Abstract

Thermoluminescence response of TLD CaSO4: Dy with a variation of the addition of SiO2 and PTFE materials has been observed. TLD CaSO4:Dy derived through co-precipitation method and then added by SiO2 and PTFE. Thermoluminescence intensity for CaSO4:Dy added by SiO2 obtained 9.41, 5.32; and 13.93 nC for the temperature at 400 °C, 600 °C and 700 °C. As for CaSO4:Dy with the addition of PTFE obtained 33.10;  336.89; and 1191.11 nC for the temperature at 400 oC temperature, 600 °C and 700 °C. Thermoluminscence intensity for CaSO4:Dy without the addition of SiO2 and PTFE at a temperature of 700 °C is 75.15 nC. There’s a significant increasing in the thermoluminescence intensity on CaSO4:Dy added by PTFE.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between the usage of IT-based teaching materials on Islamic education and learning interests with learning outcomes of Student in SMPN 1 Cempa Pinrang. This research was a field research. Refereeing from the type of data, this study included quantitative research. The approach used was the pedagogical approaches. Data were obtained through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then the data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential method. These results indicated that; perception of students on the use of IT-based teaching materials of PAI was in medium category, while PAI learning interest of students was in the high category. This study showed that the use of IT-based teaching materials of PAI and interests simultaneously can give a positive contribution to the learning outcomes of PAI. The implication of this research is that the use of IT-based teaching materials of PAI will provide a significant contribution in the implementation of the learning process for teachers because of the use of IT-based teaching materials of PAI provides convenience in learning so the impact on the effectiveness of the learning process that can further enhance the learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah membuktikan bahwa penggunaan permainan menyenangkan dapat meningkatkan kosakata pada murid kelas IV SDN 1 Lumbumamara. Penulis menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar pengamatan, catatan lapangan, dan tes. Pada siklus satu sampai siklus dua penulis menggunakan permainan gambar sebagai media untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata pada kata kerja dan kata benda.  Penulis menggunakan  permainan gambar  dengan menggunakan kartu yang berisi kosa kata dan memberikan  pemahaman kepada murid untuk dapat memahami  kata-kata tersebut karena permainan ini adalah pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Penulis mengarahkan murid untuk melakukan aktivitas menggambar, berpikir, menebak, dan diakhiri dengan tes penguasaan kosa kata. Pada siklus pertama murid yang mendapatkan nilai sesuai standar ketuntasan minimal adalah sejumlah 10 murid atau 58.82% dari total murid yang diteliti. Jumlah ini belum mencapai kriteria sukses penelitian, dimana nilai yang ditetapkan adalah 70%. Penelitian dilanjutkan ke tahapan selanjutnya dan pada siklus kedua jumlah murid yang memperoleh nilai kriteria sukses adalah sebesar 82.35%. Pada siklus dua kriteria sukses penelitian telah didapatkan dan penelitian dihentikan di siklus dua.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan apakah penggunaan Strategi KWL dapat meningkatkan pemahaman membaca di kelas delapan SMP Islam Palu. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian eksperimental semu sebagai desain penelitian. Sampel adalah teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen adalah 24 siswa dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol adalah 24 siswa. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes yang meliputi pilihan ganda 10 item dan esai 5 item dengan memberikan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hitung 0,32 taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan derajat kebebasan (df) 46 (48-2). Tingkat kebebasan menunjukkan t-tabel adalah 2,015. Kemudian nilai t-hitung lebih tinggi dari nilai t-tabel. Ini berarti hipotesis penelitian diterima. untuk penggunaan Know Want Learned (KWL) dapat Meningkatkan Pemahaman Membaca di Kelas VIII SMP Islam Palu.Kata kunci: kemampuan membaca, pengetahuan mau belajar (KWL).

Abstract

A typical planar structure is the most feasible conceptual design of betavoltaic battery due to its simplicity. The self-absorption of beta source, however, causes a limitation to the geometrical efficiency.  Herein, we tried to investigate the self-absorption event in Ni-63 beta source by changing the geometrical aspects and evaluated its effect on each layer of a 4H-SiC semiconductor as the radiation-electricity converter. The design configuration from previous literature was adopted and the model was developed using Monte Carlo N-Particle X (MCNPX) consists of radioisotope source, semiconductor, and also ohmic contacts. The energy of beta emission was adjusted to the actual Ni-63 beta spectra with an isotropic distribution of ejected particles. The average beta energy deposition degrades along with the addition of source mass thickness, but the n+ substrate has a unique result where a peak is observed at 0.1246 mg/cm2 due to the self-absorption effect. Furthermore, the rectangular surface area magnification gives a positive impact on the beta energy deposition up to 2.48% and the photon average energy deposition up to 137.21%.  The results of average electron absorbed dose are consistent with Oldano-Pasquarelli semi-empirical theory of self-absorption in the beta source, where the upper layer receives a wider angular distribution of particles compared to the lower one, which corresponds to the counting geometrical coefficients.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe students of MTs. Al-Khairaat Tondo had a problem in simple past tense; namely, they had low understanding in simple past tense. This research aims at finding out whether applying Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Strategy is effective to improve the understanding of ninth grade students of MTs. Al-Khairaat Tondo in simple past tense. This is a quasi-experimental research design. Its sample was 18 for grade IXB and 20 for grade IXC which were selected randomly. Its data is collected through a test (pre-test and post-test). Pre-test was conducted to know the students’ prior knowledge before treatment, while the post-test was conducted to measure their understanding after treatment. These data were analyzed statistically. The result of this research indicates that the t-counted was 0,45. The researcher found that the t-table was 0,329 by applying 0,05 level of significance and 36 degrees of freedom. T-counted value was higher than t-table value. It means the research hypothesis is accepted. In other words, applying Contextual Teaching and Learning Strategy can improve students’ understanding in simple past tense.Key terms: Applying. Abstract

The problem often experienced in learning computer for communication to achieve maximum learning outcomes is the accuracy in presenting the materials, so the method used matches the characteristics of the learning material. In this case, the selection of teaching methods must be adjusted to the current situation and condition to obtain innovative and effective method because the students’ ability is heterogeneous. This study aims to determine students’ learning outcomes using cooperative learning STAD, to determine students’ learning outcomes using expository, as well as to find out the difference students’ learning outcomes between cooperative learning STAD and expository methods. Therefore, this study was designed using quasy-experimental with pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The population was students of D3 Business Administration Program of Politeknik Negeri Malang consisting of two groups, control and experimental class as a sample. Quantitative statistical analysis was used as a tool in this study. Through t-test, it is found the results of obtained t-count is 3.803 and higher than t table = 1.99. It means that there was a significant difference between the learning outcome of the control and the experimental group on computer for communication subject.

Abstract

The targets of the activity are residents of Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency, East Java, who work as SMEs of processed garden products such as bamboo crafts, banana chips, tomato jam, corn chips, etc. The aim of this activity is to provide training to residents on how to market products by utilizing social media such as WhatsApp and Instagram. So that sales of products that have been produced by residents can have a wider market share, marketing efficiency, and as a means to maximize the social media that residents have not only for sending messages but can be enhanced for more productive things.

Abstract

Nugget is a highly nutritious chicken product, especially protein, but lacks fibre. The addition of other ingredients, namely fibre-rich merang mushrooms, is expected to increase the fibre content, which is lacking in nugget products, and maintain the protein nutrition and organoleptics. This study aims to determine the effect of substituting Merang mushroom on the chemical and organoleptic nutritional value of nuggets. This study used RAL with 5 treatments, namely N1 (0% Merang mushroom substitution), N2 (25% Merang mushroom substitution), N3 (50% Merang mushroom substitution), N4 (75% Merang mushroom substitution) and N5 (100% Merang mushroom). The results obtained were analysed with analysis of variance at the 5% level using SPSS 15.0. Significantly different results were tested using the Tukey test. The results showed that the nuggets with Merang mushroom substitution that complied with SNI 6683-2014 and was the best treatment based on chemical quality (moisture content, protein content and crude fibre) and hedonic organoleptic (colour, aroma, taste and texture) was treatment N2 (25% Merang mushroom substitution), which produced 59. 66% moisture content; 9.22% protein content; 17.67% fibre content, with a colour score of 3.75 (criteria like); aroma 3.65 (criteria like); taste 3.30 (criteria somewhat like) and texture 3.60 (criteria like).
