Abstract

AIDS is one of mayor health problem in the world, commonly caused by Human Immunodeficiancy virus 1 (HIV-1).  Reverse transcriptase is the target of the most widely used treatments for AIDS. One of the problem from treatments is drug resistant. This research aim to discover a new potential drug’s candidate from natural compound to inhibit activity of HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase. Top ten compounds from Specs Natural Products database as the result of virtual screening by MTIOpenScreen are docked and analyzed using Pyrx 0.8 software. Based on analysis and visualization of 2D and 3D sructure using LigPlus and PyMol softwares, known that ZINC57657 (-8 Kcal/mol)and common drug against HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase, Lamivudine (-5,6 Kcal/mol) equally capable to bind in several amino acids (Thr 131 and Gln 23) located in the active site of HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase.Keywords: Drug’s candidate; HIV 1 reverse transcriptase; natural compounds; virtual screening

Abstract

Prostate cancer is a cancer that attacks the prostate gland causing the death rate which is high enough. One of the causes of prostate cancer is the androgen receptor (AR) in the gland cells that initiates the formation of excess cell proliferation, thus causing prostate cancer. AR inhibitor that is known is antiandrogen (biculatamide and enzalutamide). This study aimed to test the 6-gingerol compound of ginger as an AR inhibitor drug candidate for prostate cancer using silico methode. The 3D structure of the 6-gingerol compound was taken from PubChem, the prediction of targeted protein used SwissTargetPrediction and Pharmapper, analysis and docking 6-gingerol and antiandrogens with AR using Pyrx software, visualization compounds and protein interactions using PyMOLsoftware. Visualization results shows that the interaction of 6-gingerol, biculatamide, and enzalutamide with AR have the same site. This proves that the 6-gingerol is potential as anAR inhibitor candidate.Keywords: 6-gingerol; prostate’s cancer; reverse docking

Abstract

Indonesia as Maritime Island has many water regions. Waterfall is one of the water region that has a large number of aquatic macroinvertebrates. The aim of this research is to collect and identify the various aquatic macroinvertebrates that can be found in several waterfalls in east Region of Malang, East Java. The research was carried out on September until November 2015 in six waterfalls: Coban Jahe, Coban Pelangi, Coban Trisula, Coban Kembar, Coban Ringin Gantung and Coban Pitu. Dragnet was used to collect the samplesof aquatic macroinvertebrates in some sampling point. The result of this research was found 38 families that belonged to 18 ordo in 6 different classes: Insecta, Oligochaeta, Gastropoda, Hirudinae, Turbellaria, and Crustacea. The information about the inventory of aquatic macroinvertebrates will give another suggestion for the local government to conserve this animals especially waterfall environment, not only as tourist area but also as a source of knowledge to do another research. Keywords: Aquatic macroinvertebrates; inventory; Malang; waterfalls

Abstract

In Zoology course, students often have difficulty to identify several invertebrates. Android-based learning media is currently an alternative way of solving some problems during the learning process. Therefore, android-based learning media that assist students to identify invertebrates was developed in this study. This research method used to research and development model (R&D) developed by Borg and Gall (1983) that consisting 10 steps, that are research and data collection; planning the educational product; developing the products preliminary form; initial field testing; the first revision of main product; main field testing; operational product revision; operational field testing; final product revision; and dissemination. The validation results from the material expert I, material expert II, and media experts were 96.6%; 94.3%; and 94.7%, respectively.  That results concluded I-Invertebrata was feasible for use in learning but requires minor revision. Furthermore, the results of quasi-experimental research that was analyzed by using analysis of covariance test showed the learning motivation of students who use I-Invertebrata is significantly higher than students who do not use I-Invertebrata.

Abstract

The business of laying hens is a business sector that provides a very large role in meeting the needs of animal protein and various industrial needs. This role cannot be replaced by vegetable protein sources. According to partners besides having great opportunities and benefits, laying hens also have problems, one of which is chicken manure. Mr. Hakim has tried several ways to remove the odor, such as raising the foundation of the cage so that it is not submerged by rainwater, spreading lime powder, and spraying EM4 liquid directly into chicken manure. But apparently not effective at reducing odors. One of the technical recommendations is the making of Biogas as an alternative energy source producing fuel substitutes for LPG gas, firewood, lighting and organic fertilizer. The results of community service activities to date have been the availability of biogas as an alternative energy producer for the use of biogas stoves and petromax lamps, as well as increased partner knowledge about biogas.Usaha sektor peternakan ayam ras petelur merupakan bidang usaha yang memberikan peranan sangat besar dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan protein hewani dan berbagai keperluan industri. Peranan ini tidak dapat di gantikan oleh sumber protein nabati. Menurut mitra disamping memiliki peluang dan manfaat yang besar, peternakan ayam ras petelur juga memiliki permasalahan salah satunya yaitu kotoran ayam tersebut. Bapak Hakim sudah mencoba beberapa cara untuk menghilangkan bau tersebut seperti, meninggikan pondasi kandang agar tidak terendam air hujan, menebar serbuk kapur, serta menyemprot cairan EM4 langsung ke kotoran ayam. Namun ternyata belum efektif mengurangi bau. Salah satu rekomendasi teknis adalah pembuatan Biogas sebagai salah satu sumber energi alternatif penghasil bahan bakar pengganti gas LPG, kayu bakar, penerangan dan pupuk organik. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian sampai saat ini adalah tersedianya biogas sebagai penghasil energi alternatif untuk pemakaian kompor biogas dan lampu petromak, serta peningkatan pengetahuan mitra tentang biogas yang meningkat.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar Reading dengan memvisualisasikan materi reading ESP ke dalam sebuah sebuah tayangan audio video reading untuk siswa Sekolah menegah kejuruan teknik Otomotif. Desain penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R & D) yang diusulkan oleh Borg dan Gall yaitu; (1) Pengumpulan data (2) perencanaan (3) Pengembangan Produk (4) Validasi Ahli (5) Uji Coba Produk (6) Evaluasi hasil uji coba (7) Revisi Produk (8) Uji Lapangan (9) Penyempurnaan Produk Akhir. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK NU Pace, subyek penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Inggris dari program keahlian teknik otomotif dan siswa kelas XI program keahlian teknik otomotif SMK NU Pace terdiri dari 30 siswa. Data tahap eksplorasi diperoleh melalui melakukan analisis dokumen, melakukan wawancara, dan menyebarkan kuesioner. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas materi reading dari buku pelajaran bahasa Inggris yang digunakan di SMK NU Pace. Temuan menunjukkan materi reading dari buku pelajaran di SMK NU Pace berisi materi bahasa Inggris umum dan kurang spesifik untuk digunakan bagi siswa program keahlian teknik otomotif. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa harus ada materi pembelajaran ESP-Reading yang  dikembangkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan guru dan siswa. Materi pembelajaran ESP-Reading dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan beberapa aspek yaitu teori ESP dan kebutuhan siswa. Kemudian, dievaluasi dan ditinjau melalui penilaian ahli dan diimplementasikan di kelas untuk menguji kelayakan materi. Hasil uji kelayakan menunjukan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar ESP-reading berbasis audio video dapat meningkatkan reading comprehension siswa kelas XI SMK NU Pace. Selanjutnya, produk ini dapat diterapkan sebagai bahan ajar untuk siswa program keahlian teknik otomotif.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di Era Milenial sekarang banyak yang menggunakan teknologi dalam membantu guru dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan analisis kebutuhan dan melihat peranan guru dalam pengembangan media Pembelajaran IPA. Metode penelitian yangdigunakan adalah metode diskritif kualitatif yaitu dengan cara melakukan analisi kebutuhan. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 03 Oktober 2019 dan 05 Oktober 2019. Tempat penelitian yaitu SMPN 4 Nganjuk Jawa Timur dan SMPN 7 Nganjuk Jawa Timur. Hasilnya guru belum berperan besar dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Hal ini membuat inovasi media pembelajaran mutlak dilakukan. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran IPA, masih perlu dikembangkan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di era modern ini sudah banyak menggunakan teknologi membantu guru dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan kebutuhan media pembelajaran ekonomi di SMA Kecamatan Nganjuk dan Kecamatan Loceret. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara dan pengisian angket oleh guru yang mengajar pelajaran ekonomi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 23 Agustus 2019 dan 19 September 2019. Tempat penelitian yaitu berada di SMA Negeri 1 Nganjuk dan SMA Negeri 1 Loceret. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa media yang dibutuhkan di SMA Negeri 1 Nganjuk berupa papan bergaris sedangkan di SMA Negeri 1 Loceret dibutuhkan media berupa kartu. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan media yang dibutuhkan masih sederhana.

Abstract

Application of Problem-Based Learning Model Based on Youtube Media to Improve Students’ Numeracy Literacy. In eighth grade, kids' limited numeracy literacy abilities make it difficult for them to understand science. One innovative solution is the project-based learning (PBL) approach, incorporating YouTube material. Applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy with the digital media platform YouTube, this research seeks to enhance students' numeracy literacy abilities. The participants in this Classroom Action Research (PTK) study are thirty eighth graders from class 8A. There were two rounds to this study. This research measured students' numeracy literacy abilities using data collected via interviews, observations, and tests, which were analysed descriptively. The study found that although students' average exam scores climbed by 14.5 points to 78.2 in Cycle II, they were 63.7 in Cycle I. Results show that eighth graders at SMP Negeri 2 Berbek may benefit from the Problem Based Learning approach, especially in science, when they use YouTube as a learning tool. The researchers recommend doing future experiments over a longer period to examine the persistent influence of YouTube-based PBL on students' numeracy, since the time constraint led to less than optimum results.
