Abstract

Arabic learning is positively associated with the growth of Islamic studies. The better comprehension and mastery of Arabic, the faster and the greater the standard of Islamic studies would be. It can also be considered an effort to avoid any misconceptions or misinterpretations in understanding Islam's primary sources (Quran and Hadits) written in Arabic. Therefore, there is a need for more in-depth and continuous study to develop effective Arabic language learning, especially in a modern context. This paper aims to examine some of the previous discussions and research on reforming Arabic language learning to develop Islamic studies in a modern context. Arabic learners today are different from learners in the past who focus more on routine activities by relying on written sources. In this modern era, learners have complete access and freedom to determine the direction of learning they want and need for themselves. Moreover, the main priority in improving Arabic learning quality is by optimizing modern media and technology. Therefore, Arabic language experts need to partner and synergize with competent human resources to develop modern Arabic education and learning technology to produce a better education system in Arabic Learning and support Islamic Studies' development.

Abstract

Diversity and differences in ethnicity, culture and religion, apart from being the heritage of the Indonesian nation, also have an impact on the emergence of conflicts and criminal acts. However, in several areas, including in East Lampung, there has cc/ been a decrease in crime in the last four years, which is believed to be influenced by the role of Islamic religious counselor. This study aims to examine the educative and consultative role of Islamic religious counselor in crime-prone area for community harmony in East Lampung. This study used a qualitative method using a case study design. The research participants are all of islamic counselors who worked in Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in several areas prone to criminal in the East Lampung such as Jabung, Labuhan Maringgai, and Gunung Pelindung. These areas were chosen pusposively based on the highest crime rate areas in East Lampung. Research results show  that participation Islamic religion counselor can effectively improve the character of society, especially the mother and the father in a family with optimizing various religious activities so that potential criminal action will be minimized. Islamic counselors are found to have a better approach  in educating the society rather than teacher, and able to give in-dept counceling than general counselor because they basically understand more on the ciscumstances and condition in those societies.  In addition, the collaboration and synergy between islamic counselor, the government, and the community can optimize any effort to create a harmonious, safe, and prosperous society.

Abstract

The current environmental issues are part of a global crisis that often becomes a concern of discussion in the world stage. Various approaches have been taken to resolve the crisis, but the results are still debatable. One of the most ideal approaches is to use an Islamic education approach. This research aims to examine the existence of environmental education in Islamic education. This research is a literature research with documentation methods and use content analysis for its analytical techniques. The results of research shows that Islamic education can be used as a means to realize the values of environmental education, because there is a close relationship between environmental education and Islamic education, such as from the material, methods and goals aspects that ultimately achieve the goal of forming awareness of each individual to the environment issues.

Abstract

HOTS atau Higher-Order Thinking Skills (keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi) memainkan peranan penting dalam meningkat kemampuan berpikir siswa. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesesuaian antara instruksi tugas yang termuat dalam buku ajar Bahasa Arab MA kelas X yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Agama dengan indikator HOTS. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mendeskripsikan isi HOTS pada instruksi tugas dalam buku ajar dan menggunakan teknik membaca dan kutipan untuk memperoleh data. Selanjutnya, peneliti menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk menghitung proporsi pengajaran berdasarkan Revised Bloom Taxonomy yang dikembangkan oleh Anderson dan Krathwohl, yaitu menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta. Para peneliti menemukan bahwa buku teks berisi 78 instruksi tugas. Terdapat 32 instruksi yang mewakili kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Instruksi mencipta mendominasi kategori keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan 24 instruksi (31%). Kategori keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang paling dominan kedua adalah menganalisis dengan enam instruksi (8%). Terakhir, kategori keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi ketiga adalah mengevaluasi dengan dua instruksi (3%).

Abstract

Abstrak: Pendidikan Islam pada masa new normal membutuhkan penyesuaian secara besar-besaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat tanpa menghilangi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam serta nilai kearifan lokal yang menjadi ciri khas pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Selain itu, karakteristik dari keramahan serta kemoderatan dari kehidupan sosial bermasyarakat harus tetap diinternalisasikan dalam pendidikan Islam sehingga nilai-nilai toleransi harmonisasi dan pluralisme dapat dioptimalkan. Oleh karena itu, Pendidikan di masa pandemi juga harus tetap diarahkan untuk menciptakan suatu sistem pendidikan Islam yang tetap komprehensif namun fleksibel dan demokratis untuk menghadapi berbagai permasalahan kehidupan bermasyarakat serta didukung dengan kemampuan dan keahlian teknologi sehingga dapat memungkinkan untuk mengoptimalisasikan pengembangan potensi peserta didik secara lebih alami dengan tidak keluar dari ajaran dan syariat Islam. Kemampuan sosial serta sikap penerimaan dengan berbagai perbedaan yang ada di masyarakat perlu menjadi titik tekan dan fokus pembelajaran agar sikap beragama yang toleran dapat dimiliki oleh seluruh peserta didik pada lembaga Islam.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam saat ini hanya fokus mencerdaskan aspek akademis dan keterampilan semata, tanpa memperhatikan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Hal ini menimbulkan adanya dehumanisasi (penghilang harkat manusia). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji rekonstruksi Pendidikan Islam humanis perspektif A.Malik Fadjar dan Abdurahman Mas’ud. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Library Research atau Penelitian Kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Pendidikan Islam dibangun atas misi kemanusiaan tersebut dengan memanusiakan manusia (humanisasi). Dengan itu, pendidikan sangat dekat dengan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Pemikiran mengenai pendidikan yang memanusiakan manusia itu lah yang disebut dengan konsep pendidikan humanis. Konsep pendidikan humanis A. Malik fajar berpijak pada tauhid integral. Sedangkan konsep humanisme religius Abdurahman Mas’ud berpijak pada integrasi pilar keagamaan dan pilar kemanusiaan, Pendidikan islam humanis diharapkan dapat mengembalikan Pendidikan Islam pada jiwa asalnya.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menimbulkan dampak pada seluruh aspek kehidupan masyarakat, peningkatan kasus pasien terkonfirmasi Covid-19 menimbulkan trauma psikologis, stigma negatif, rasa ketakutan berlebihan pada sebagian masyarakat yang menjadi salah satu faktor terjadinya penurunan akhlak di masyarakat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam peran Kiyai dalam membina akhlak masyarakat pada masa pandemi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode dokumentasi dan menggunakan teknik analisa content analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kiyai adalah tokoh penting di masyarakat, karena Kyai pemimpin spiritual juga tokoh sentral di masyarakat. Kyai menjadi teladan dalam berbuat baik yang kemudian dijadikan contoh oleh masyarakat, Maka jelas Kyai memiliki peran utama dalam membina akhlak di masyarakat. Peran Kyai dalam membina akhlak di masyarakat antara lain: a) Kyai sebagai tokoh agama, b) Kiyai sebagai central figure di masyarakat, d) Kyai sebagai guru ngaji, e) Sebagai Rois atau Imam, f) Sebagai Pegawai Pemerintah atau Jabatan Formal. Dengan berbagai peran tersebut maka Kiyai dapat mendukung terwujudnya masyarakat yang berakhlakul karimah yang peduli terhadap sesama di tengah musibah pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMultikulturalisme merupakan pengakuan terhadap keragaman yang ada dalam masyarakat. Indonesia merupakan negara yang multi kultur, multi etnis, juga multi agama. Meskipun demikian seakan masyarakat Indonesia kurang kesadaran dan kemampuan dalam mengelola keragaman dengan baik. Sehingga konflik dengan latarbelakang perbedaan tersebut banyak terjadi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengkaji konsep dasar pendidikan multiktural dengan analisis historis pada masa dinasti Abbasiyah dan mengkaji model pendidikan Islam multikultural pada masa Abbasiyah yang dapat diteladani dan diimplementasikan pada masa sekarang. Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep pendidikan Islam multikultural pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah, yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif berbentuk studi pustaka dengan teknik content analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multikulturalisme pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah mulai berkembang karena khalifahnya memiliki keterbukaan akan keragaman, khususnya pada masa Harun al-Rasyid dan puncaknya pada masa al-Ma’mun. Penerapan pendidikan Islam multikultural pada lembaga Bayt al-Hikmah bersifat eksternal dan umum sedangkan di luar Bayt al-Hikmah bersifat internal dan khusus. Selanjutnya kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, multikulturalisme pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah mulai berkembang, hal ini karena keterbukaan khalifah dalam menerima kebudayaan di luar Arab juga peran dari masyarakatnya. Selanjutnya pendidikan Islam multikultural masa dinasti Abbasiyah meliputi aspek kelembagaan, pendidik dan metode terbukti berhasil menanamkan nilai-nilai multikultural dan membawa Islam pada puncak kejayaan. ABSTRACTMulticulturalism can be considered an acknowledgment of the diversity that exists in society. Indonesia is a multicultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious country. Even so, it seems that the Indonesian people lack proper awareness and ability to manage this diversity as some conflicts from these differences still occur. This study aims to examine the basic concepts of multicultural education with historical analysis during the Abbasid dynasty and the model of multicultural Islamic education during the Abbasid period that can be imitated and implemented today. This study examines the concept of multiculturalism in Islamic education during the Abbasid dynasty, which was carried out using a descriptive approach in the form of literature studies and content analysis techniques. Multiculturalism during the Abbasid dynasty began to develop because the Khalifah was open to diversity, especially during the era of Harun al-Rasyid and at its peak during the era of al-Ma'mun. The application of multiculturalism in Islamic education at the Bayt al-Hikmah institution was external and general, while multiculturalism education outside Bayt al-Hikmah was internal and more specific. Furthermore, the conclusion of this study shows that multiculturalism during the Abbasid dynasty began to develop because of the caliph's openness in accepting cultures outside of Arabia and the role of the community. Furthermore, multicultural Islamic education during the Abbasid dynasty includes aspects of institutions, educators, and methods that have proven successful in instilling multicultural values and bringing Islam to its peak of glory.

Abstract

Education in the period of industrial revolution faces various issues, including the student’s ethical issues as the transformation of learning becomes digital-based implementation. Therefore, it is necessary to reassess the basic foundations of the Islamic view of the student’s ethics, especially concerning about studying Qur'an. This study aims to examine and re-conceptualize the ethics of students in studying the Qur'an in the industrial revolution of 4.0. This research is a library research with documentation as the main data collection technique. The data analysis method used in this research is content analysis. The results of this study reveal that the ethics of students in traditional concepts include efforts to purify the soul from bad intentions and despicable traits, be kind to other students, be persistent or high-spirited in seeking knowledge, choose good teachers and respect their expertise, and be consistent in Qur’an memorization. These ethics are very relevant when being implemented for studying the Qur'an in the 4.0 era. However, such ethical concepts need to be developed according to current needs and conditions by strengthening commitment, implementing communication ethics, digital literacy and respects in using digital Qur'an applications in reading and memorizing the Qur'an. By integrating the concept of traditional ethics with modern ethics in the learning process, it is expected to provide more optimal and effective results in studying the Qur'an in the 4.0 era.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) basically has four important components, such as the ease of creating new study programs, changes to the accreditation system, the ease of becoming Perguruan Tinggi Badan Hukum (PTN-BH) or a Legal Higher Education, and providing students with the right to study outside the campus within eight learning programs. This transformative and innovative policy in fact has some problems and challenges that hinder the implementation of MBKM. Therefore, this study aims to examine the challenges and prospects of MBKM policies. This research is a library research with analytical techniques using content analysis and library sources related to the research problems. The results show that the challenges of MBKM are that the MBKM policy has not been fully accepted, the lack of socialization of the credit score assessment mechanism (SKS) with relevant courses, renewal of the LMS and internship mechanism, collaboration between agencies, and PTN-BH problems. Therefore, MBKM will be able to be implemented effectively and comprehensively if various parties are highly committed to do their best, including educational institutions, lecturers, students, as well as the Government that work together to support the implementation of various programs in MBKM to create better human resources and characteristics.
