Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya  pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara kelompok siswa yang diberi perlakuan model Problem Based Learning dengan kelompok siswa yang diberi perlakuan dengan model Discovery Learning pada pada materi Usaha dan Energi  kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan equivalent pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa adalah tes esai yang telah divalidasi oleh validator. Persentase rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang mengikuti model Problem Based Learning adalah 68,5% yang berkriteria kreatif dan persentase rata-rata yang mengikuti model Discovery Learning  adalah 59,78% yang berkriteria kreatif. Hasil perhitungan statistik dari pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t didapatkan harga thitung sebesar 2,55 dan ttabel pada taraf  5% dan dk = 40 adalah 2,02. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang mengikuti model Problem Based Learning dengan model Discovery Learning pada materi  Usaha dan Energi kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Palu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji adanya pengaruh strategi rotating trio exchange dalam model pembelajaran aktif terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Palu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen kuasi dengan desain “The Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Design”. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pemahaan konsep fisika dalam bentuk esai yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, diperoleh rerata skor pretest pemahaman konsep fisika siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 12,86 dengan standar deviasi 2,44, untuk rerata skor posttest adalah 20,77 dengan standar deviasi 2,49. Untuk kelas kontrol diperoleh rerata skor pretest 12,68 dengan standar deviasi 2,03, sedangkan untuk rerata skor posttest adalah 18,04 dengan standar deviasi 2,38. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik statistik uji-t dua pihak dengan taraf signifikan α=0,05. Diperoleh  nilai hasil thitung = 2,77 dan ttabel = 2,02. Ini berarti bahwa nilai thitung  berada diluar daerah penerimaan Ho. Hasil ini menunjukkan ada perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, terdapat pengaruh strategi rotating trio exchange dalam pembelajaran aktif terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Palu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of learning with a contextual approach on students' understanding of physics concepts. The hypothesis proposed in this study was that there was an effect of contextual approach learning on understanding physics concepts in class VIII SMP 19 Palu. The population of this study were all eight graders of SMP 19 Palu. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling with the research sample being class VIIIC as the control class and class VIIIA as the experimental class. The research instrument was in the form of a concept understanding test that has been validated by an expert validator. The results of data analysis from the score range between (0-100) obtained an average score of 63.13 for the experimental class with a standard deviation of 0.97 and 55.00 fpr the control class with a standard deviation of 2.12. Based on the hypothesis test, it showed that tcount > ttable was 6.46 > 1.67, with a significance level of =0.05, thus H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. The test results proved that there was an influence on understanding the concept of physics between classes that take part in learning with a contextual approach and students who take part in conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' ability to interpret thermodynamic process graphs. The instrument used was a thermodynamic graph test question as many as 13 items in the form of reasoned multiple choice. The methodology used was qualitative. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Model Palu in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The subjects of this study were students of class XII IPA 4. Interview respondents were selected based on the results of the analysis of students' answers. The results of the analysis show that the students' abilities are in the very low category with an average percentage of 33.68%. The ability to interpret symbols is 42.01%, connecting observations is 31.77%, finding patterns is 30.21%, and determining the amount is 30.73%. Students' difficulties in interpreting graphs, namely, considering the graph as an object, confusion in interpreting the position of the direction of the arrow in the graph, not knowing the meaning of the symbols of magnitude in the graph, having difficulty interpreting the area under the graph, unable to distinguish graphs, and unable to see the question as a whole.

Abstract

Problem solving cannot be separated from learning Physics. This study aims to determine the ability of physics problems solving on non-uniform linear motion topic. This research was descriptive research. The research subjects were 10 students of class X IPA 2. Data obtained through student ability tests and interviews. The results showed that the students' ability to solve physics problems on non-uniform linear motion topic was included in the good category with an average value of 75.62 with the percentage of each indicator, which were 77.50% the ability to translate sentence questions into symbols, 75.00% ability to understand the formula that will be used to answer the questions, 71.67% ability to use formulas to answer questions and 78.33% ability to use units correctly.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the improvement of learning outcomes by implementing the cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) of students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bolano. This research was action research carried out cyclically and refers to the research design of the Kemmis & Mc. Taggart. This research had four stages, planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The types of data obtained were qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data was obtained from teaching and learning activities in the form of observations. Quantitative data were learning outcomes obtained by tests. Learning outcomes of the cycle I got classical learning completeness of 21.21%, classical absorption of 55.95%, teacher activity was in the sufficient category with a percentage of 73.52%, and student activity was in the sufficient category at a percentage of the cycle of 75%. Cycle II obtained classical learning completeness of 90.90%, classical absorption 80%, teacher activity was in the very good category with a percentage of 91.67%, and student activity was in the very good category at a percentage of 92.77%. Based on the performance indicators, the conclusion is that implementing the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bolano.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine whether there was an effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model using the puzzle question card media on the physics learning outcomes of junior high school students. This type of research was the quasi-experimental with the equivalent pretest posttest group design. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. The research sample was 25 students of class VIII B as the experimental group and 25 students of class VIII E as the control group. The instrument for learning physics was in the form of multiple-choice test questions. The results test showed the average value of the experimental group was 20.02 with a standard deviation of 2.73 and in the control class, the average value was 16.82 with a standard deviation of 2.81. Hypothesis test t-test (two-tailed) obtained tcount = 4.08 and ttable = 2.02 at the level of significance = 0.05. It shows that tcount is outside the H0 acceptance region. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model using the puzzle question card media on the physics learning outcomes of junior high school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop instruments for monitoring and evaluating practicum services in physics laboratories. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and observation. Respondents in this study were lecturers, PLP, and students who were involved in carrying out practicums in physics laboratories. The instruments developed in this study were a satisfaction questionnaire for laboratory leaders, a student response questionnaire for laboratory staff services, a student satisfaction questionnaire for practicum services, a student response questionnaire for laboratory facilities and infrastructure, and a response questionnaire for practicum modules. The trial results show that the developed physics laboratory practicum service instrument has good quality and is suitable for use as a laboratory monitoring and evaluation instrument.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan intuisi siswa SMA dalam memecahkan masalah fisika berdasarkan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah yang dikemukakan oleh Polya ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Mia1 SMA Negeri 1 Sindue Tombusabora. Responden ini terdiri dari 12 responden penelitian, yang terdiri dari 4 orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan fisika tinggi (2 perempuan dan 2 laki-laki), 4 orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan fisika sedang (2 perempuan dan 2 laki-laki), dan 4 orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan fisika rendah (2 perempuan dan 2 laki-laki). Soal yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini adalah materi suhu dan kalor. Butir soal yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal pemecahan masalah bertipe verbal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada penelitian ini tidak adanya perbedaan pemecahan masalah yang dilakukan oleh siswa perempuan dan laki-laki. Kategori intuisi yang digunakan siswa yaitu kategori intuisi afirmatori dengan jenis kognisi intrisic certainly. Dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan gender tidak berpengaruh dalam proses memecahkan masalah fisika.

Abstract

Thinking styles and metacognition are related as they both have the same space in assessing one’s own abilities. Metacognition and thinking styles have an important role in unlocking the potential of physics problem solving. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between metacognition, thinking styles (particularly those proposed by Gregorc), and physics problem solving. The study involved a cohort of 364 students who were pursuing a physics degree at Tadulako University. The results indicated that metacognition behavior exhibited in the process of solving physics problems was classified as high category. The most dominant thinking style was abstract sequential, while the least was concrete random. The data analysis showed a significant difference in metacognition behavior between groups categorized by thinking style. Specifically, the concrete sequential (SK) group exhibited a significant difference with the abstract random (AA) group. These results provide further understanding of how metacognition and thinking styles play a role in physics problem solving. This study contributes significantly to comprehending the connection between metacognition, thinking styles, and the successful resolution of physics problems. The insights gained provide prospects for formulating more efficient physics learning methods that will ameliorate students' aptitude in tackling physics problems.
