Between 2014 and 2025, the payments segment consistently attracted the largest share of global fintech investment. In 2025, payments funding totaled **** billion U.S. dollars, lower than in prior years but still leading all segments. Other areas, including regtech, wealthtech, and cybersecuritym, also recorded declines in 2025, reflecting continued selectivity among investors. By contrast, digital assets and insurtech saw renewed momentum, with funding picking up compared to 2024. Overall, global fintech investment increased in 2025, marking the first annual rise since 2022 and signaling a cautious rebound across the sector.
