AIDS is one of mayor health problem in the world, commonly caused by Human Immunodeficiancy virus 1 (HIV-1).Â Reverse transcriptase is the target of the most widely used treatments for AIDS. One of the problem from treatments is drug resistant. This research aim to discover a new potential drugâs candidate from natural compound to inhibit activity of HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase. Top ten compounds from Specs Natural Products database as the result of virtual screening by MTIOpenScreen are docked and analyzed using Pyrx 0.8 software. Based on analysis and visualization of 2D and 3D sructure using LigPlus and PyMol softwares, known that ZINC57657 (-8 Kcal/mol)and common drug against HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase, Lamivudine (-5,6 Kcal/mol) equally capable to bind in several amino acids (Thr 131 and Gln 23) located in the active site of HIV 1 Reverse Transcriptase.Keywords: Drugâs candidate; HIV 1 reverse transcriptase; natural compounds; virtual screening

Indonesia as Maritime Island has many water regions. Waterfall is one of the water region that has a large number of aquatic macroinvertebrates. The aim of this research is to collect and identify the various aquatic macroinvertebrates that can be found in several waterfalls in east Region of Malang, East Java. The research was carried out on September until November 2015 in six waterfalls: Coban Jahe, Coban Pelangi, Coban Trisula, Coban Kembar, Coban Ringin Gantung and Coban Pitu. Dragnet was used to collect the samplesof aquatic macroinvertebrates in some sampling point. The result of this research was found 38 families that belonged to 18 ordo in 6 different classes: Insecta, Oligochaeta, Gastropoda, Hirudinae, Turbellaria, and Crustacea. The information about the inventory of aquatic macroinvertebrates will give another suggestion for the local government to conserve this animals especially waterfall environment, not only as tourist area but also as a source of knowledge to do another research.Â Keywords: Aquatic macroinvertebrates; inventory; Malang; waterfalls

PENGEMBANGAN BUKU AJAR EVOLUSI BERBASIS PENELITIAN UNTUK MAHASISWA S1 PENDIDIKAN BIOLOGI UNIVERSITAS JEMBER Rizka Elan Fadilah; Mohamad Amin; Umie Lestari

The aim of this research is to develop the evolution textbook based on research for undergraduate students in Jember University. Result of development research is a textbook draft which it is validated. Validation process conducted by matter experts, instructional media experts, practitioner, and individual testing by nine students. Validation results of matter expert is 92%, in very valid categories. Validation result of instructional media experts was 92%, in very valid categories. Validation results practitions was 74% in valid enough categories. Individual testing results by students was 81% in valid enough categories. Revision based on validation results in quantitaty and qualitative data.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar evolusi berbasis penelitian untuk mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Jember. Hasil pengembangan berupa draft buku ajar yang selanjutnya divalidasi. Proses validasi melibatkan ahli materi evolusi, ahli media pembelajaran, dan praktisi pembelajaran. Hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 92% dengan kategori sangat valid, hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 92% dengan kategori sangat valid, dan hasil validasi praktisi pembelajaran sebesar 74% dengan kategori cukup valid. Draft buku ajar selanjutnya diujicobakan secara perseorangan terhadap sembilan mahasiswa. Hasil uji coba perseorangan mencapai 81% dan termasuk dalam kategori cukup valid. Data hasil validasi dan uji coba berupa data kualitiatif dan kuantitatif digunakan sebagai dasar untuk merevisi buku ajar.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan buku ajar evolusi berbasis penelitian untuk mahasiswa S1 Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Jember pada Materi Spesiasi yang berdasar pada enam tahapan awal model pengembangan Dick and Carey. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, angket dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa (1) capaian pembelajaran adalah mampu menguasai dan menggunakan konsep,prinsip, dan prosedur kajian evolusi (2) materi yang disajikan dalam proses diskusi kelas kurang aplikatif dan tidak melibatkan perkembangan IPTEK di bidang Evolusi (3) pemahaman konsep evolusi mahasiswabelum sampai pada tahap molekuler (4) buku evolusi yang digunakan bertahun terbit lama dan kurang memberikan contoh yang bersifat kontekstual dan (5) belum terbiasa menggunakan pendekatan molekuler. Hasil penelitian ini digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan buku ajar Evolusi berbasis penelitian bagi mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Jember.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the world of education. The impact that can be felt is that all teaching and learning activities are carried out online or online without meeting face to face, this is because all activities are limited which aims to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. This study aims to find out what impact the Covid-19 pandemic has on the learning development of SMAN 3 Jember students, where later this research will produce information or an overview of the impact of online learning on the development of student learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method, in which the research procedure will use descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from related parties. The data collected in this study include primary and secondary data. Data collection was carried out by direct observation and interviews with related parties, namely students, BK teachers, nad parents.

Technology is the application of behavioral and natural sciences and other knowledge in a systematic way to solve human problems. Technology that develops rapidly from time to time makes technology itself an important part of advancing a school. In the world of education technology is something that is very much needed. This technology is expected to be able to make the world of education in Indonesia able to compete with other developing countries. But on the other hand, these developments are not necessarily in accordance with the wishes or ideals of the nation. There are various impacts caused by technological developments. This research aims to determine the various impacts of technological developments on children's development. The research method used in this study is to find data by observing the object of observation ,as well as by looking for data sources from various literatures such as journals, books and the internet.

The library is a supporting facility in the world of education that has various benefits, one of which is as an information center covering various sciences. In running a library there is a library effectiveness that can be supported by several factors. In the 5.0 era the effectiveness of conventional libraries has experienced a shift due to the existence of virtual libraries. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of conventional libraries in the 5.0 era by using a sample of SMPN 1 Cluring educational institutions. This study uses observation and interviews in collecting data and using descriptive qualitative methods in the preparation of articles. The data obtained indicate that the effectiveness of conventional libraries at SMPN 1 Clearing has decreased due to technological advances that create products that are more accessible. the industrial revolution 5.0 affects the effectiveness of conventional libraries as learning resources and information centers. This causes students to prefer to use virtual libraries because it is more practical and wider information can be obtained from various sources, so that the effectiveness of conventional libraries based on librarian activities decreases.

The rapid development of science and technology provides an alternative in learning, one of which is the use of PhET media. The use of PhET or Physics Education Technology, a media that contains physics learning animations. So that the material studied is easier to understand and looks more real. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using PhET as a learning medium for Basic Physics 1 course. This research is aimed at undergraduate students in Science Education at the University of Jember who are taking Basic Physics I course. The method used in this research is quantitative data analysis in the form of a survey using questionnaire tests through Google Form media, as well as using literature studies. The results of the study stated that the use of PhET as a learning medium was considered effective enough to be applied and could improve students' understanding of the material.

This study aims to abserve student learning activities using the Discoverry learning learning model, with thwe consideration that this study seeks to determine the effect of a variable and take a sample of three classes. The subject is the students of SMP Negeri 3 jember. Based on the results of the sampling, it was found that the discovery learning model has a high level of effectiveness in 9th grade students, namely 6 out of 10 or 60%. It can be said that the Discovery Learnung learning model can improve students’ critical thinking skills and affect student learning outcomes and have a positive impact on student development

This study aims to determine how influential internet technology is on the character development of students in a junior high school institution conducted at SMPN 3 Jember. In this study we use qualitative methods. Internet technology has a very big influence on all aspects. One aspect of internet technology is information technology where the existence of internet technology in information makes the era of globalization where the era is very easily accessible resulting in vulnerability, especially to the character development of junior high school students. It can be said that if information through internet technology is very easily accessible, it will have a bad effect on character development. The qualitative method used in this research is the study of literature, and a sociological approach and the application of behavioral psychology theory.
