Abstract

This study investigates the perceptions of bachelor and master students of Arabic Language Education towards the use of translation software in higher education, focusing at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with a questionnaire design and interviews to gain an in-depth understanding of students' views. The collected data underwent 4 stages of analysis: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The findings show that almost all students use software in translating and doing assignments, with varying portions of use. This happens because they feel helped by the software in doing various assignments easily and quickly, even though also realize that various software is very prone to errors. Students realize that the software allows them to be lazy to translate manually as well as the potential for dependence in its use. Consequently, the translation results generated by the software must be readjusted to the context of the sentence or paragraph being translated. The implication is the need for a cautious approach to the use of translation software in higher education, with an awareness of the limitations of such software, as well as the importance of manual language skill development.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan materi pembelajaran bahasa Arab online metode “Sebarkan” di lembaga kursus SAIN serta mengidentifikasi kelebihan dan kekurangannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data kualitatif Miles, Huberman dan Saldana yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Arab online metode “Sebarkan” di lembaga kursus SAIN berfokus pada kajian Sharaf dan Nahwu serta Baca Kitab Kuning sebagai penerapan materinya. Sistem pembelajarannya dilaksanakan secara terstruktur dan terjadwal. Sedangkan materi pembelajaran yang disusun oleh pendiri dan tim lembaga kursus SAIN dinilai sudah lengkap dan sistematis. Terdapat beberapa kelebihan dan kekurangan dari pembelajaran ini. Adapun solusi yang dapat peneliti tawarkan untuk mengatasi kekurangan tersebut adalah dengan mengadakan pertemuan online via Zoom atau Google Meet sesekali selama proses pembejaran dan mengadakan quiz sederhana di grup diskusi kelas. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Online, Bahasa Arab, Metode Sebarkan, Kursus SAIN.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine Al-Ghazali's Sufism thought and its correlation to education. This type of research uses library research with data and information collection methods. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by explaining Al-Ghazali's thoughts regarding irfani epistemology and its correlation to education. The results of this research show that in essence Al-Ghazali's Sufism teachings have a correlation with education where these teachings lead to the teachings of Al-Haqq (Allah SWT). Irfani Al Ghazali's thoughts provide valuable contributions in the educational context by emphasizing the integration of science and religion, character formation, values education, and active learning education. His holistic thinking and orientation towards moral and spiritual values can be the basis for developing education that is centered on the formation of quality and ethical individuals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi strategi yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran maharah qiraah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar. Pentingnya maharah qiraah sebagai fondasi dalam belajar bahasa Arab dan memahami Al-Qur'an menjadikan penelitian ini relevan, terutama dalam konteks perubahan metode pembelajaran akibat pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan guru serta siswa di kelas 5 SDIT Yaa Bunayya. Proses analisis data mengikuti model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana, yang mencakup kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang terstruktur, termasuk kegiatan pra-membaca, inti membaca, dan metode alternatif seperti bercerita dan menyambung cerita, efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan metodologi pembelajaran maharah qiraah di sekolah-sekolah lainnya, serta menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan yang inovatif dan interaktif dapat membawa dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan inspirasi bagi institusi pendidikan dalam mengimplementasikan strategi yang lebih efektif dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab dan membantu siswa memahami Al-Qur'an dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide a detailed description of the types of Imlaiyyah errors present in the abstracts of Master of Arabic Language Education theses submitted by students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a content approach to language errors and documentation as a data collection technique. The data sources for this research are the thesis abstracts of Master of Arabic Education students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, which serve as the primary sources, and articles and books on Imlaiyyah, which serve as the secondary sources. The study sample consisted of 30 randomly selected abstracts from e-theses published in 2024. The analysis of Imlaiyyah errors was conducted in accordance with the methodology proposed by Corder, which were then explained and evaluated. The findings indicate that Imlaiyyah errors persist in the thesis abstracts of Master of Arabic Language Education students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The types of Imlaiyyah errors identified include the following: (1) errors related to the writing of the hamzah, (2) errors related to the writing of the al, (3) errors related to the writing of the ta', (4) errors related to the writing of the hijaiyyah letter, and (5) errors related to the writing of the harakat. Additionally, several factors were found to affect the occurrence of these errors and the evaluation of their severity.

Abstract

Language laboratories are considered an effective medium for foreign language learning, facilitating teachers and learners to study more effectively. The modern language laboratories used today represent a new and innovative approach, incorporating various types of media with specific functions. This study aims to analyze the use of language laboratories for Istima' learning, the different tools available in language laboratories, students' perceptions of using language laboratories in Istima' learning, and the challenges or obstacles encountered during the use of language laboratories in Istima' learning. The research was conducted at Darul ‘Ulum Islamic University Lamongan. A qualitative descriptive method was used in this study. Data collection techniques included interviews and questionnaires. The findings of this study indicate that: 1) The tools used in the language laboratory for Istima' learning include earphones, LCD screens, projectors, the internet, Wi-Fi, YouTube, and e-learning platforms; 2) The utilization of language laboratories, media, and learning resources is primarily for delivering content and for evaluation or assignments in Istima' learning; 3) Students' perspectives indicate that the media and learning resources used in the language laboratory positively impact their enthusiasm and engagement in Istima' learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan teknologi dan media dalam mempersiapkan pendidikan di masa depan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis fenomena yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan teknologi dan media dalam pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah mengubah cara manusia bekerja, bersosialisasi, belajar, dan bermain. Teknologi pendidikan seperti perangkat lunak pembelajaran, platform online, dan aplikasi mobile telah membuka akses yang luas terhadap sumber belajar yang interaktif, sehingga siswa dapat belajar secara mandiri dan mengembangkan keterampilan yang relevan. Media digital juga memberikan peluang baru untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik melalui penggunaan gamifikasi, simulasi, dan konten multimedia. Namun, penggunaan teknologi dan media dalam pendidikan juga menghadirkan tantangan seperti kesenjangan akses dan kebutuhan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya sistem pendidikan yang lebih adaptif dan inovatif dalam memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi dan media untuk mempersiapkan pendidikan di masa depan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latar belakang pendidikan guru terhadap kompetensi pedagogik pengajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kanigoro Blitar. Penelitian ini, menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian ex-post facto. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah penyebaran angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 guru bahasa Arab di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kanigoro Blitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara latar belakang pendidikan guru terhadap kompetensi pedagogik yang diketahui dari uji korelasi memiliki nilai Rsquare sebesar 35,9% serta uji t memiliki nilai t hitung 0,005. Karena nilai dari uji t kurang dari 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh sebesar 35,9% antara latar belakang pendidikan guru terhadap kompetensi pedagogik pengajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kanigoro Blitar. Adapun dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan kepada guru mata pelajaran bahasa Arab untuk selalu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dengan cara menempuh jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi serta selalu meningkatkan skill dan kompetensi pedagogik yang dimiliki.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology such as Chatbots, virtual assistants, machine translation, natural language processing, GPT chat, You AI, and Google Bardi have had a significant impact on Arabic language learning for postgraduate students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The aim of this research is to identify the various AI applications used by students, as well as to evaluate the extent to which AI contributes to enriching their learning experience. The results of this research are that AI tools facilitate more interactive learning, encourage easy access to information, and increase efficiency in understanding Arabic. AI provides immediate feedback, helps translate text, and provides extensive reference resources, providing a richer and more affordable learning experience. Through its multifunctional role, AI has opened the door to a more personalized, adaptive and effective learning approach in mastering the Arabic language. This reflects the role of technology in supporting students in achieving a deeper understanding of the language, marking an important milestone in the development of Arabic language education at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the management of training and development programs for Arabic language teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Mamba’ul Ulum, Bungah, Gresik. This research was descriptive qualitative and collected through observation and interview. The data was analyzed through the three steps namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that only few of Arabic language teachers have appropriate academic qualifications, with details that there were 3 Arabic language teachers, but there was only one teacher who had a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language Education, while other teachers had a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Religious Education and Islamic Boarding School graduates. Then, the professional development program for Arabic teachers was held in the form of workshops and seminars related to learning twice in the last three years. However, the material presented only focuses on teaching materials according to the national curriculum, without any programs or activities to improve the ability of teachers to choose active, effective, and efficient learning methods. In conclusion, Arabic teacher qualifications are poorly managed at Madrasah Aliyah Mamba’ul Ulum, Bungah, Gresik, regardless of the fields’ quality of teachers or suitability.
