Abstract

Desa kendung merupakan desa yang cukup indah dan jauh dari keramaian. Tidak sedikit seorang perempuan yang ada di desa kendung selalu mengandalkan untuk bekerja di sawah. Pekerjaan yang dilakukan disawah hanya dapat dilakukan saat musim tanam dan musim panen. Jadi seorang perempuan masih membuang banyak waktu. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertitik tolak pada pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan pembuatan bolu terong. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan dan evaluasi. Ketiga tahapan itu merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Hasil kegiatan pengabadian masyarakat ini diharapkan mampu memberikan solusi bagi mayarakat dalam hal perekonomian yang ada di desa kendung. Selaian itu, masyarakat agar mengembangkan berbagai macam kue atau jajanan yang berasal dari bahan baku terong. Dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian, masyarakat mersa terbantu dengan berbagai macam ilmu yang diberikan kepada masyarakat sehingga menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan dalam hal pengolahan makanan serta inovasi-inovasi jenis makanan.

Abstract

 Since Covid-19 attacked several parts of the world, students are suggested to do distance learning. However, since New Normal era, students are allowed to do offline learning by implementing health protocol. This research is aimed to describe teaching method with blended learning model namely “Missing Pieces Activities” in English Subject for Twelfth Graders of Senior High School. This teaching method involves various activities, they are: Missing Words for listening, Missing Small Thing speaking, and Missing Sentences for Reading. With this blended learning model, the activities are done by combining the online learning and offline learning. Source of data in this research is activities done by the students during the teaching and learning process. The data was collected through observation and inerview. The finding of the research shows that students are more actively involved in the teaching and learning process. Further, they have higher motivation in learning due to the various activities they did in learning process. Therefore, this Missing Pieces Activities can be one of learning  methods in New Normal Era to increase students’ activeness and motivation both in distance and offline learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the challenges faced by high school English teachers in teaching and evaluating during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The researcher used observation, an open-ended questionnaire, and an interview to collect the data. The result showed that the teachers face some challenges in teaching speaking and assessing speaking in online learning. First, limited or shorter duration of teaching causes less speaking practice in the process of teaching and learning. Second, limited access to the online platform, this condition happened since not all students have sufficient internet connections during online learning. Third, less learning motivation from the students. Fourth, limited speaking performance activities, such as dialogue, role play, and other performing activities, are difficult to do in online learning. Those problems forced teachers to be innovative in redesigning teaching activities and authentic assessments for students’ speaking proficiency.

Abstract

Piyak is a small village which is prosperous with its agricultural product. Most of the land area of this village is ricefield area which can crop rice three times in a year. The community of Piyak only grow rice in their rice throughout the year. As a result, they need to buy another food necessities, such as seasoning, vegetables, and fruit, in the nearest market. They actually do not really need to buy those things because they could grow the vegetables and fruits in their own yard area. However, they do not have sufficient knowledge on how to use the yard area and also the prospect. Therefore, this community service activity is aimed to educate the community about the way to use their yard area optimally to help them fulfill their familys’ food necessities. The method used in this community service activity is Assest Based Community Development (ABCD). The community was given knowledge about the benefit of yard area and the crops that they can get from it. Then, the community made the growing media and planted vegetables and fruits in their yard area. They plant 720 food plantation which consist of eggplant, chili, and papaya. The seeds of eggplant, chili, and papaya were got from Environmental Services of Bojonegoro Regency. Besides those plantation, the community could add other plantation based on their needs. Therefore, the optimalisation of yard area not only able to fulfill the food necessities but also could add the families’ income.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan ekonomi kelompok peternak Sekolah Ternak Rakyat (SPR) Mega Jaya Dusun Ngantru Kecamatan Kasiman dimasa pandemi covid 19 adalah dengan melakukan pendampingan melalui digitalisasi data dengan Barcode. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini yang pertama adalah mengenalkan dan mempraktekkan teknologi yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan pola manajemen data dan pemasaran sapi sehingga angka penjualan sapi bisa naik dan pendapatan para peternak sapi meningkat. Yang kedua untuk memudahkan calon pembeli dan pengunjung SPR Mega Jaya mendapatkan informasi data secara cepat dan akurat tanpa harus bertemu dengan pemiliknya. Metode Pemberdayaan yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) dengan mengutamakan potensi dan pemanfaatan aset yang ada di sekitar masyarakat Dusun Ngantru Kecamatan Kasiman. Hasil dari digitalisasi dengan barcode yang pertama adalah meningkatnya penjualan sapi kelompok peternak SPR Mega jaya dimasa pandemi dibandingkan sebelum menggunakan sistem Barcode. Yang kedua memudahkan pengelola kelompok ternak untuk memberikan informasi data sapi secara cepat dan akurat kepada calon pembeli dan pengunjung. Yang Ketiga adanya kepedulian pemuda karang taruna Dusun Ngantru untuk menjadi kader & relawan IT Kelompok ternak SPR Mega Jaya, dan yang keempat meningkatkan pola manajemen data dan pemasaran sapi berbasis IT. Abstract

This study is aimed to illuminate the use of AI-assisted writing applications to improve academic writing skills and describe how to implement AI-assisted writing applications for EFL academic writing. This study is qualitative reasearch. The data is collected through analysis of writing task and interview about the use of Artificial Intelligence in academic writing. After analyzing students’ writing task and interview related to the use of AI in language teaching, especially in writing. The study revealed that the use of AI-assisted applications is beneficial for students, especially students of Islamic education study program. The applications could help the students construct paragraphs, correct the structures, and even paraphrase the paragraphs. The use of AI in writing will not replace human existence since AI-assisted writing application is just a tool, there should be creativity and logical reasoning in writing an academic article. The use of Artificial intelligent-assisted applications could be applied as new model to increase students’ writing skills since there are many features and easiness offered by AI technology.

Abstract

In the post-pandemic era, many Indonesian students suffer learning loss. After the government allows the schools to have offline learning, teachers and lecturers should do acceleration for learning recovery. This study is aimed to describe strategies used by English lecturers to recover learning loss. This study is a descriptive qualitative study that focuses on English lectures at higher education levels. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews with some English lecturers who teach in the English education department and other departments at several universities in Indonesia. The technique of data analysis includes data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and data validation through triangulation technique from data resources. The result shows that there are four strategies that used by the lecturers to mitigate learning loss and accelerate learning recovery for EFL learners, they are teaching using more interesting and various teaching strategies, such as Drill and Practise method to improve vocabulary mastery, promoting autonomous and cooperative learning, designing joyful learning activities, and implementing project-based learning. Therefore, lecturers perceive that to accelerate learning recovery, lecturers should provide more time, energy, and strategies to catch up with the learning loss suffered by students.

Abstract

Background: In this digital era, teachers are required to be able to adapt and integrate technology in learning. Most of the Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Ulum Bulu Balen teachers do not have adequate knowledge and skills in utilizing information technology in learning so they still use conventional teaching methods. Providing training in creating gamification-based assessment instruments with a friendly application. Method: The partner in this service is Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Ulum Bulu Balen Bojonegoro. There were 14 participants from the teacher council. The method used is training through five stages, namely FDG, material determination, planning, implementation and evaluation. Results: Teachers can create gamification-based assessment instruments with the Genially application. They assess students' knowledge in a more interesting and fun way because the questions are presented in the form of games and quizzes for students to complete. With the variety of quizzes and gamification in the Genially application, teachers can use different types of games for each material. Conclusion: The level of participants' understanding (the teacher's ability and skills in using technological information) was 85% greater than participants who did not or did not understand.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the design system for the Android-based Cultural History learning application in class IX MTs Miftahul Ulum Sitiaji Bojonegoro, East Java. This research was conducted with a research and development model. Where researchers create and design products in the form of an Android-based Appy Pye application. The results showed; 1) the teacher prepares materials, videos, and pictures; 2) develop the application by logging into the Appy Pye web using a Gmail, email, or Facebook account, filling in what application is made, editing the application start page, and select the menu as desired, prepare Appy Pye and an international account for filling in personal data, download the application and fill in the desired material, and do the application test stage. 3) The Android-based Appy Pye application can increase student learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History subjects.

Abstract

Learning Islamic Cultural History has been considered a difficult lesson to understand, so this obstacle has become a problem and dilemma for educators and students at MAN 1 Bojonegoro, including in facing curriculum changes, namely the Merdeka curriculum. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation, identify challenges, and explain the efforts made by teachers in facing the challenges of implementing the Merdeka curriculum in the Islamic Cultural History subject. The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the following results are obtained: (1) the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in the Islamic Cultural History subject is carried out through three stages including planning, implementation, and evaluation (2) the challenges include, the guidelines for the formulation of learning tools that are published late, the lack of time for teachers to understand and prepare the independent curriculum, the update of information on the platform that is continuing and has not been completed, the lack of reference materials for examples in implementing the independent curriculum, teachers have difficulty integrating with other teachers due to differences in perceptions and understanding of other teachers about the independent curriculum, the implementation of diagnostic assessments takes a long time. (3) the efforts made by teachers in dealing with it, including following and adjusting existing guidelines, participating in MGMP SKI as well as technical guidance on the Merdeka curriculum from the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, and discussing with students what difficulties they face and then finding solutions together.
