Abstract

The students’ learning results in Biology are influenced by two factors, namely internal and external factors. The internal factors that can influence learning results are learning style, learning independence, and learning interest. The research aims to discover the relation of  learning style, learning independence and learning interest with Biology learning results of the students at SMAN 1 Tonra in Bone District.The research is ex post facto. The population of the research were the students of class IPA at SMAN 1 Tonra in Bone District of academic year 2016/2017. The samples were 194 students taken by using stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected by employing questionnaire and documentation. The data of the research were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics techniques. The results of the research reveal that (i) the students’ learning style tends to be in visual type, (ii) the students’ learning independence is in high category, (iii) the students’ learning interest is in high category, (iv) the students’ Biology learning results is in high category, (v) there is strong relation between learning style and the students’ Biology learning results, (vi) there is fairly strong relation between learning independence and the students’ Biology learning results, (vii) there is strong relation between learning interest and the students’ Biology learning results, and (viii) there is very strong relation between learning style, learning independence, and learning interest toword Biology learning results of the students at SMAN 1 Tonra in Bone District.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  (1) mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar IPA Biologi antara yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Barebbo Kabupaten Bone tahun ajaran 2015/2016, (2) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA Biologi antara yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas  VII SMP Negeri 3 Barebbo Kabupaten Bone tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas  VII SMP Negeri 3 Barebbo.Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1)Terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajan kooperatife tipe STAD dengan pembelajaran konvensional (2)Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar Biologi antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatife tipe STAD dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Precadets Studieson the agility of the bodyon the prospectivecadets Academy of Engineering and Aviation Safety Makassar. The research was conducted on the campus ATKP Makassar. The method used in this study isa prospective observational study approach, to perform an agility examination with a sides tepping tester. Sampling is non random sampling technique by taking as aturated sample. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis by pairedt-testif data were normally distributed, theWilcoxon test the alternative is. The results showed that therate increaseagility by 63% after the implementation of P2ST. Significance test results showed that there P2Steffect the agilityof the body (p =0.002). It was concluded that the implementation of the Pre-Stud y Program cadets give effect to the increased agilityof the body on the prospectivecadets Academy of Engineering and Aviation Safety Makassar.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is a descriptive study that aims to determine the morphological characteristics of Marica goats. That are kept outside the habitat. Observation of morphological characteristics and eating activities using 2 goats (1 male and 1 female). This research was conducted at the Biology Experiment Garden in Makassar State University. The results obtained by Marica Goat have a relatively small body dimensions, upright ears and relatively small short, short and small horns and look agile and aggressive and Marica goats during the day (09.00-16.00) do more eating activities. Abstract

Abstract: This research is descriptive correlational with a simple paradigm research design that aims to find out the correlation between study habits and student learning outcomes. The sample of this study is a saturated sample that is entirely from the population of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tinambung amounting to 85 students, saturated sample intends to make generalizations with very small errors. Measured study habits include 7 indicators, namely regular Biology learning, preparation for learning in the night, came early to attend the class, conditions / learning atmosphere, learning to understand and to the point, habit of facing exams and practice of visiting the library. The study data of study habits were obtained through a questionnaire and the learning outcomes were obtained from secondary data on the student achievement of the even semester of the 2018/2019 school year which were then processed by Product Moment correlation analysis (r) and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that (1) Study habits of students grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tinambung is at a good category with an average of 71.98. (2) Biology achievement of student grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tinambung is found out in high category with an average of 76.12. (3) There is a relationship between the study habits and biology achievement of eleventh grade students at senior high school 1 Tinambung. The correlation level obtained is 11.5% and classified as weak or low correlation. Keywords: student habits, student achievements.

Abstract

Abstract. This research was aimed to produce BioMagz product as an alternative resource of independent learning which was valid and practical used in SMA Negeri 1 Mangkutana. This was a research and development using 4D model by Thiagarajan which consisted of 4 steps, namely (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop and Disseminate. The research result developed BioMagz was valid and practical. The value of the validity was 4.17 which meant that BioMagz as an alternative resource of independent learning included in the valid criteria. The value of practicality was 4.6, which meant that BioMagz as an alternative resource of independent learning belonged to the practical criteria. While the student response presentation of 84,5% which means BioMagz got positive response from student. Keywords: BioMagz, Alternative, Resource of Independent Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the increase in activity, motivation and student learning outcomes through the application of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang on cell material. This type of research is a classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang. The type of research instrument used was a learning activity observation sheet, a learning motivation questionnaire and a learning outcome test in the form of multiple-choice tests of 20 items for each cycle of cell material. The data obtained were analyzed statistically descriptive. The results showed that (1) there was an increase in the biology learning activities of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang namely classically from 66.47% increased to 80.03%, the amount of increase from cycle I to cycle II was 13.56%; (2) an increase in biology learning motivation of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang that is classically from 82.87% to 86.97%, the amount of increase from cycle I to cycle II is 4.11%; (3) an increase in biology learning outcomes of students in class XI MIPA 1 MAN Enrekang namely from 59.38% of students who completed to 96.88%, the number of increases from cycle I to cycle II was 37.50%. These results indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the activity, motivation and learning outcomes of students of the XI MIPA 1 MAN class Enrekang.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, activity, motivation and learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri in Biringkanaya District, Makassar City, including SMAN 18 Makassar, SMAN 7 Makassar, SMAN 22 Makassar. Knowledge of balanced nutrition is part of the community's reference to nutrition, including adolescents, so this is an effort to increase adolescent knowledge with the hope of changing unbalanced nutritional behavior. This knowledge will raise awareness, and eventually will cause people to behave in accordance with the knowledge they have. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about balanced nutrition and attitudes towards balanced nutrition. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a survey method, using tests and questionnaires. The results of the research knowledge obtained 5.9% in the good category, 11.9% sufficient category, 82.0% less category. While the attitude of 29.8% in the sufficient category, 7.4% less, and 62.4% good. There is a relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of SMA Negeri students in Biringkanaya District, Makassar City, which is categorized as weak. It is necessary to provide education about Balanced Nutrition Knowledge for students.Keywords: Knowledge of nutrition, attitude towards nutrition

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kausal komparatif (causal comparatif) bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar biologi siswa akibat keterlaksanaan praktikum di kelas XI SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sidrap. Hipotesis penelitian ini yaitu ada perbedaan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang dengan SMA Negeri 1 Pangsid. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sidrap yang terdiri dari sembilan SMA negeri namun yang dipilih yaitu SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang dan SMA Negeri 1 Pangsid. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA4 SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang dengan jumlah siswa 37 orang dan siswa kelas XI IPA6 SMA Negeri 1 Pangsid dengan jumlah siswa 35 orang. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterlaksanaan praktikum dan tes evaluasi belajar untuk memperoleh data tentang hasil belajar biologi siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keterlaksanaan praktikum biologi kelas XI SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Sidrap sebesar 61,35 berada pada kategori sedang dan hasil belajar rata-rata 61,36 berada pada kategori sedang. Analisis statistik inferensial yang digunakan ada tiga, yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Analisis data menggunakan uji t (sig. 2-tailed) 0,006 ≤ 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar biologi kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang dengan SMA Negeri 1 Pangsid di Kabupaten Sidrap. Perbedaan hasil belajar tersebut disebabkan karena tingkat keterlaksanaan praktikum masing-masing sekolah di Kabupaten Sidrap juga berbeda.

Abstract

Abstract: The study aimed to describe the diversity of flora in the UNM Gunung Sari Campus area. This research is qualitative descriptive research, namely research conducted by describing the research data that have been carried out systematically and accurately regarding the characteristics of higher plants with varied habitus, such as herbs, bushes, shrubs, and trees. The observation of plants was carried out by roaming method by exploring all research locations. The data collection techniques were conducted by carrying out direct identification in the field, and further identification for unknown species concerning literature/ books, identification keys, and plantNet applications. In addition, the documentation was carried out by taking pictures of each plant sample found, both habitus pictures and pictures of each organ. The results of the study revealed that the flora of the UNM Gunung Sari Campus area was quite diverse consisting of 121 species belonging to 51 families, representing all of the higher plants, Pinophyta division (open seed plant group/Gymnosperm) and Magnoliophyta division (closed seed plant group/ Angiosperm), included in the class of Magnoliopsida (Dicotyledon), class of Liliopsida (Monocotyledon). All of these species represent all habitus categories, namely herbs, bushes, shrubs, and trees. Thus, the flora in UNM Gunung Sari Campus Area is representative to serve as a source of learning for several Botany hump courses in the Department of Biology. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran keragaman flora di kawasan Kampus UNM Gunung Sari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menggambarkan dan mendeskripsikan data hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan secara sistematis dan akurat mengenai ciri-ciri tumbuhan tingkat tinggi dengan habitus bervariasi, seperti herba, semak, perdu, dan pohon. Pengamatan tumbuhan dilakukan dengan metode jelajah dengan menjelajahi seluruh lokasi penelitian. Teknik pengambilan data dengan melakukan identifikasi langsung di lapangan, dan identifikasi lanjutan untuk spesies yang belum diketahui dengan mengacu pada literatur/ buku, kunci identifikasi, dan aplikasi plantNet. Di samping itu dilakukan dokumentasi dengan pengambilan gambar setiap sampel tumbuhan yang ditemukan, baik gambar habitus maupun gambar setiap organ. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa flora Kawasan Kampus UNM Gunung Sari cukup beragam terdiri dari 121 species termasuk ke dalam 51 familia, mewakili tumbuhan tingkat tinggi yaitu divisio Pinophyta (tumbuhan biji terbuka/Gymnospermae) dan divisio Magnoliophyta (tumbuhan biji tertutup/Angiosperm), tercakup dalam classis Magnoliopsida (Dicotyledonae), classis Liliopsida (Monocotyledonae). Semua species tersebut mewakili kategori habitus, yaitu herba, semak, perdu, dan pohon. Dengan demikian flora pada Kawasan Kampus UNM Gunung Sari representatif untuk dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar beberapa mata kuliah Botani pada Jurusan Biologi.
