Abstract

Thriving technology, information, and communication drive mobile health development to induce changes in health service delivery. The Android-based SIMADU application is a substitute for the manual and conventional administration system. It encourages Posyandu cadres to use the android-based application, which is considered more productive, and thereby making Posyandu activities more efficient. This research is discussing the Android-based SIMADU application. Method used is a descriptive survey, carried out in Posyandu Flamboyan, Mawar, Cempaka, and Kenanga, all addressed in Kukusan Beji Depok West Java. Data collection techniques are observation and questionnaire distribution. The sample is 25 cadres from Posyandus in Kukusan Beji. The results is 78.1% of Posyandu cadres advocate the use of the SIMADU application. 68.8% of Posyandu cadres entail an engineer who can assist them to use the SIMADU application. The SIMADU application features are attested to be effective to elevate Posyandu cadres’ confidence by 71.9%. The conclusion, use of technology and information in Posyandu may breed a significant change in health service delivery. The SIMADU application can help Posyandu cadres in Posyandu activities, e.g., recording and documenting the data of families, pregnant women, babies, toddlers, and fertile couples. Abstract

Rumah sakit harus menetapkan regulasi dan proses untuk mendukung pelibatan pasien dalam proses asuhan sebagai upaya memfasilitasi keterlibatan pasien secara aktif. Adanya keterbatasan interaksi antara perawat dan pasien secara aktif menjadi sebuah tantangan tersendiri di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan fungsi manajemen kepala ruangan dengan pelibatan pasien dalam asuhan keperawatan di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional terhadap 238 perawat dengan menggunakan kuesioner online. Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan korelasi Pearson menunjukan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara fungsi manajemen kepala ruangan dengan pelibatan pasien (p < 0,001). Kepala ruangan memiliki peranan penting dalam meningkatkan pelibatan pasien dalam asuhan keperawatan di masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan melakukan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, ketenagaan, pengarahan, dan pengawasan secara optimal.

Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan bagian penting dalam proses transfer informasi kesehatan bagi setiap individu. Kondisi keterbatasan pendengaran pada masyarakat tuli menimbulkan kebutuhan media informasi kesehatan yang dirancang khusus sehingga mereka mendapatkan hak informasi kesehatan yang sama dengan masyarakat lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas video edukasi kesehatan dalam membantu penyandang tuna rungu memahami masalah kesehatan kronis seperti penyakit Diabetes Mellitus dan penyakit Hipertensi sebagai upaya transmisi informasi kesehatan yang dikemas dalam bentuk video edukasi kesehatan. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment tanpa control dengan bentuk kegiatan menggunakan evaluasi peningkatan pengetahuan pre dan post intervensi. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 48 orang. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat disabilitas tuna rungu khususnya pada tahap perkembangan dewasa muda sampai dengan dewasa akhir mengenai penyakit kronik Hipertensi dan Diabetes Melitus. Pemanfaatkan media edukasi berbasis teknologi video menyesuaikan bahasa dan kebutuhan masyarakat Tuna Rungu sehingga pesan lebih mudah dipahami serta lebih mudah disampaikan. Hasil uji perbedaan rata-rata pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah sosialisasi dengan menggunakan uji wilcoxon didapatkan p value= 0,000 (α= 0,05). Strategi edukasi bagi masyarakat disabilitas dapat dilaksanakan dengan metode pemanfaatan teknologi dan sosialisasi yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi mereka. Video edukasi kesehatan ini dapat dikembangkan lagi untuk pencegahan berbagai risiko masalah kesehatan bagi penyandang tuna rungu diseluruh wilayah Indonesia.

Abstract

Introduction: Improving patient safety attitudes will provide quality care and a safe environment and practice for patients. The attitude of nurses towards patient safety in hospitals still requires improvement and improvement efforts. The assessment of nurses’ attitudes toward patient safety can be used as a reference for preparing programs to maintain quality and patient safety in hospitals. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship between head nurses’ nursing informatics competencies and nurses’ characteristics and attitudes towards patient safety. Methods: A cross-sectional study involving 251 nurses at a hospital in Jakarta was conducted. The Nursing Informatics Competency Assessment Tool and the Safety Attitudes Questionnaire with demographic information were used for data collection. Results: Overall, nurses’ attitudes towards patient safety showed a median value of 141 (80.18% of the maximum value), and the mean value of head nurses’ nursing informatics competency was 99.53 (66.35% of the maximum score). This study showed a significant relationship between head nurses’ nursing informatics competencies and nurses’ attitudes toward patient safety. Nursing informatics competencies, computer literacy, informatics literacy, and informatics management skill significantly influenced patient safety attitudes (p<0.05). Conclusion: Nursing informatics competence is the basis for nurses to respond to the development of health management information systems and technology in modern healthcare environments. Abstract

This research aims to optimize the application of primary nursing care methods, which positively impact nursing care services for patients and nurses. This research method uses a case study approach with interviews, observations, document reviews, and surveys and uses fishbone analysis for problem analysis. The research results show that the implementation of primary nursing care methods in hospitals can be optimized by increasing human resources (all nursing staff) in terms of understanding and increasing knowledge, which is updated regularly, improving the organizing, monitoring, and evaluating functions of room heads and increasing the role of primary nurses as preceptors. In conclusion, increasing nursing human resources in understanding and expanding regularly updated knowledge can maximize the application of direct nursing care. Abstract

Penyakit tidak menular (PTM) merupakan komorbid yang akan memperberat kondisi kesehatan seseorang saat terserang COVID-19. Kader kesehatan berperan penting dalam meminimalkan dampak tersebut namun masih sedikit informasi yang tersedia mengenai kebutuhan kader untuk dapat mengoptimalkan peran tersebut.  Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan kader untuk membantu masyarakat dengan PTM di wilayah Banten saat pandemi COVID-19 di daerah yang berpotensi bencana. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan melakukan Focus Group Discussions (FGD) pada 43 orang kader dari dua desa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan masing-masing tiga kali, sepanjang bulan November 2019 dan 2020, di dua desa.  Data dianalisis dengan metode konten analisis. Hasil: Didapatkan 3 tema kebutuhan kader, yaitu: (1) Kader butuh dukungan dari keluarga, tokoh masyarakat, dan tenaga kesehatan; (2) Masyarakat kurang sadar kesehatan; (3) Masyarakat lebih percaya pengobatan tradisional dan belum memiliki Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS). Diskusi: Kader adalah orang pilihan yang bersedia membantu tetangganya tanpa pamrih. Namun, tidak mudah agar dapat dipercaya masyarakat. Pembekalan kader dengan ilmu keperawatan diperlukan untuk peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat. Kesimpulan: Kader perlu dukungan berbagai pihak agar dapat melakukan perannya dengan baik. Pengetahuan dari mulai deteksi dini sampai penanganan dengan pendekatan budaya merupakan bekal yang penting untuk kader dalam mengatasi PTM di masa pandemi COVID-19. Hal ini merupakan salah satu strategi untuk mencegah risiko terjadinya dan akibat dari PTM dan terpapar COVID-19. Keterlibatan tokoh masyarakat, persepsi positif dan pengetahuan tentang PTM dan pandemi COVID-19 menjadi penentu keberhasilan program pemerintah dalam pengendalian PTM di masa Pandemi ini.Kata kunci: bencana, COVID-19, kader kesehatan, pengetahuan, penyakit tidak menular.Analysis of the Need for Health Cadres in Overcoming Non-Communicable Diseases During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Banten ABSTRACTNon-communicable diseases (NCDs) are comorbidities that will worsen a person's health condition when they are attacked by the COVID-19. Health cadres play an important role in minimizing such impact, but little information is available regarding the needs of cadres to optimize this role. Objective: This research aims to identify the needs of cadres to assist communities with NCDs in Banten region during the COVID-19 pandemic in areas with potential disasters. Methods: The research is qualitative by conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGD) on 43 cadres from two villages. Data were collected three times each, in November 2019 and November 2020, in two villages. Data were analyzed by using content analysis method. Results: There were 3 themes of cadre needs, namely: (1) Cadres need support from families, community leaders, and health workers; (2) People were less aware of health; (3) People believed more in traditional medicine and did not have health insurance from the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS). Discussion: Cadres were chosen people who are willing to help their neighbors selflessly. However, it is not easy to be trusted by the community. It is necessary to provide cadres with nursing knowledge to improve public health. Conclusion: Cadres need support from various parties to play their roles well. Knowledge from early detection to handling with a cultural approach is important in overcoming NCDs during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is one of the strategies to prevent the risk of incidence and consequences of NCDs and exposure to COVID-19. The involvement of community leaders, positive perceptions and knowledge about NCDs and the COVID-19 pandemic are the determinants of the success of government programs in controlling NCDs during this Pandemic.Keywords: disaster, COVID-19, health cadres, knowledge, non-communicable diseases.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of rounds to improve nurses' knowledge at Fatmawati General Hospital. The research method used is a case study. The study's results showed that optimization of the implementation of rounds was carried out in stages, where 12.5% ​​of rooms were found to have implemented nursing rounds but were not yet optimal. Nurses' knowledge was found to have increased through questionnaires related to the definition, implementation of rounds, the role of round officers, and post-rounds rising from 60% to 80%-100%. When viewed from the accuracy of the implementation of rounds, data on the accuracy of rounds was obtained at 90%-95%. In conclusion, there was an increase in nurses' knowledge at Fatmawati General Hospital after the implementation of rounds. Keywords: Knowledge, Nurses, Nursing Rounds

Abstract

ABSTRACT Psychological problems are prone to occur in nurses and can be prevented by increasing nurse resilience. Nurse resilience can help overcome psychological problems and affect the quality of nursing care provided to clients. This scientific work aims to implement evidence-based nursing management practice (EBP), namely the application of the Zinger model to the nursing management direction function in improving the resilience of nurses who serve in the inpatient room. Measurement of the level of resilience using the Adult Resilience Measure-Revised (ARM-R) questionnaire before and after implementation. The results of measuring the level of resilience of nurses found that there were differences in the level of resilience, especially in the low and medium categories. There was a 4.5% decrease in the level of resilience in the low category from 22.7% to 18.2%, while in the moderate category there was an increase of 4.6% from 54.5% to 59.1%. Future research is expected to continue the application of the Zinger Model to improve nurse resilience with more interventions and for a longer time, 1-5 months for positive results. Keywords: Inpatient, Nurse, Resilience, Zinger Model  ABSTRAK Masalah psikologis rentan terjadi pada perawat dan dapat dapat dicegah dengan meningkatkan resiliensi perawat. Resiliensi perawat dapat membantu mengatasi masalah psikologis dan mempengaruhi kualitas asuhan keperawatan yang diberikan kepada klien. Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan praktik manajemen keperawatan berbasis bukti/ Evidence Based Practice (EBP) yaitu penerapan Zinger model pada fungsi pengarahan manajemen keperawatan dalam meningkatkan resiliensi perawat yang berdinas di ruang rawat inap. Pengukuran tingkat resiliensi menggunakan kuesioner Adult Resilience Measure-Revised (ARM-R) sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan implementasi. Hasil pengukuran tingkat resiliensi perawat didapatkan ada perbedaan pada tingkat resiliensi terutama kategori rendah dan sedang. Ada penurunan 4,5% tingkat resiliensi kategori rendah dari 22,7% menjadi 18,2%, sedangkan pada kategori sedang ada peningkatan 4,6% dari 54,5% menjadi 59,1%. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat melanjutkan penerapan Zinger Model untuk meningkatkan resiliensi perawat dengan intervensi yang lebih banyak dan dalam waktu yang lebih lama, 1-5 bulan untuk hasil yang positif. Kata Kunci: Perawat, Rawat Inap, Resiliensi, Zinger Model.
