The source adds the following information: Data are sourced from the Cambridge Fintech Ecosystem Atlas, an interactive public repository developed by the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance. The Atlas systematically identifies and classifies fintech entities as firms that use digital technology to provide or enable financial services, excluding incumbent financial institutions. Entities included must have operated for at least one year and maintain a concrete digital presence. The dataset, covering more than 2,000 entities, is based on pooled information gathered through a combination of manual and automated data extraction and validation processes. Data are provided for informational purposes and should be independently verified where necessary.
