Abstract

Krian Regency is famous for its forest products, especially teak trees, whose valuable wood is often used to make furniture. This research aims to develop a process for making environmentally friendly paper from dried teak leaves using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The PAR approach was chosen so that the local community could be actively involved in every stage of the research, from collecting materials, processing teak leaves, to the paper making process. This method is implemented through several stages, namely problem identification, action planning, implementation, observation and evaluation. Other parts of teak trees, such as leaves, have not been fully utilized. Young teak leaves are widely used as food wrappers and to make natural dyes. Teak leaves are abundant in the dry season but are not widely used. Dried teak leaves are a source of natural fiber that is cheap and easy to obtain. This investigation will process dried teak leaf waste into processing paper. This activity uses the PAR method. Teak leaves are processed into pulp using NaOH and soda process. Art paper is made from paper pulp. Researchers must conduct more research to find out that teak leaves as a natural resource can increase value and sustainability. Products made from teak leaves can not only increase the income of people in the area, but can also be used to improve environmental sustainability. The community can help reduce excessive tree felling and maintain environmental balance by utilizing natural waste.

Abstract

People with mental disabilities, especially people with mental disorders (ODGJ) and individuals with Down Syndrome, face significant challenges in their daily lives. This journal explores the main problems they face. The purpose of this community service activity is to identify problems and solutions that must be taken for people with mental disabilities. The empowerment method used in this community service activity is the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method. This journal proposes several strategic efforts to overcome these problems. Increasing public awareness through education and counseling can help reduce stigma. Strengthening mental health services by increasing access and quality of services is essential. Support for inclusive education and vocational training for people with mental disabilities can improve their skills and job opportunities. Psychosocial support and family training are also very important to help care for family members with mental disabilities. Collaboration with various parties is also needed to create an inclusive and supportive environment for people with mental disabilities. They can live better and have equal opportunities to contribute to society through the right solutions.

Abstract

Budidaya lele telah menjadi salah satu alternatif yang menjanjikan dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas ekonomi, baik pada tingkat individu maupun komunitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas budidaya lele dalam meningkatkan pendapatan petani, menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan mendukung pembangunan ekonomi lokal. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS), menunjukkan hasil produksi yang optimal dengan pendapatan yang tinggi dan keuntungan yang substansial. Dampak sosial dari budidaya lele mencakup peningkatan kesejahteraan petani dan penguatan ketahanan pangan lokal. Penerapan praktik berkelanjutan dalam budidaya lele, seperti pengelolaan limbah dan efisiensi penggunaan air, menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat dilakukan secara ramah lingkungan. Budidaya lele menggunakan sistem Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) menawarkan potensi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas ekonomi. RAS mampu meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air, mengurangi limbah, dan menghasilkan pertumbuhan ikan yang lebih cepat. RAS dapat menjadi alternatif yang menjanjikan bagi pembudidaya lele untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan daya saing produk.
