Abstract

Modernization fishery tools facilitated by government support is assumed to help improving fishermen incomes. However, on reality the introduction of the more advanced tools has also posed challenges to the traditional fishermen. Modernization of fishery technology can also caused conflict between fishermen. This found evidence in the conflict between longline (rawai) fishers and trawl fishers in Bengkalis District-Riau has occurred for more than 30 years. The modernization of fishing gear by government is one of the triggers of the conflict. This research aims to uncover the root causes of conflict and understand communication management to overcome the conflict between traditional and modern fishers. This research used the qualitative and explorative method. The results show that the conflict among fishers in the coastal area of Bengkalis occurs due to the use of trawl and the territorial dispute in fishing. The causes of conflict between fishers are related to lack of rule understanding, economic inequality, and differences in value and culture. Government delivery of the aid that is not sensitive to the need fo traditional fishermen play role in the conflict. This is due to the problem communication management. The resolution of the conflicts at the Fishers community level is possible if the government is able to build the atmosphere through appropriate policies, programs and communication ways for the Fishers community.

Abstract

Environmental problems that require serious handling are the problem of land and forest fires, especially on peatlands which cause losses, especially economic and environmental aspects. Peatlands are a natural resource that has the potential to be utilized for the welfare of the community. Utilization of peatlands is not only for agriculture, plantations and residential land, but can be used as peat ecotourism. The large number of peatlands that were initially not utilized, and most of them became unproductive idle lands, can be managed properly and are able to contribute samsirto improving the welfare of the surrounding communities through the company’s CSR program. This paper aims to analyze the management of the CSR program in the development of peat ecotourism in Bukit Batu DistrictPakning River.Researchers collected field data through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the company’s CSR program is directed at developing various community empowerment programs, aiming for the community to have the power, strength or ability in physical and material aspects, as well as economic aspects.Utilization of post-fire peatlands with community empowerment in the process of developing peatland ecotourism through the Peat Typical Tree Planting program on burned land, the development of the Environmental-Based School Curriculum program and the Peat Arboretum Development program. The management of the CSR program is carried out through the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. The management of the CSR program is analyzed throughCommunity Based Tourism (CBT) Model which is a tourism development planning strategy.

Abstract

Kabupaten Bengkalis memiliki potensi wisata yang dapat dikelola secara terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat secara mandiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis potensi objek wisata dan perencanaan komunikasi dalam mengembangkan potensi wisata di Kabupaten Bengkalis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, melalui model komunikasi interaksional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, kelompok fokus, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menemukan rencana strategis untuk pengembangan kawasan wisata yang sekarang menjadi inti ekonomi Kabupaten Bengkalis dan berkontribusi terhadap pembangunan ekonomi berkelanjutan di hampir semua kecamatan, yang memiliki karakter dan potensi yang hampir sama, berdasarkan konten lokal di kawasan itu, seperti potensi wisata alam dan budaya. Proses perencanaan komunikasi melalui perencanaan komunikasi, perencanaan pesan, perencanaan media dalam pengembangan potensi pariwisata, dan evaluasi tahap dalam perencanaan komunikasi, yang menekankan pada model komunikasi sirkuler.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT CPI) merupakan salah satu perusahaan terbesar di Indonesia.Agar dapat mempertahankan eksistensinya, PT CPI harus mampu beradaptasi dengan lingkungansekitar. Disinilah peranan Public Relations dibutuhkanuntuk mewujudkan tujuan perusahaan denganmembangun hubungan yang timbal balik dan saling membutuhkan antara perusahaan dan masyarakatsekitar. Salah satu cara yang perlu dilakukan adalah melalui program Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR).Indonesia, khususnya wilayah strategis Riau yang masuk dalam pasar bebas ASEAN dituntutuntuk mempersiapkan dan meningkatkan kualitas masyarakatnya dalam persaingan di pasar bebas.Atas hal ini, program CSR dapat menjadi solusi. Merujuk pada kewajiban CSR Perseroan Terbatasdalam UU No. 40 Tahun 2007, PT CPI memiliki program CSR-nya yang disebut Social Investmentdan berfokus padalima bidang, yaitu (1) kesehatan, (2) pendidikan dan pelatihan, (3) pengembanganekonomi, lingkungan dan keanekaragaman hayati, (4) kesenian, budaya dan infrastruktur olahraga dan(5) bantuan dan rehabilitasi pasca bencana. Penelitian ini nantinya akan menggambarkan bagaimanamodel perencanaan komunikasi program CSR PT CPI area Riau.Kata Kunci: CSR, Public Relations, Model Perencanaan Komunikasi.

Abstract

The activity was carried out in Teluk Pambang Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. This activity is due to the local community's lack of awareness of the importance of managing and utilizing mangrove ecosystems that have ecological, social, and economic functions. The purpose of this activity is to provide a comprehensive understanding to the community about the importance of mangrove forest management and utilization to maintain environmental balance in coastal areas, the prospect of economically valuable mangrove ecotourism, providing knowledge of the importance of local wisdom values as a support for the attractiveness of mangrove ecotourism development, and the importance of forming a tourism awareness group as a form of active community contribution in utilizing the potential of sustainable community-based ecotourism. This activity's target is the community living in Teluk Pambang Village, especially the Mangrove Management Group and the Local Government. The implementation method starts with the survey and implementation in the field. This activity involved 12 Riau University students from various disciplines. The results obtained from this activity are the active participation of the community to participate in identifying potentials and ideas for developing Mangrove ecotourism and establishing partnerships with the Village Government and mangrove management groups in the context of community empowerment through the management and utilization of mangrove ecosystems as ecotourism based on local wisdom and creative economy in Teluk Pambang Village.

Abstract

Perkembangan media baru saat ini juga mempengaruhi perkembangan di bidang pariwisata melalui sebuah konstruksi sosial dalam bentuk baru dari pengembangan pada sektor pariwisata. Media sosial digunakan sebagai sarana untuk menyebarkan informasi, komunikasi, dan promosi. Kegiatan mempromosikan potensi wisata bisa dilakukan dengan mudah oleh masyarakat yang menyadari bahwa daerahnya memiliki potensi pariwisata yang bisa dijadikan sebagai objek wisata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan media sosial dalam mempromosikan potensi pariwisata daerah di Kecamatan Bantan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam mempromosikan potensi wisata daerah Kecamatan Bantan dapat berjalan dengan menggunakan berbagai media sosial melalui tahapan yaitu komunikator, pesan, media dan komunikan. Pemanfaatan media sosial banyak ditemui melalui facebook, instagram, whatsApp. Penggunaan media sosial tersebut banyak manfaat dan keuntungan bagi masyarakat dalam mempromosikan potensi wisata baru di daerah yang belum dikenal luas. Manfaatnya antara lain dapat dengan mudah menyebarluaskan informasi daerah wisata, informasi perjalanan, dan dapat menarik perhatian pengguna lainnya yang lebih banyak didukung oleh penggunaan fitur-fitur pemilik media sosial tersebut.

Abstract

Teluk Pambang Village has an attraction with the. Mangrove. .forest ecosystemmin the form of views of the physical environment of waters, rivers and expanses of mangrove vegetation, flora and fauna which are currently being managed as tourist destinations. The .purpose of the researchs is to reveal.. the management .of communication in the development of the village's creative economy. Through ddescriptive qualitativey .methods, the dataa was collected through observation, and interviews with the. mangrove ecotourism management team. The results show that integrated management through various communication resources in the context of effective communication can have an impact on improving the community's economy independently, through the process of planning, implementing, and controlling various elements of communication accordingg to the goals that have been set. The forms of. ccommunicationn in achievingg goals is adjustedt to the character of the local community, through various socialization, mentoring and counseling activities that have used information and technology media. Although the community is aware that tourism has the potential to independently improve the community's economy, it has not yet been implemented properly, there is still room for improvement in each region based on an integrated development approach.

Abstract

Kabupaten Siak dikenal dengan slogan Siak the Truly Malay, karena daerah ini merupakan wilayah berbasis budaya Melayu, bahkan sudah berhak memegang hak cipta atas branding Siak the Truly Malay, paten atas branding tersebut, menurut Kepala Bagian Humas Pemerintah Kabupaten Siak sudah terdaftar sejak 27 April 2017. Berdasarkan kenyataan itulah  masyarakat Siak akhir-akhir ini bersemangat untuk mempromosikan city branding Siak the Truly Malay-nya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali, menemukan, dan mendeskripsikankan  berbagai promosi yang digalakan mereka terkait dengan wisata budaya ini. Metode penelitian bersifat kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa komunikasi pariwisata yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Siak,antara lain: memasarkan objek atau produk-produk budaya Melayu,  baik situs-situs sejarah, kerajinan tradisional, kuliner dan kondisi geografis yang menunjang program tersebut sebagai brand Kabupaten ini, memberdayakan dan meningkatkan ekonomi kreatif yang mengarah kepada city creative; menyelenggarakan berbagai event budaya yang menjadi agenda tahunan, memaksimalkan berbagai saluran komunikasi, seperti situs-situs online, media elektronik, koran lokal dan berbagai publikasi lainnya, memperbaiki dan meningkatkan  sarana dan prasana terutama infrastruktur dan elektrisasi, dan meningkatkan  kerjasama dengan stakehlders. Beberapa rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan program ini, pemerintah sebaiknya memaksimalkan sarana dan prasarana di berbagai tempat wisata yang tengah dikembangkan; masyarakat ikut menjaga dan  mengembangkan potensi ekonomi kreatif yang mereka miliki, stakeholder/Swasta seharusnya memberikan dukungan material secara maksimal terhadap program pemerintah dalam mempromosikan city branding ini.

Abstract

Damage to mangrove forests and abrasion are the main problems on the coast of the Bengkalis Regency. Conservation of mangrove forests by making community-based ecotourism is the best solution to this problem. This paper aims to explain the environmental communication model in the development of mangrove ecotourism. This research used a qualitative method with case studies. The results showed that environmental communication is an essential component in the successful development of mangrove ecotourism. Environmental communication planning had at least four stages, namely problem analysis, audience analysis, and goal setting; selection of communication channel and media; message development and media production; and implementation accompanied by evaluation.The model of environmental communication in the development of mangrove ecotourism in Bengkalis Regency was carried out by empowering community groups based on deliberation and mutual cooperation. Environmental communication must be integrated and managed creatively by using various communication methods and channels.

Abstract

The desire to leave the company or called turnover intention will interfere with organizational performance in realizing the company's goals to win business competition. Turnover intention is likened to a disease that is difficult to cure by a company so that it becomes a challenge for companies to try to retain experienced employees. It is important for leaders to create an organizational climate and employee job satisfaction so that it can be a strategy for maintaining employee presence in the company. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational climate and job satisfaction on the desire to leave the company. The population or research object is one of the dealer companies that are experienced in the city of Pekanbaru, namely Truck Car Dealers. Data collection using a questionnaire, and data analysis using SmartPLS 2.0 analysis. The results showed that the coefficient of determination (R2) for the variable willingness to leave was 0.589. This means that the output desire construct variable can be explained by the variability of organizational climate and job satisfaction of 58.90% while the remaining 41.10% is explained by other variables outside the research model. It is proven that there is a significant influence of organizational climate on the desire to leave the company and job satisfaction on the desire to leave the company. Recommendations that it is important for company leaders to improve the quality of the organizational climate by providing better work facilities and employee job satisfaction through increasing the provision of more attractive incentives or bonuses.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keinginan keluar karyawan, dan menentukan apakah iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja efektif sebagai strategi mempertahankan karyawan pada Perusahaan Dealer Mobil di Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian eksplanatori, dan menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang terdiri dari 32 pertanyaan; Sampel terdiri dari 100 responden karyawan dari populasi sebesar 118 karyawan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive smpling. Data yang dikumpulkan dari kuesioner menggunakan pengukuran skala likert dan pengolahan data menggunakan statistik regresi liner berganda melalui SPSS versi 22.0. Temuan hasil penelitian: 1) iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap keinginan karyawan keluar dari perusahaan; 2)Ikllim organisasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap keinginan karyawan keluar dari perusahaan; 3)kepuasan kerja memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keinginan karyawan keluar perusahaan. Implikasi hasil penelitian, iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja sebagai strategi mempertahankan karyawan sudah tepat secara kolaborasi, tapi tidak efektif sebagai strategi tunggal.
