Average Collection Period

The impact of working capital management on the liquidity and profitability of select deposit money banks in Nigeria was the main focus of this work. Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study. Taro Yamane's statistical formula was used to determine the sample size of ten out of twenty two deposit money banks in Nigeria. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples. Two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Regression analysis. The findings showed that there is significant positive relationship between banks' performance and bank size; there is a significant negative relationship between profitability and cash conversion cycle and leverage; there is a significant negative relationship between liquidity and creditors' payment period and leverage; and there is a significant positive relationship between liquidity and debtors' collection period, cash conversion cycle and credit risk. It is recommended that the Central Bank of Nigeria should review the minimum capital requirement to N50 billion and banks in 'trouble' should be advised to merge or to be acquired by other mega bank(s).

Du  Pont  Systemadalah  analisis  rasio  yang  digunakan  untuk  dapat  mengetahui  posisi  laba  dan penggunaan aset perusahaan dengan menggabungkan beberapa data dari neraca dan perhitungan laba rugi ke dalam dua ringkasan alat ukur kemampuan untuk menghasilkan profitabilitas yang terdiri dari ROI dan ROE. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kinerja keuangan PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk periode 2017-2021 tergolong kurang baik. Hal ini dikarenakan, dari lima variabel yang dianalisis dalam metode Du Pont System  berupa  Net  Profit  Margin  (NPM),  Total  Assets  Turnover  (TATO),  Return  On  Assets  (ROA),  Equity Multiplier  (EM),  Return  On  Equity  (ROE)  berada  di  bawah  standar  industri  dan  hanya  EM  nya  saja  yang meningkat, Meningkatnya nilai EM menandakan bahwa perusahaan banyak menggunakan dana eksternal atau utang  untuk  membiayai  aktivitas  perusahaan,  yang  disebabkan  dengan  adanya  ketidakstabilan  kinerja  pada setiap tahunnya. Peningkatan ini terjadi karena adanya peningkatan total aktiva yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan peningkatan total ekuitas. Sehingga perusahaan dapat mengelola hutang untuk memperbaiki keuntungan. Concerns have been raised about the detrimental effects of inadequate cash flow on investment performance and long-term financial viability in Nigeria's industrial goods sector, due to fluctuating cash flows. In view of this, this study examined the relationship between cash flow management and investment performance of quoted industrial goods firms in Nigeria. The specific objectives were to determine the relationship between cash conversion cycle and return on assets of quoted industrial goods firms in Nigeria, to ascertain the relationship between current ratio and return on assets of quoted industrial goods firms in Nigeria and to assess the relationship between of cash ratio and return assets of quoted industrial goods firms in Nigeria. The study covered ten (10)-year period (2014-2023) with panel data comprising of one hundred and twenty (120) pooled observations gathered from twelve (12) industrial goods firms quoted on the Nigerian Exchange Group. The study however adopted an ex-post facto research design and utilized standardized regression (Ordinary Least Square-OLS) technique to analyze data via E-views 10.0 statistical package. The study findings revealed that cash conversion cycle has a significant negative relationship (Coeff. = -0.0027 {0.0123}) with the return on assets of quoted industrial goods firms in Nigeria while current ratio has an insignificant positive relationship (Coeff. = 0.0009{0.1510}) with return on assets of quoted industrial goods firms in Nigeria. It also revealed that cash ratio has a significant positive relationship (Coeff. = 0.1709{0.0001}) with return on assets of quoted industrial goods firms in Nigeria. The study underscores the critical importance of effective cash flow management in driving investment performance and profitability. It was thus concluded that proficient cash flow management is essential for maximizing investment performance and profitability.  The recommendations made, included that, industrial goods firms in Nigeria should prioritize reducing their cash conversion cycle (CCC) to improve investment performance. This can be achieved by implementing efficient inventory management, accounts receivable and payable management, and streamlining operations to minimize unnecessary working capital requirements at all times.

Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Struktur Modal Terhadap Optimalisasi Laba (Studi Kasus Pada Perusahaan-perusahaan Go Public masuk ke dalam daftar Jakarta Islamic Index periode 2001-2005). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peranan struktur modal dapat mempengaruhi optimalisasi (peningkatan) laba. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi dan analisis independent t test agar dapat diketahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh variabel struktur modal terhadap optimalisasi laba dan apakah ada perbedaan antara kondisi perusahaan dengan struktur modal yang tinggi dan rendah dalam kaitannya dengan optimalisasi laba. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang masuk daftar Jakarta Islamic Index. Alasan dipilihnya JII sebagai objek penelitian adalah pertama, karena selama ini belum banyak penelitian pada bidang keuangan meneliti pada indeks ini. Sehingga diharapkan penelitian pada indeks ini dapat menambah wawasan akan objek penelitian yang selama ini diteliti. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur modal memiliki pengaruh terhadap optimalisasi laba dengan nilai regresi-0,092 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,027 (sig 5%). Sedangkan uji independent t test menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak, berarti tidak ada perbedaan terkait dengan optimalisasi laba baik pada perusahaan dengan struktur modal tinggi dan rendah.

A properly designed and implemented payables management is expected to contribute positively to the insurance firm's profitability. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of average payments period on profitability of quoted insurance companies in Nigeria. The study was carried out using Return on Assets as dependent variable and Average Payments Period as explanatory variable. Return on Assets was used as a measure of profitability Data were collected from the annual financial reports of 20 sampled insurance companies. Multiple regression technique was used in analyzing the model for testing the hypothesis. Current Ratio, Fixed Financial Total Asset Ratio, Debt Asset Ratio, Growth and Size were incorporated in the model as control variables. The results indicated that Average Payments Period has a significant negative impact on profitability. Based on the findings, the study recommends that Nigerian insurance companies should endeavour to reduce their number of days accounts payables optimally and concentrate on reducing the high variability in the average payables period to enhance their corporate profits.

Working capital is a critical part of an investment because it is impossible for an organisation to run without funds. However, there were so many challenges faced by manufacturing firms in managing their working capital, which had made it difficult for manufacturing firms to make adequate profit. This study investigated the effect of working capital management on the financial performance of listed manufacturing firms in Nigeria. Eight listed manufacturing firms were randomly selected and data were sourced from the Audited Annual report of the firms in Nigeria from 2015 to 2020. The formulated hypotheses were tested with the aid of panel unit root test, Kao residual panel co-integration and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) panel data regression. Findings from the study revealed that cash conversion period, accounts receivable days, debt repayment period and current ratio have negative and significant effect on the financial performance of listed manufacturing firms. The study recommended that working capital components be properly assessed by finance managers, and that any subsequent policies should ensure that the cash conversion cycle is drastically decreased to increase profitability. Also, accounts receivable days should not be excessively long to prevent the time it takes a customer to pay a business for the goods or services they purchased from being unnecessarily extended, the debt repayment period should also be extended to allow for a longer period of repayment, higher amount of loans, and low interest.

Therefore, this study examined the effects of working capital management on the performance of selected firms in Nigeria using a cross sectional data spanning 2012 to 2018. Gross profit margin was used as dependent variable while independent variable which is working capital was measured using Cash Conversion Cycle. The study also used size of the firm, leverage ratio and debt equity ratio as control variables. Secondary data were sourced from six firms which are Nestle, Dangote Cement, Dangote Flour, Honeywell, Dangote Sugar, and Berger's paints and was analyzed using trend analysis and random panel regression. Findings revealed from trend analysis revealed that, bigger firm are likely to have short conversion cycle than the smaller firms and also that company cash conversion cycles vary depending on their sizes and this may have influence on firm's profitability. The empirical analysis found that, out of the four explanatory variables, only debt financing and Cash Conversion Cycle are significant in influencing the profitability of the firms. Leverage ratio and the size of the firms are found to be insignificant. The study therefore concluded that, Cash Conversion Cycle is inversely related to the profits margin of the firms. It was therefore recommended that management should always strike a balance between its liquidity and its earnings.

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the effect of growth and financial strength variables on the financial leverage for some listed companies in the Tehran Stock Exchange. For this purpose, a sample of 700 firm-years among listed companies in the Tehran Stock Exchange over the period 2006-2010 was examined. In the present study, the growth variables, including asset growth, profit growth and sales growth; and financial strength calculated by the Altman Z-bankruptcy model have been considered as independent variables. In addition, the ratios of long-term debt to total assets, long-term debt to fixed assets, total long-term debt and short-term receivable facilities to equity capital and total long-term debt and short-term receivable facilities to total assets are used as measures of financial leverage and dependent variables. The results indicate that there is a negative and significant relationship between assets growth and some indexes of financial leverage. There is also a positive and significant relationship between the variables of profit growth, sales growth and financial strength with financial leverage measures.

Liquidity is the company's ability to pay its short-term obligations. The higher the level of liquidity, the more able the company is to pay off its obligations, and vice versa, the lower the liquidity, the lower the company's ability to pay off its obligations. This study aims to determine the effect of cash turnover, receivables turnover, and inventory turnover on liquidity which is represented by the current ratio at Mutiara Harappan Regional Public Company, Alor Regency, either partially or simultaneously. Data collection was carried out using documentation techniques by taking samples in the form of financial statements for 2015-2019. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F test. The results showed that partially cash turnover had a significant positive effect on company liquidity, Accounts receivable turnover has a significant positive effect on the company's liquidity, and inventory turnover has a significant positive effect on the company's liquidity. Simultaneously cash turnover accounts receivable turnover, and inventory turnover has a significant positive effect on company liquidity.

This study aims to determine the financial ratios represented by capital structure (DER), company size (ln total assets), business risk (DOL) to firm value. Data collection techniques using purposive sampling and obtained as many as 17 sample companies from 73 populations of chemical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2014-2018 period. The analysis model uses multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the coefficient test, the R square value of 0.749 shows that the correlation or closeness of the relationship of capital structure, company size, business risk and company value is only 74.9%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Debt to Equity Ratio dan Return On Asset terhadap Earning Per Share pada PT. Adhi Karya Persero Tbk. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel debt to equity ratio, return on asset dan earning per share. Peneliti menggunakan data sekunder, yaitu Laporan Keuangan Tahunan PT. Adhi Karya Persero Tbk periode 2014-2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah berbentuk asosiatif yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, pengumpulan data yaitu penelitian perpustakaan dan studi dokumentasi.Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda, penelitian ini menggunakan software SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa debt to equity ratio dan return on asset secara bersama-sama berengaruh signifikan terhadap earning per share. This study aims to determine the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio and Return On Assets on Earning Per Share at PT. Adhi Karya Persero Tbk. This study uses the variable debt to equity ratio, return on assets and earnings per share. Researchers used secondary data, namely the Annual Financial Report of PT. ABSTRACT
This work studied the relationship between Cost Reduction Methods and Profitability of 5 listed Manufacturing Firms in Nigeria from 2018 to 2022. Cost reduction Methods was measured by Inventory Control, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Labour and Overhead Control while the researcher measured profitability by Return on Assets and Return on Investment. Six (6) specific objectives, six (6) research questions and six (6) Research hypothesis were examined in this study to determine the relationship between the predictor variable and criterion variables. The Pearson’s correlation coefficient was used to examine the relationship between the study variables while the Regression analysis was used to test the Hypothesis of the study. From the analysis the following findings were made there exist a significant and positive relationship between Cost-Benefit Analysis and Return on Assets of the selected manufacturing Firms in Nigeria, significant and positive relationship between labour/ overhead control and return on Investment of the selected manufacturing Firms in Nigeria. It was therefore recommended as follows; Firms should begin by developing a plan of action for improving the profitability of their underperforming assets, i.e. those customers and products that fall below the line, there should be an effort towards entrenching the current cost reduction methods system into all aspect of the company’s activity and educate the drivers of the system on the application of the methods. It was finally recommended that more manufacturing Firms should consider including cost reduction methods in their optimal plans to foster effective analysis of their costs incurred during its activities.

Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study. Taro Yamane's statistical formula was used to determine the sample size of ten out of twenty two deposit money banks in Nigeria. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples. Two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Regression analysis. The findings showed that there is significant positive relationship between banks' performance and bank size; there is a significant negative relationship between profitability and cash conversion cycle and leverage; there is a significant negative relationship between liquidity and creditors' payment period and leverage; and there is a significant positive relationship between liquidity and debtors' collection period, cash conversion cycle and credit risk. It is recommended that the Central Bank of Nigeria should review the minimum capital requirement to N50 billion and banks in 'trouble' should be advised to merge or to be acquired by other mega bank(s).

The study examined the working capital management strategies of Nigerian Manufacturing Firms and effect on Corporate Performance. Working capital management was decomposed into five variables being account receivable management (ARM), account payable management (APM), inventory management (INVM), cash conversion cycle (CCC) and cash conversion efficiency (CCE) which serve as the explanatory variables of the study while Corporate Performance was proxied by Return on Assets (ROA). The data for the study were collected from the Financial Statement and Annual Accounts of the selected firms covering a data panel framework of 20 years period (2000 to 2020) and nine (9) firms specifically were selected. The analysis was based on the ARDL regression technique and was used to estimate the regression model while the probability values of the ARDL regression estimates were used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result showed that: Account receivable management strategy have long run and no short run effect on return on asset of quoted manufacturing firms in Nigeria; Account payable management strategy have long run and no short run effect on return on asset of quoted manufacturing firms in Nigeria; Inventory management strategy have long and short run effect on return on asset of quoted manufacturing firms in Nigeria; Cash conversion cycle strategy have long and short run effect on return on asset of quoted manufacturing firms in Nigeria; and Cash conversion efficiency strategy have no long and short run effect on return on asset of quoted manufacturing firms in Nigeria. Further analysis revealed that account receivable, account payable inventory management and cash conversion efficiency had causal effects on return on assets. However, there is no causal relationship between cash conversion cycle strategy and return on asset of quoted manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The study thus concluded that working capital management strategies have significant effect on the financial performance of firms, and that the degree of effect differs by period, type of strategy and financial performance indicator. It was recommended among others that management of firms should firms increase the supplies to customers and allow credit to its customers, and firms should also explore the use of short-term credit in financing their business. The study contributed to knowledge by employing long run panel technique in investigating the working capital and firm performance nexus in Nigeria.

This study aims to determine the financial ratios represented by capital structure (DER), company size (ln total assets), business risk (DOL) to firm value. Data collection techniques using purposive sampling and obtained as many as 17 sample companies from 73 populations of chemical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2014-2018 period. The analysis model uses multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the coefficient test, the R square value of 0.749 shows that the correlation or closeness of the relationship of capital structure, company size, business risk and company value is only 74.9%. Adjusted R Square value of 0.735 indicates that the variable capital structure, company size, and business risk explains the variable to the company value of 73.5%. Management of working capital is one of the key functions in financial management. Working capital management has its impact on the liquidity and profitability of the firm. Because of its importance, this study examines the impact of working capital management on firms' profitability and firms' value in listed companies of Sri Lanka. Financial data from forty-one companies listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange for the period of four years, which comprises 205 firm-year observations were analysed using panel data regression analysis. It is revealed that the cash conversion cycle, days of accounts payable, and working capital financing policy has a significant negative impact on return on assets. Meanwhile, a significant positive effect is found between days of accounts receivable and return on assets. Further, there is a significant positive impact of firm size on both firms' profitability and firms' value. Evidence implies that firms could improve their profitability through efficient working capital management. The evidence implies that firms may improve their profitability through efficient working capital management and that would be useful to consider on maintaining optimal working capital management components and policies to ignore corporate collapse in Sri Lanka.

Three crucial fields of activity such as production, sales, and collection are important determinants of the economic lives of companies. Working capital management ensures that these activities are conducted in a short period at the lowest cost incurred by the company. Particularly, the costs incurred due to time-based, inventory, and cash assets adversely affect the profitability levels of companies. In the research study, the financial information of 21 wholesale and retail companies trading in Borsa Istanbul over the period 2017-2021 was analyzed employing the panel data method. The information obtained from the financial statements of the companies was assessed within the scope of working capital management and profitability by utilizing the ratios such as inventory turnover, accounts receivables turnover, accounts payables turnover, cash conversion cycle, leverage ratio, and current ratio. The results revealed that a significant relationship exists between the return on assets of the companies and the inventory turnover, cash conversion cycle, accounts payable turnover, and leverage factors, whereas between the return on equity of the companies and inventory turnover, accounts receivable turnover, and cash conversion cycle.

This study aims to test and analyze the effect of return on assets, debt to total assets, and fixed to total assets to return on equity. The research method is descriptive statistics using multiple linear regression analysis as an analysis tool. Before the regression model is used in hypothesis testing, first the model will be tested whether the model meets the classical assumptions or not, which of these assumptions are the assumptions underlying the regression analysis. Classic assumption test includes normality test, multicollinearity test, autocoleration test, and heteroscedasticity test. Based on the normality test, it was found that the data was not normally distributed, therefore the data was converted into natural logarithms, then the data were re-tested and showed that there were no deviations in classical assumptions so that the data met the requirements to use multiple linear regression analysis analysis models. The data collection tool used is the study of observation and literature study with a census method with research objects of 8 BUMN Construction Companies in the period 2012-2016. The results of the regression analysis partially show that return on assets and debt to total assets have an effect on return on equity, while fixed to total assets have no effect on return on equity. Then, the results of regression analysis simultaneously show that return on assets, debt to total assets, and fixed to total assets affect return on equity.

The purpose of this research is to test and analyze empirically the influence of debt to equity ratio, debt ratio, long term debt, long term debt to equity ratio, and liquidity on profitability. The object of this research is pharmaceutical companies that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2002-2014. The purposive sampling is used as sampling technique, where 8 companies met the criteria and where analyzed using Eviews8 panel data regressions with random effect model to test the hypothesis. The result of this research shows that debt to equity ratio, debt ratio, long term debt, long term debt to equity ratio, and liquidity influence the profitability.

Working capital investments are essential for daily business operations of an entity. For that matter firms make huge amounts of investments in working capital that enables them to pay recurring obligations. The main aim of this study is to investigate the determinants of working capital requirement of 35 large taxpayer manufacturing firms from food and beverage industry of Addis Ababa by employing explanatory research design with quantitative approach. Firms' financial statements were collected for five years period from 2011 to 2015. Cash conversion cycle, return on asset, operating cash flow, leverage, firm size, growth rate, real GDP growth rate and inflation rate were used as an explanatory variables to measure the size or level of working capital requirement, and net working capital deflated by total asset were used as a dependent variable. Data was analyzed with the help of STATA (version 13) and, descriptive and correlation analysis and pooled panel data regression models of cross-sectional and time series data were employed. Results from the analysis revealed that there is statistically significant negative relationship between working capital requirement with leverage, firm size, real GDP growth rate and inflation rate. And there is positive and significant relationship between working capital requirements with cash conversion cycle.

The study examined the impact of effective asset management on
financial performance of Nigerian consumer goods corporations.
The specific objectives of the study were to determine the effect of
Account Receivables Turnover Ratio, Inventory Turnover Ratio and
Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE) Turnover Ratio on Return on
Assets (ROA) of Consumer Goods Firms in Nigeria. The research
design employed in this study was ex post facto, spanning the years
2013 to 2022. Secondary data were extracted from the annual
reports and accounts of the selected consumer goods firms in
Nigeria. The data analysis involved multiple panel regression using
a fixed effect model. The result revealed that the Account
Receivables Turnover ratio has a positive (t-Statistic 2.92988) and
significant (p-value 0.0267) effect on the Return on Assets of the
sampled Consumer Goods Firms in Nigeria. Similarly, the Inventory
Turnover Ratio demonstrated a positive (t-Statistic of 4.41911) and
significant (p-value 0.0010) effect on the Return on Assets of these
firms. Additionally, the Property, Plant, and Equipment Turnover
Ratio exhibited a positive (t-Statistic 2.25927) and significant effect
(p-value 0.0140) on the Return on Assets of the sampled Consumer
Goods Firms in Nigeria. The findings implies that efficient
management of account receivables, inventory, and property,
plant, and equipment turnover can significantly contribute to
enhancing the financial performance of consumer goods firms in
Nigeria. In conclusion, the study demonstrates the positive and
statistically significant effects of Account Receivables Turnover,
Inventory Turnover, and Property, Plant, and Equipment Turnover
Ratios on the Return on Assets of consumer goods firms in Nigeria.
The study recommended that management of consumer goods
firms in Nigeria should focus on optimizing their account
receivables, inventory, and property, plant, and equipment
turnover as strategies to improve financial performance.

Hayes(2023) posits  that inventory management refers to the process of ordering, storing, using, and selling a company's inventory. This includes the management of raw materials, components, and finished products, as well as warehousing and processing of such items. There are different types of inventory management, each with its pros and cons, depending on a company’s needs. We further examined inventory as a concept. The term inventory refers to the raw materials used in production as well as the goods produced that are available for sale. A company's inventory represents one of the most important assets it has because the turnover of inventory represents one of the primary sources of revenue generation and subsequent earnings for the company's shareholders. There are three types of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. We also dwelt on inventory methods. Depending on the type of business or product being analyzed, a company will use various inventory management methods. Some of these management methods include just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing, materials requirement planning (MRP), economic order quantity (EOQ), and days sales of inventory (DSI). There are others, but these are the four most common methods used to analyze inventory. We discussed the benefits of inventory. A company's inventory is one of its most valuable assets. In retail, manufacturing, food services, and other inventory-intensive sectors, a company's inputs and finished products are the core of its business. A shortage of inventory when and where it is needed can be extremely detrimental. We examined the concept of work in progress. In production and supply-chain management, the term work-in-progress (WIP) describes partially finished goods awaiting completion. WIP refers to the raw materials, labor, and overhead costs incurred for products that are at various stages of the production process. WIP is a component of the inventory asset account on the balance sheet. These costs are subsequently transferred to the finished goods account and eventually to the cost of sales. Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Struktur Modal Terhadap Optimalisasi Laba (Studi Kasus Pada Perusahaan-perusahaan Go Public masuk ke dalam daftar Jakarta Islamic Index periode 2001-2005). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peranan struktur modal dapat mempengaruhi optimalisasi (peningkatan) laba. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi dan analisis independent t test agar dapat diketahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh variabel struktur modal terhadap optimalisasi laba dan apakah ada perbedaan antara kondisi perusahaan dengan struktur modal yang tinggi dan rendah dalam kaitannya dengan optimalisasi laba. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang masuk daftar Jakarta Islamic Index. Alasan dipilihnya JII sebagai objek penelitian adalah pertama, karena selama ini belum banyak penelitian pada bidang keuangan meneliti pada indeks ini. Sehingga diharapkan penelitian pada indeks ini dapat menambah wawasan akan objek penelitian yang selama ini diteliti. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur modal memiliki pengaruh terhadap optimalisasi laba dengan nilai regresi-0,092 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,027 (sig 5%). Sedangkan uji independent t test menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak, berarti tidak ada perbedaan terkait dengan optimalisasi laba baik pada perusahaan dengan struktur modal tinggi dan rendah.

Bauran penggunaan modal sendiri dan hutang disebut dengan struktur modal perusahaan. Kebijakan pemilihan sumber pendanaan mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi struktur modal. Variabel yang diteliti adalah pertumbuhan pendapatan, struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan perusahaan, dan profitabilitas. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif statistik dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda sebagai alat analisis. Sebelum model regresi digunakan dalam pengujian hipotesis, terlebih dahulu model tersebut akan diuji apakah model tersebut memenuhi asumsi klasik atau tidak, yang mana asumsi ini merupakan asumsi yang mendasari analisis regresi. Uji asumsi klasik meliputi uji normalitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji autokolerasi, dan uji heteroskedatisitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tidak ditemukan penyimpangan pada asumsi klasik, hal ini menunjukan bahwa data yang tersedia telah memenuhi syarat untuk menggunakan model analisis analisis regresi linier berganda. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah studi observasi dan studi pustaka dengan metode sensus dengan objek penelitian 8 Perusahaan Konstruksi BUMN tahun periode 2012-2016. Hasil analisis regresi secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan penjualan, pertumbuhan perusahaan, dan struktur aktiva berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal, sedangkan profitabilitas tidak berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal. Kemudian, Hasil analisis regresi secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan pendapatan, struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan perusahaan, dan profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal.

Teori struktur modal berbicara mengenai apakah ada pengaruh perubahan struktur modal terhadap nilai perusahaan, jika keputusan investasi dan kebijakan dividen dipegang konstan. Dengan kata lain jika perusahaan menggantikan sebagian modal sendiri dengan hutang atau sebaliknya apakah harga saham akan berubah, apabila perusahaann tidak merubah keputusan-keputusan keuangan lainnya.
Dalam struktur modal ini dibahas dengan pandangan konseptual. Lebih spesifik lagi, teori-teori struktur modal dibicarakan seperti teori Mondigilani-Miller (MM) yang mnegatakan bahwa struktur modal tidak mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan, teori pecking order mangatakan bawa penggunaan dana didasarkan pada urutan tertentu, dan teori keagenan yang mebgatakan bahwa konflik keagenan yang akan menentukan oenggunaan struktur  utang tertentu. Teori MM merupakan teori yang paling klasik dan paling berpengaruh terhadap diskusi struktur modal selanjutnya, dan berharap teori keuangan perusahaan pada umumnya. Ada 2 versi teori  Mondigilani-Miller (MM) tanpa pajak dan dengan pajak. Tanpa pajak  Mondigilani-Miller (MM) berargumen bahwa struktur modal tidak mempengaruhi perusahaan sedangkan dengan pajak argumennya nilai perusahaan dan utang sama dengan nilai perusahaan tanpa uatang (100% saham) ditambah dengan penghematan pajak karena penggunaan utang (bunga bisa dipakai untuk mengurangi pajak). Bagian akhir membicarakan pengujian empiris untuk melihat teori mana yang paling baik menjelaskan fenomene struktur modal.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh kemampuan informasi laba, free cash flow, beban depresiasi, dan rasio perputaran piutang  dalam memprediksi arus kas di masa depan pada perusahaan real estate dan property yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2015-2018. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perputaran kas dan perputaran piutangterhadap profitabilitas. Data sekunder digunakan dalam penulisan ini berupa laporankeuanganperusahaansektorkonstruksibangunanyangterdaftardiBursaEfekIndonesia.Variabel independen dalam penulisan ini adalah perputaran kas dan perputaran piutang,sedangkanvariabeldependenadalahprofitabilitas.Metodeanalisisyangdigunakanadalahregresilinearberganda,ujiFdanujit.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan perputaran kas dan perputaranpiutang berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Debt to Equity Ratio berpengaruh terhadap (Return on Asset) Perusahaan Subsktor Otomotif Dan Komponen Tahun 2014-2020 Yang Terdaftar Di BEI yang dapat dilihat dari nilai demikian t-hitung (-3.473833) > t-tabel (1,99601) dan nilai Prob. 0,0009 < 0,05. Secara parsial Debt to Assets Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio berpengaruh terhadap (Return on Asset) Perusahaan Subsktor Otomotif Dan Komponen Tahun 2014-2020 Yang Terdaftar Di BEI yang dapat dilihat dari nilai F-statistic sebesar 7,190929 > F tabel 3,13 dan nilai Prob (F-statistic) 0,001482 < 0,05. Dengan besarnya pengaruh 15,21% artinya naik turunnya nilai variabel ROA dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel DAR dan DER sebesar 15,21%, sementara sisanya sebesar 84,79% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti.

Tujuan penelitian adalah menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh net profit margin, current ratio, firm size, risiko bisnis terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan industri dasar dan kimia di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2014-2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sifat penelitian ini adalah penelitian sebab dan akibat/kausal. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 67 perusahaan industri dasar dan kimia di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2014-2017. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 perusahaan industri dasar dan kimia di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2014-2017 dengan sampel pengamatan sebanyak 124 observasi pengamatan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan model penelitian adalah regresi linear berganda. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Institutional Investors and Board of Director on capital structure in non-financial firms listed in Indeks Kompas 100 period of time 2012- 2016 . Firm size and profitability are used as control variables in this study. Capital structure is measured using two-proxies; debt to equity ratio and debt to asset ratio. Institutional investors are measured by percentage of institutional share ownership in the company and board of director is measured using the number of board of directors in the company. This research aims to investigate and analyse simultaneous and partial effects of debt equity ratio, asset turn over on value company at stated owned companies in subsector construction in Indonesia stock eschange. Sample of this research covers 4 out of 4 population listed construction companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Those samples have been selected using purposive sampling technique. This is a associative research using multiple linear regressions as an analysis method. Partially, only asset turn over effect the value of companies. Simultaneous test of multiple linear regressions indicates that debt equity ratio, asset turn over  perform significant effects on value company. The effect is 99,2 % and the rest 0,8 % has been affected by other factors.
