Abstract

Negative news about the migrant workers abroad so much grown invarious media that makes a job as a migrant worker as a scary thing for somepeople. to overcome this we need a way or solution in order to work as migrantworkers are no longer considered to be a scary thing. efforts that can be done by.Mainstay Partners Achievement Padang as Prospective migrant recruiter includemaking communication to the public. In the communication must have certainstrategies in order to achieve the desired goal. This study aims to determine howthe communication strategy of PT. Andalan Mitra Prestasi Padang in theIndonesian Labor candidate recruiting and what are the factors - factorssupporting and inhibiting the Indonesian Labor candidate recruiting.This research was conducted in PT. Andalan Mitra Prestasi Padang Jl. No.Lt. S.Parman. 81-82B Padang, West Sumatra. This study used a qualitativedescriptive method using a model of interactive data analysis and HubermenMiles. Data - the data obtained were then processed for reduction, served toproduce a general conclusion.From the results of the study showed that the communication strategy byPT. Andalan Mitra Prestasi Padang Achievement in recruiting candidates amongmigrant workers through persuasive and educative approach, cooperation,coordinative and integrative, the Internet, and flyers. The supporting factors inrecruiting candidates TKIs is the existence of the Mobilization Permit (SIP), JobOrder and Demand Letter, facilities and infrastructure such as service vehicles, theinfo TKI successful, communicators who have credibility in the field ofemployment and placement workers and inhibiting factors, among others, is thepresence of negative issues, public ignorance, and lack of family consent.Keyword: communication, communication strategy, and recruitment

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is very important in the interaction of a goodrelationship between the nurse with the elderly in a nursing home. Through interpersonalcommunication can nurses know how to build a good relationship with the elderly, causing asense of comfort for the elderly in old spends his days in a nursing home. The purpose of thisstudy is to explain how the effectiveness of interpersonal communication with the elderly andnurses know what interpersonal communication disorders among nurses with elderly in anursing home. The usefulness of this study are expected to contribute significantly to thedevelopment of science communication and serve as an input for further research.This research was conducted in a nursing home UPT PSTW Khusnul Khotimah Riauprovince, located on the road Kaharudin Nasution Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptivequalitative research methods that describe and interpret the data. Informants in this studywere nurses, the elderly, and the head of a nursing home by using techniques aimedinformants, purposiv. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, anddocumentation.The results of this study indicate that braided interpersonal communication by thenurse with the elderly has been operating effectively in a nursing home UPT PSTW KhusnulKhotimah. The problems faced by elderly nursing elderly is a condition that is affected byvarious factors such as the elderly who are old age, the presence of the illness, the elderlywho are already emotionally unstable, elderly and their families feel left out so it is placed ina nursing home, which causes the elderly feel comfortable in his old days spent in a nursinghome. The effectiveness of interpersonal communication conducted with elderly nurse is ableto evoke the spirit, motivation, self-confidence and the elderly, in order to feel comfortable inelderly nursing home by considering five aspects, namely openness, empathy, positiveattitude, being supportive, and equality. Impaired interpersonal communication betweennurses with elderly include three things: physical disorders, psychological disorders, andsemantic disorders.Keywords : Interpersonal, Communication, Nursing Home

Abstract

Based on the data that researchers get from mall SKA Pekanbaru, the number ofvisitors who came into SKA Family Card decreased each year. From the year 2010,there were 1167 people joined in SKA Family Card. Then in 2011 decreased up to 972people who joined in SKA Family Card next year, up to 607 people who had gatheredin SKA Family Card. Objective of this study was to determine the strategy message, thestrategy of public and media strategies used in the dissemination of Mal SKAPekanbaru cards for family visitors.This research uses descriptive qualitative, and techniques of data collection areclassified through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informans in this studytotaled 9 people taken based on accidental and purposive sampling. Models ofinteractve data analysis researchers use to decribe research results in technical dataanalysis to verify the validity of data and research using participatory extensiontechniques and triangulation.The result about the communication strategy of mall SKA Pekanbaru aboutstrategy audience is people at Pekanbaru with middle class and above. Media used byMall SKA Pekanbaru is print media like Riau Pos, Tribun Pekanbaru, Pekanbaru Posdan Metro Riau, social media like facebook and twitter, sms broadcast and print mediacampaign like banner and flyer. Contents of the messages used in the publishing SKAfamily Card is informative and persuasive messages. Several contributing factors is thecompany’s commitment in all promotional programs, many visitors who come everydayand many are conducting transactions at the mall SKA Pekanbaru. Factor that do notsupport is the very low level of tenant participation in promotional programs.Keywords : Strategy, Communication, Publication

Abstract

Tourist visits to the Riau province both foreign and domestic each year has increased but has not reached the desired target by the Riau provincial government of 60,000 tourists in 2013. Riau provincial government for several years is quite heavily promoting tourism through cooperation with Riau Tourism Board for example by initiated an event called Visit Riau, publish tourism magazine named Visit Riau and follow the promotion of tourism to the various countries to promote tourism in Riau province. The purpose of this study is to determine the communication target recognition, assessment purposes communication message, the selection of communication media and the role of communicators in the communications made by Riau Tourism Board to promote tourism in the Riau Province. This study is a qualitative research that do not use statistical analysis procedures. All information of the study was obtained from informants as many as 5 people from Riau Tourism Board officials namely (Head, Deputy Head, Secretary and staff), using purposive sampling. The study states that the identification of the target audience is divided into domestic and foreign tourists. Assessment destination communication message, Riau Tourism Board to use the media that emphasizes the content of the message, in form of : a) the Malay Cultural Festival, Riau Expo and Expo Pekanbaru, Riau Visit tourism and bulletins to get the attention and interest of tourists to come to visit, perform dances and other art of Riau Culture (visualization), and invites businesses like hotel owners, travel agents to participate in the increase of tourist visits (action). Communication media used by Riau Tourism Board are through: Pekanbaru Riau Expo and Expo as well as exhibitions and expo outside Riau Province such as Jakarta Fair, Medan Fair, arts and cultural performances such as Cultural Festival. Using printed mass media such as Visit Riau bulletin, Indonesia Wonderful Bulletin and Pekanbaru Tourism Enchantment. Abstract

Hemophiliacs in Pekanbaru, with all the limitations that they have still capable to perform and complete their daily chores that require physical activity. For hemophiliacs, doing physical activity just like people in general will be harder, because when they do those physical activities, the joints in some parts of their body will ache and raise the bruises, this is caused by a lack of blood clotting factor. This study aims to determine the components of perceptual , conceptual component , the component attitudes, and communication experience hemophiliacs in PekanbaruThis study uses qualitative research methodology by conducting phenomenological approach. Subjects in this study consist of five people. Data collection techniques are grouped into three sections, which are; in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. This study uses the Miles and Hubermen model of interactive data analysis system, by using the validity checking technique of the data through the extension of participation and triangulation.The result of this study showed that people with hemophilia in Pekanbaru if we look from the positive side of its perceptual components are just like people in general, they are cheerful, comfortable with their environment and there is no sense of shame, while its negative side is they sometimes less grateful and feel embarrassed. In the view of the positive side of its conceptual components, hemophilia sufferers tend to be responsible, humorous, rarely feel sad and often confident, but its negative side can be seen from a more reserved attitude. Then, focusing on the attitude component, the positive side which is owned by hemophiliacs is their friendly act, pleasant and helpful, but the fear of being alienated is the negative side of the patient. Meanwhile, based on the experience of communication, hemophiliacs in Pekanbaru have been able to implement a good and pleasant communication such as a sense of pride and pleasure, acceptance and friendship and more attention from the family, but there is a little less pleasant communication experience such as a fear of the opposite sex, discrimination and verbal or non-verbal harassment.Keywords: Self-concept, phenomenology, and hemophili

Abstract

Education in indonesia is growing. Neither the national school, or international schools are competing to provide best quality. When the foreign teachers having a new culture, then the teachers should do adaptation process both in terms of teaching and learning environment in their daylife. This study aims to determine the stages of the adaptations made by foreign teachers, and what are the barriers that they face when adapting to the new environment. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, which gives an overview of the situation and analyze the data based on the field survey. The data source consists of primary data and secondary data. Collecting data using interviews, documentation and field observations. Informants were obtained by 3 people based sampling with purposive sampling technique. The subject of this research is foreign teachers who teach in Dharma Yudha high school and the object of this study is the cultural adaptation of foreign teachers in teaching and learning in Dharma Yudha high school. The results of this study indicate that the three foreign teachers have different process of adaptation, two of the informants were in the stage of resolution with the decision that accepts cultural accommodation but with several notes about things they can not tolerate and one informant another at the stage resolution with a full participant in the decision that is, someone who reached a comfortable and managed to establish a good relationship with the surrounding environment and accept the new culture. Abstract

Delinquency and crime among children and adolescents continues to increase in fact lead to acts classified as crimes . To restore the attitudes and behavior of children and adolescents is needed coaching . One container of coaching for children and adolescents are prisons . The development occurred in the communication is a tool to change the behavior of children and adolescents . This study to know how the desire of communication between supervisors and inmates , the message delivered between supervisors and inmates , sending messages between supervisors and inmates , receiving messages between supervisors and inmates , understanding messages between supervisors and inmates , as well as feedback between supervisors and inmates in correctional facilities and child class II Pekanbaru The design of this research was used descriptive qualitative method which is explaining and interpreting the data that have already existed. The informants of this research are the cultivator and the cultivate society by using the purposive technique. The technique of data collection has done by using observation, interview, and documentation. The result of this research was showed the process of interpersonal communication thathave done by cultivator and the cultivate society that prove that it can be running well at Correctional Institution of II B Class of Protégé in Pekanbaru. Moreover, the desire of communication between the cultivator and the cultivate society can be fulfilled to each other. The message that will be delivered by cultivator and the cultivate society should be aimed to personal problem so that one of the side can feel comfortable to share what they feel. The sending messages that have done by cultivator and cultivate society were doing directly or face to face where the messages that have been sending will be delivered directly. The delivering message that have done by cultivator and cultivate society is still running well, in addition the cultivate society are very enthusiastic when they join the agendas that held by Correctional Intuition, as well as on the other way, so that the cultivate society can be assimilated to another. The understanding of cultivator and cultivate society have well enough where the cultivate society can be understood what the cultivator has communicated, as well as on the other way. Abstract

Interreligous marriage is really happened in Pekanbaru, Riau. In phenomenonlogy perspective aiming to uncover the experience of intercultural communication marriage couple.The type of research was descriptive qualitative by an approach of phenomenology. Based on the fact the field through observation, deep interviews an documentation. The subject of research was a couple Interreligous marriage was of 3 couple in 3 – 5 year’s in married samples. The study focuses on exploring in communication experience of the sample. For this purpose of study proposed following three questions: (1) what is motive of Interreligous marriage’s couples? (2) How do this couples interpret the Interreligous marriage (3) How do they experience their marital communication with partner from different religion background.In the deep interview the informans give the personal experiences that contribute to the success of their marriage. Based on the analysis of data found three motives such as economic, love and affections, comfort feelings. Abstract

Metrosexual men generally are in larger urban centers such as the city of Pekanbaru, with a neat appearance, good looking, smells good, charming and characteristic of its own. The phenomenon of the metrosexual man is a unique behavior in urban culture, they generally have a masculine image but is concerned about the appearance, body treatments, hanging out with their friends. Although, we know that is like like to concerned about the appearance and body treatments in generally are woman, that things cause positive stigma from society, from the stigma will form self-concept metrosexual man.This research aims to Known as metrosexual male self-concept cover physical, psychological, social and motives that influence self-concept formation metrosexual man in the city of Pekanbaru. This research uses qualitative research methods to conduct phenomenologhy approach. Subjects in this study amounted to 9 people. Data collection techniques are grouped through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentations. This study uses data validity checking technique through extended participation and triangulation.The results of this research are that self-concept metrosexual man in Pekanbaru has its own self-concept, with various aspects of the physical, psychic, and social. And also metrosexual Men in Pekanbaru city also has its own motive that cause their right to live the lifestyle as a metrosexual man, and they have a positive self-concept of self, good personality, visible from the appearance, as well as a positive attitude towards the environment.Keywords : Self Concept, Symbol Interaction, Metrosexual Male, Phenomenology.
