Abstract

This article describes an analysis result to Nurcholish Madjid’s thinking about the importance of religion education in the family toward age basic child. This research is liberary research. Data is obtained from the various literature as book and journal. Data is analyzed by content analysis technique which analyzes various sources and conclusions concerning religion education in the family toward age basic child perspective of Nurcholish Madjid. According to Nurcholish Madjid, religion education in the family to basic age child includes two dimensions which the first is divinity dimension including to faith, Islam, virtue, piety, sincere and resignation, gratitude, and patient. The second is and humanity dimension including to friendship, fraternity (ukhuwah), equality (al-musawwah), fair, positive thinking (husn-u’zh-zhann), humble (tawaddu), commitment (al-wafa), cordiality (insyirah), mandate (al-amanah, “amanah”), brave (iffah atau ta’affut), thrifty (qawamiyah), dan generous (al-munfiqun, doing infaq). A right action of parent which teach those good values by model and practice continually as pray, fast, alms, discipline of time, and independent, will be internalized into child’s self and make the child aware to actualize those values on the daily life since basic age.

Abstract

An interesting phenomenon was discovered by researchers when conducting preresearch at SMA Negeri 1 Way Tenong, namely the Duha prayer by students in theschool prayer room even. though at that time the school was under renovation andlearning was divided into two sessions. They follow different extracurriculars. Inaddition, there is no school program that regulates the Duha prayer. As a school with ageneral education type, this phenomenon has attracted the attention of researchers. Thefacts on the ground strongly indicate that the PAI teacher is behind the scenes of theDhuha prayer of students. The type of research in this research is descriptive qualitativefield. This research uses a purposive sampling technique to determine informants. Datacollection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. To test thevalidity of the data, researchers used source, technique, and time triangulation. Theresults showed that PAI teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Way Tenong played a role asorganizers, motivators, and facilitators in the implementation of Dhuha prayers for theirstudents.

Abstract

This study investigated publication and citation trends related to Islamic Religious Education learning technology and media from 2009 to 2024. The analysis showed an increase in the number of publications in 2020 and 2023, reflecting the high interest in this topic. It was found that research related to Islamic Education learning technology and media responds to the challenges of globalization and the development of information technology, with a focus on improving learning effectiveness and the integration of religious values in modern education. The research also highlighted active international cooperation, especially between Indonesia and Malaysia, in developing meaningful contributions in this domain. The network visualization analysis showed three main focuses of the research: teaching, student learning, and e-learning; the application of technology in Islamic Religious Education; and the integration of technology and multimedia in religious learning. Finally, the overlay visualization showed a trend towards new and innovative research, highlighting the importance of continuing to develop learning approaches that are responsive to the times. This research provides valuable insights into how technology can enrich Islamic religious learning and point new directions in the development of effective learning methods.Keyword : Islamic Religious Education, Technology, Learning Media

Abstract

Islamic religious education faces various challenges that develop along with the times and social changes. Globalization, technology, politicization of religion, multiculturalism, and exclusivism are some of the main factors influencing the dynamics of Islamic religious education today. This research aims to discover the challenges and opportunities of Islamic religious education in a secular environment. The methodology used in this research is a literature study. The research results show that Islamic religious education in a secular environment faces complex challenges such as globalization, technology, multiculturalism, and religious exclusivism. Globalization brings secular values that conflict with Islamic religious teachings, while multiculturalism demands interfaith tolerance. Changes in the educational paradigm also require Islamic religious education to adapt to more holistic learning. However, opportunities, such as interfaith collaboration and the use of technology in learning, can be exploited. With a holistic and adaptive approach, Islamic religious education can strengthen Islamic identity, improve teacher quality, utilize technology, involve parents and the community, and realize comprehensive learning. This will help Islamic religious education become an important instrument in shaping student character, building interfaith harmony, and facing various challenges in modern life.Keyword : Islamic Religious Education; Multiculturalism; Secularism; Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract

Students' critical thinking has been a significant concern within education development efforts, and this needs to be addressed and promoted by teachers. However, most teachers barely promote this skill, especially related to Islamic education, which leads to more challenges for students in learning Islam. Therefore, encouraging innovation and strategies to develop students' critical thinking in learning Islam is necessary. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the neuroscientific approach and how it can develop students' critical thinking skills. This research used a Quasi-Experimental method with a pretest-posttest design. Eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Talangpadang Tanggamus were the population of this research. Only two classes, Class VIII.1 (experimental class) and Class VIII.3 (control class) were used as the research sample chosen using simple random sampling. The result of the research showed that the neuroscientific approach has a significant influence on improving students' critical thinking skills. However, the degree of the influence was varied across the data. Moreover, this research also showed that the implementation of the neuroscientific approach in learning should be explored and expanded to promote students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of the Wahdah and Sima’i methods in enhancing the ability to memorize the Qur'an, as well as to examine the differences in effectiveness between these two methods. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study consists of eighth-grade students who use the Wahdah method, Sima’i method, and conventional methods. "The Wahdah method is a memorization technique where the verses to be memorized are learned one by one. The Wahdah method is a memorization approach in which the verses to be committed to memory are studied individually, one at a time. The sample for the study includes eighth-grade students who are willing to complete the distributed questionnaire. The sampling technique used in this study is a probability sampling technique with the type of simple random sampling, which involves randomly selecting samples from class H, where the researcher selects two classes consisting of an experimental class and a control class. The questionnaire is designed to uncover the success of a study, with statements based on a Likert scale consisting of five response options: Strongly Agree (SA), Agree (A), Neutral (N), Disagree (D), and Strongly Disagree (SD) to measure the attitudes, opinions, and perceptions of the participants. The instrument in this study includes statements based on the Likert scale according to the indicators proposed by Toyyib, which consist of three indicators: (1) The fluency of reading the memorized Qur'an, (2) The accuracy of applying the tajwid rules in reading the memorized Qur'an, (3) The fluency in reading the memorized Qur'an. There are 21 items in the questionnaire, which have been validated by a validator. The questionnaire was then pilot tested on a class outside the sample, after which the pilot test data was analyzed for validity. The number of valid statements identified was 14, and the questionnaire was subsequently distributed to respondents in the experimental and control classes. The data collected will undergo validity and reliability testing. Validity reflects how well the measurement instrument is able to measure what it is intended to measure and how relevant the instrument is to the measurement goals. Reliability is used to evaluate whether the data collection tool shows consistency, accuracy, stability, or reliability in revealing certain phenomena. Cronbach’s Alpha is used to evaluate the consistency of the results. Normality and homogeneity tests will then be conducted to determine if the data is normally distributed and to assess whether the data has similar characteristics. To assess the significance level, this study will perform a One-Way ANOVA test to determine the significant differences between the experimental and control groups. The analysis results show that both the Wahdah and Sima’i memorization methods have a positive impact on students' memorization abilities, although not all statistical analyses reveal significant differences. This study concludes that the application of innovative memorization methods can enhance the quality of memorization skills, particularly in the subjects of Quran and Hadith.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development and implementation of PjBL in higher education through bibliometric analysis. Using data from Publish or Perish and Watase UAKE for the 2019-2023 period, this analysis identifies publication trends, dominant research themes, and the most influential authors and institutions in PjBL research. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, 114 relevant article publications were found in the Publish or Perish and Watase UAKE databases, with 25 documents from the period 2019 to 2023 selected and analyzed based on the inclusion criteria. The literature review process was carried out in accordance with PRISMA guidelines to ensure the quality of results and data analysis using VOSviewer software version 1.6.20. The research results show a significant decline in the publication of PjBL articles in the tertiary context, and there was the highest peak of publications in 2020. Most of the publications came from Spain, Indonesia and the United States, and the approaches most frequently used were quantitative and qualitative methods. Themes explored include the impact, role and implementation of PjBL. Density mapping analysis shows that knowledge about project-based learning has not been explored in depth, so further research is needed to expand understanding regarding the implementation of PjBL in the higher education context. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan dan implementasi PjBL di perguruan tinggi melalui analisis bibliometrik. Dengan menggunakan data dari Publish or Perish dan Watase UAKE selama periode 2019-2023, analisis ini mengidentifikasi tren publikasi, tema penelitian yang dominan, serta penulis dan institusi paling berpengaruh dalam penelitian PjBL. Dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR), 114 publikasi artikel yang relevan ditemukan di database Publish or Perish dan Watase UAKE, dengan 25 dokumen dari periode 2019 hingga 2023 yang dipilih dan dianalisis berdasarkan kriteria inklusi. Proses peninjauan literatur dilakukan sesuai dengan pedoman PRISMA untuk menjamin kualitas hasil dan analisis data menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak VOSviewer versi 1.6.20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan yang signifkan dalam publikasi artikel PjBL di konteks perguruan tinggi, dan terjadi puncak publikasi tertinggi pada tahun 2020. Sebagian besar publikasi berasal dari Spanyol, Indonesia, dan Amerika Serikat, dan pendekatan yang paling sering digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Tema yang dieksplorasi termasuk dampak, peran, dan penerapan PjBL. Analisis pemetaan densitas menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan tentang pembelajaran berbasis proyek belum banyak dieksplorasi secara mendalam, sehingga diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memperluas pemahaman terkait penerapan PjBL di konteks perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

One of the elements contributing to teenagers' moral deterioration is technological advancements in the digital era that are not aligned with their moral progress. This study aims to discover the moral issues of teenagers in the digital age, the concept of morality in Islam, and moral teaching from the perspective of Islamic education. This study employed library research with a descriptive-analytic approach. The study findings indicate that the sophistication of digital technology has negative consequences for teenagers, pushing them further away from religious ideals. The purpose of moral education in Islamic education for teenagers is to live according to Allah's commands and carry out their duties as servants of Allah and His representatives on earth. As a result, Islamic education is inextricably linked to efforts to instill Islamic educational values, including moral values known as akhlak.
