Abstract

The purpose of the study was to create a valid and practical learning media comic on moral subject. The type of this research was Research and Development by using the Borg & Gall development model which was consisted of 10 steps. The data analysis technique used in this study was a quantitative descriptive analysis. The instrument used to collect data on the development of the moral comic media was a questionnaire and the trial subjects in this research were media experts, material experts, teachers and the seventh-grade students of MTs (Islamic Junior High School). Based on the validation of material experts and media experts, it showed that the results of the validation of material experts with a percentage value of 81% or very feasible and the results of the validation of media experts with a percentage value of 94.2% or very feasible. The results of trial subjects on the seventh-grade teachers as an expert practitioner got a percentage value of 97% or very feasible and the results of the trial on 10 respondents got the general percentage value of 87.6% or very good. Overall, it showed that comic media was very suitable to be used as learning media. The implication of this research was the existence of comic learning media that could be used by teachers while teaching so that the choice of learning media was varied and the learning quality got better.

Abstract

High school learning changed from traditional (face-to-face) learning to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Students' perceptions of learning are one of the supporting factors for successful learning, including online learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of high school students towards online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and what learning media they like the most. This online survey research will explore high school students' perceptions of online learning that has taken place, for data discussion to answer research problems, a descriptive approach was used.. The research respondents were 592 students from 2 districts in the mountains of Aceh, namely Central Aceh and Bener Meriah. The results showed that high school students gave a poor perception of online learning; the learning media that students liked was the WhatsApp application. Students' loneliness causes this perception. Due to a lack of "social presence", social media as a learning medium is one solution to these problems, students choose social media to build a collaborative learning environment. Social media should be used as a learning medium, to reduce boredom due to lack of learning interaction. From the results of the research found, it appears that there is a need for improvements to the ongoing online learning system

Abstract

Background. The use of mobile devices has brought significant changes to learning in elementary schools, offering quick access to learning resources and increasing interactivity in the learning process. This reflects a paradigm shift in education towards the use of technology as an effective and dynamic learning tool. Purpose. The aim of this research is to fill the existing knowledge gap in the literature by investigating the views of PGSD students and elementary school teachers regarding the use of mobile devices in learning at school base. It is hoped that this research can provide a deeper understanding of the potential of mobile devices in supporting the learning process at the basic level, as well as becoming a basis for developing more effective learning strategies in the future. Method. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach through a survey model involving 30 respondents, consisting of PGSD students and elementary school teachers. Data collection was carried out through distributing online questionnaires using Google Form. Data analysis was carried out using a quantitative data analysis approach, paying attention to the validity of the data through comparison with other relevant data sources. Results. The results of the questionnaire analysis show that the majority of students use mobile devices regularly, indicating widespread adoption of technology in the educational context. However, challenges that need to be overcome include a lack of training and support for educators, as well as school policies that may not fully support the integration of technology in the curriculum.   Conclusion. The integration of mobile devices in learning in elementary schools promises many benefits, but also faces challenges that need to be overcome. With adequate support, it is hoped that the use of mobile devices can become an effective and inclusive learning tool for all students, preparing them to face the demands of an increasingly digitally connected world.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas penelitian dan publikasi ilmiah di jurnal yang terindeks Scopus adalah tantangan yang signifikan dalam dunia akademik saat ini. Untuk mengatasi hal ini dan mendukung perkembangan penelitian akademik yang lebih bermutu, Fakultas Syariah, Dakwah, dan Ushuluddin IAIN Takengon mengadakan sebuah workshop dengan tema "Roadmap ke Jurnal Terindeks Scopus: Panduan Praktis Menulis Artikel." Workshop ini bertujuan untuk memberikan panduan praktis tentang proses penulisan artikel ilmiah yang sesuai dengan standar Scopus. Peserta workshop akan mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang apa itu Scopus, langkah-langkah essensial dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, teknik pembuatan judul yang menarik, dan strategi pencarian referensi yang relevan. Workshop ini berfokus pada peserta yang terdiri dari dosen, mahasiswa, peneliti, dan penulis potensial yang ingin meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam menulis artikel ilmiah yang dapat diindeks Scopus. Workshop ini tidak hanya sebagai solusi untuk kendala penulisan artikel ilmiah, tetapi juga sebagai platform interaktif yang memungkinkan peserta untuk berdiskusi, bertukar pengalaman, dan memperkaya wawasan dalam dunia penelitian ilmiah. Dengan upaya bersama untuk meningkatkan kualitas penulisan artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi kriteria Scopus, workshop ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat peran dalam perkembangan pengetahuan yang berkelanjutan. Metode pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui empat langkah, meliputi perencanaan dan persiapan workshop yang matang, pengorganisasian acara dengan promosi yang efektif, pelaksanaan workshop yang interaktif, dan evaluasi serta umpan balik dari peserta. Hasil dari pelaksanaan metode ini adalah suksesnya workshop dengan berbagai materi yang relevan serta dampak positif yang dapat membantu peserta dalam menulis artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi kriteria Scopus. Workshop ini memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan kontribusi penelitian akademik di IAIN Takengon dan berkontribusi pada kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan secara luas.

Abstract

Indikator yang penting dalam mengukur kontribusi penulis ke pengetahuan global adalah publikasi ilmiah pada jurnal bergengsi. Webinar ini mempunyai tujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan praktis bagi para peneliti yang akan menulis dan menerbitkan artikel di Scopus indexed journal. Topik webinar meliputi pemahaman artikel bibliometrik, tahap-tahap dari tulisan dan pemanfaatan beberapa perangkat analisis bibliometrik seperti VOSviewer dan Biblioshiny. Metode webinar mencakup survei kebutuhan calon peserta, tim pengembangan materi dan persiapan presentasi. Platform Zoom digunakan sebagai media penyelenggaraan dengan sesi teori yang menjelaskan dasar-dasar artikel bibliometrik dan sesi praktik yang menunjukkan aplikasi perangkat lunak analisis serta studi kasus nyata. Pengguna juga bisa konsultasi secara individu, mendapatkan umpan balik dan review terhadap draft artikel mereka. Evaluasi webinar dilakukan lewat kuisioner untuk memberikan nilai efektivitas serta kualitas materi yang diberikan. Menurut hasilnya, ini adalah sangat sukses karena telah meningkatkan kesadaran untuk berpartisipasi dalam menulis artikel ilmiah. Laporan akhir merangkum seluruh kegiatan dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk kegiatan serupa di masa depan. Webinar ini memberikan dasar yang kuat bagi peneliti untuk mencapai publikasi di jurnal bereputasi, serta meningkatkan visibility dan kredibilitas penelitian mereka.

Abstract

The use of technology in education has grown rapidly in recent years. One of the increasingly popular language learning apps is Duolingo. This app provides an easy-to-use, interactive and free way to learn many languages, including foreign languages. This study aims to determine the use of the Duolingo application as a means of learning vocabulary in tertiary institutions. This study uses quantitative methods by collecting population and samples. The data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The questionnaire was created by using the Google form. The number of questions is 15 with the categories strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree. The study was conducted through surveys and interviews with a number of students who used Duolingo as a vocabulary learning tool. In addition, research also observes the effect of using this application by assessing students' learning progress after using Duolingo. The results of the study show that the Duolingo application makes a positive contribution to learning vocabulary in universities. Students say the app provides a fun learning experience and inspires them to keep practicing. The app's interactive features, such as play-based exercises, also help increase learning engagement and enhance student engagement. In addition, this research also shows that students' learning progress after using Duolingo increases significantly. Using this application provides flexible learning access and allows students to study anytime, anywhere according to their interests and schedule. In short, the use of the Duolingo application as a tool for learning vocabulary in tertiary institutions can be considered effective and useful. This application can be an interesting and effective alternative to improve students' understanding and fluency of vocabulary. However, it is important to continue researching and developing the use of this learning technology so that it can be optimized and adapted to the needs and characteristics of each educational institution

Abstract

This study explores Cyberfaith, examining the intricate relationship between information technology and the religious perspectives of Muslim youth. With an emphasis on how the digital age has altered religious activities, the study offers complex insights into how information technology affects the spiritual perspectives of the next generation. The study adds to our understanding of the benefits and difficulties of incorporating technology into religious expressions by exploring the Cyberfaith phenomena. The findings emphasize the complexity of this influence and the part that religious beliefs play in influencing attitudes and actions. The development of Islamic religious narratives is greatly influenced by information technology, which questions established conventions and reframes concepts of authority and religion. The study's global reach demonstrates how Islamic expressions and societal elements are impacted in different parts of the world. Worship has changed as a result of the use of technology into religious rituals; this presents both opportunities and difficulties that need more investigation. The study highlights the significant change in Muslim youth's religious engagement in the digital age and stresses the significance of comprehending the effects on society and academia. Future studies should look at the implications for policy and education in helping Muslim teenagers utilize technology responsibly in religious contexts.

Abstract

Panti asuhan ini merawat anak-anak yatim piatu, yaitu anak-anak yang telah kehilangan kedua orang tuanya, serta anak-anak yang terlantar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk membantu anak-anak di Panti Asuhan Budi Luhur agar lebih memahami operasi aritmetika, sekaligus memotivasi dan membuka wawasan mereka bahwa belajar matematika bisa menjadi hal yang menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR). Subjek kegiatan ini berjumlah 38 anak, yang terdiri dari siswa sekolah dasar hingga siswa sekolah menengah atas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan hasil yang positif, yaitu meningkatnya pemahaman terhadap operasi bilangan bulat dan perubahan pandangan anak-anak terhadap pelajaran matematika. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa program pengabdian ini berjalan dengan lancar dan berhasil mencapai tujuannya, yaitu meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak terhadap operasi bilangan bulat, memotivasi mereka, dan membuat mereka merasa senang dalam belajar matematika. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan anak-anak dalam memahami materi akademik, menumbuhkan minat dan rasa percaya diri, membantu mengurangi kesenjangan pendidikan, memberikan dukungan dasar bagi pendidikan formal, serta menumbuhkan empati sosial. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini layak untuk dilanjutkan di masa yang akan datang.
