Abstract

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are one of the most widespread and dangerous infectious diseases. More than 30 types of pathogens can be transmitted through sexual intercourse with clinical manifestations varying by sex and age. STIs rank in the top 10 reasons for seeking treatment in many developing countries, and the costs incurred can affect household income. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of women towards sexually transmitted diseases. This study was conducted in the working area of the Tandun 1 Health Center with a sample of 92 respondents. The research design used was descriptive correlation using a research tool in the form of a questionnaire. The analysis used was frequency distribution and kai squared to analyze the relationship between variables. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge (p value = 0.000 < α = 0.05) and attitude (p value = 0.000 < α = 0.05) with the incidence of sexually transmitted infections in the working area of Tandun 1 Health Center. The study recommends that the community of the Tandun 1 Health Center working area be able to increase knowledge about STIs and good attitudes to prevent STIs.Keywords: Sexually transmitted infections, knowledge, attitude

Abstract

The incidence of measles and rubella in Indonesia has increased every year. In 2015, there were 6,209 cases, in 2016 there were 7,204 cases and in 2017 there were 11,389 cases. Rubella cases in 2015 were 1,379 cases, in 2016 were 1,170 cases and in 2017 were 4,349 cases. Surveillance data for the last 5 years shows 70% of Rubella cases occur in the age group <15 years To realize the highest degree of public health, efforts are needed to prevent the occurrence of a disease through immunization. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of MR immunization knowledge and socio-culture to maternal motivation in MR immunization participation. This type of research is quantitative, using analytic corellational design with Cross Sectional approach. Statistical analysis shows there is a relationship between knowledge and maternal motivation in MR immunization participation (P-value 0.001), there is a significant relationship between social culture and maternal motivation in MR immunization participation (P-value 0.002). From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between knowledge of MR immunization and socio-culture on maternal motivation to participate in MR immunization in the working area of Puskesmas Tambang.Keywords: MR immunization, Motivation, Knowledge, Socio-culture

Abstract

Abstract: Pregnancy is a crucial phase in the human life cycle, especially because it is included in the golden period of the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK), which starts from conception until the child is two years old. During pregnancy, the body's need for iron increases significantly, putting pregnant women at risk of anemia. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of cognitive aspects with adherence to taking Fe tablets in pregnant women. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted in the working area of Pasir Jaya Health Center. The research was conducted in September 2024. The population is all pregnant women who live in the Pasir Jaya Health Center working area, totaling 216 people. The sample amounted to 77 respondents.  The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between (p value: 0.042) and perceptions (p value: 0.032) on compliance with Fe tablet consumption in pregnant women. Pregnant women are advised to follow the doctor's or midwife's recommendations regarding regular consumption of blood supplement tablets and not to skip doses.Keywords: Compliance, Knowledge, Perception.
