are needed to ensure the sustainability of the WPA Optimization program. Keywords: WPA optimization program; stigma; discrimination; HIV / AIDS

Abstract

Early marriage can cause several negative impacts, including vulnerability to incidents of domestic violence, an increased risk of dying during pregnancy and childbirth, and cutting off opportunities to continue education. By looking at some of the negative impacts as described above, prevention of early marriage is a very important effort in order to improve the reproductive health of the nation's future generations. That is why efforts to reduce the rate of early marriage are one of the main programs in the Department of Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection in Blitar Regency, Indonesia. In order to participate in increasing the achievement of the aforementioned program, it is necessary to conduct a study to describe the achievement of the program to reduce the early marriage rate in Blitar Regency, so that in turn a recommendation can be proposed for improving strategies so that a reduction in the rate of early marriage in Blitar Regency can be realized in next year. This study is a descriptive study that aims to describe the achievement of the “Population, Family Planning and Family Development” program of the Department of Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection of Blitar Regency, in 2018, especially efforts to reduce the rate of early marriage. This study was conducted during November 2018 in the working area of the Department of Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection in Blitar Regency. The variable in this study is the age of marriage. Data was collected through a documentation study of secondary data in the form of raw data that is already available at the Department of Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection of Blitar Regency. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods, which consisted of the proportion of incidence of early marriage according to month-based time, prediction of the proportion of incidence of early marriage in the future (month-based), and the proportion of early marriage incidence according to sub-district-based clusters. The results showed that: 1) the proportion of the incidence of early marriage from month to month was not much different, with irregular fluctuations, 2) based on the proportion of early marriages per month, a trend line was drawn in the form of a polynomial equation, namely: y = 0.0011x2 - 0.0123x + 0.1357, 3) the average incidence of early marriage was 11.01, the sub-districts that had a high proportion of early marriage were Udanawu, Srengat, Kademangan, Bakung, Kanigoro, Garum, Sutojayan, Wlingi and Selopuro Districts. Furthermore, it was concluded that early marriage in Blitar Regency has an increasing trend, with a striking difference between sub-districts with the highest and lowest incidence of early marriage.
