Abstract

Leadership based on the values of Islamic culture and local culture is a leadership concept that integrates universal values from Islamic teachings with local wisdom present in society. In this context, leadership emphasizes not only managerial skills but also moral aspects, ethics, and social responsibility aligned with religious teachings and local customs. This article aims to explore the concept and implementation of leadership based on Islamic and local cultural values, as well as the challenges faced in its application. Leadership in Islam stresses the principles of justice, wisdom, and simplicity, which are reflected in the behavior of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions, while local culture provides a context that strengthens social relations and solidarity within the community. Through a literature study, it is found that the application of leadership based on these cultural values can enhance interpersonal relationships, strengthen moral integrity, and create a harmonious work environment in various organizations, both in education and government sectors. However, effective implementation requires a deep understanding of the balance between religious teachings and local wisdom in the changing social context. Therefore, it is essential to adapt these leadership principles according to the dynamics of society without disregarding the core values inherent in both cultures.

Abstract

The era of Society 5.0 presents both challenges and opportunities for the education sector to integrate technology with humanistic values. Technology-based humanistic education focuses on developing students' character, emphasizing ethics, creativity, and adaptability, while also making wise use of technology. In this context, school principals play a strategic role as leaders who guide the transformation of education to align with the demands of the times. This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies of school principals in building technology-based humanistic education using a qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data was gathered from various sources, such as journals, books, and relevant documents. The findings reveal that the leadership strategies of school principals include empowering teachers in technology literacy, strengthening the humanistic culture in schools, and utilizing technology as a tool to support an inclusive learning process. This research provides strategic recommendations for school principals to optimize their roles in building an innovative, humanistic, and relevant education system in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Leadership is a crucial process within organizations, encompassing influence, motivation, and coordination to achieve collective goals. Leaders are not solely responsible for self-management but also guide others through skills in directing and inspiring actions. This paper discusses leadership definitions, origins, traits, and styles. Leadership theories, including the genetic theory emphasizing natural talent and the social theory prioritizing education and experience, are explored. Effective leadership depends on key characteristics such as intelligence, responsibility, honesty, and fairness. Leadership styles, like autocratic and laissez-faire, reveal contrasting approaches: one marked by strict control, the other by substantial freedom for subordinates. Ideal leadership balances situational and organizational needs to ensure efficient goal achievement.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of visionary leadership in improving the quality of education in a challenging global and local era. Through a literature study approach, this research analyzes various theories and findings related to the role of leadership in education. The results show that visionary leadership has a significant influence on improving the quality of education through innovation, long-term vision and adaptability. The research also identifies the main characteristics of effective visionary leadership and implementation strategies that can be applied in educational institutions. The conclusion of this study confirms that the implementation of visionary leadership is essential to build a quality and sustainable future for education.

Abstract

Educational leadership plays a crucial role in achieving high-performing schools, particularly in the context of the demand for holistic improvement in educational quality. Educational leadership acts as a catalyst in creating a conducive learning environment, directing school management effectively, and motivating all school stakeholders to achieve shared goals. This study aims to examine the concepts, fundamental principles, and implementation of effective educational leadership in managing high-performing schools. Additionally, this research analyzes the supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of educational leadership and proposes strategies to overcome the challenges encountered. The method employed is a literature review to gather relevant data and information. The findings indicate that effective educational leadership significantly contributes to enhancing teacher motivation and performance, fostering a positive school culture, and optimizing student achievement. These findings underscore the importance of active educational leadership in adopting innovative and adaptive strategies to create outstanding and competitive schools.

Abstract

This research aims to provide an understanding of the values of sincerity, obedience, khauf, and repentance. In addition, this article also discusses the application of special learning methods for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary / middle school level that are appropriate to instill the values that have been mentioned. This research is qualitative through a literature approach by examining various related literature. In the midst of the challenges of globalization that cause the erosion of religious values, the cultivation of these values is very important. The results of the study show that the method of lecture, ibrah, and exemplary is effective if used in instilling these values in students. The lecture method can play a role in conveying the material directly, while the ibrah and exemplary method can encourage student understanding through various stories and direct examples.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis inovasi pemimpinan dalam pembaharuan, serta mengukur keberhasilan seorang pemimpin dalam merealisasikan inovasi dalam pembaharuan di organisasi IPNU Kota Batu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap Ketua PC IPNU Kota Batu, Adi Yusuf S., selama periode 2020-2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan inovatif telah mendorong inovasi dalam kegiatan yang relevan serta menciptakan pembaharuan yang sempurna dan berkelanjutan. Dengan begitu terbentuklah organisasi yang maju dan berkembang. Keberhasilan kepemimpinan diukur dari kenyamanan anggota dalam organisasi serta kesinambungan program setelah masa kepemimpinan berakhir. Dengan begitu penting bagi pemimpin dapat meningkatkan motivasi anggota agar terus berperan aktif. (ukuran font 10, rata kanan-kiri, paragraf masuk kanan-kiri, 1 spasi).

Abstract

This research is motivated by gaps or challenges in applying the values and teachings of Ahlussunah Wal Jamaah (Aswaja) in the daily life of mahasantri in Mabna Ummu Salamah UIN Malang. This study aims to explore and analyze how mahasantri in Mabna Ummu Salamah Pusat Ma'had Al-Jamiah UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang actualize the teachings of Ahlussunah Wal Jamaah in their daily lives. This study uses a qualitative approach with participatory observation techniques and in-depth interviews with a number of mahasantri. The research findings reveal that the mahasantri in Mabna Ummu Salamah actively apply the teachings of Ahlussunah Wal Jamaah in their religious activities and daily lives. The form of actualization is applied whether through activities such as routine recitation, congregational prayer, dhikr, or also reflected in social ethics, leadership, or tolerance in the dormitory. They show sincerity in understanding and practicing the principles of this teaching, including adherence to the Quran and Sunnah, respect for scholars, and tolerance for differences of opinion. In addition, this study also identifies factors that influence the process of actualizing Ahlussunah Wal Jamaah teachings among mahasantri, including the educational environment, social influences, and the support of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study explored the role of democratic leadership, specifically as practiced by murabbiah within ma’had environments, in guiding female santri who were at risk of falling into negative social circles. The research examined the challenges faced by santri, including nicotine addiction and negative peer influence, which could threaten their values, faith, and sense of purpose. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study revealed that democratic leadership employed by murabbiah fostered open, supportive, and empathic communication. Through persuasive yet compassionate interactions, murabbiah were able to motivate santri to rediscover their potential and align their lives with positive religious and moral values. The findings indicated that such leadership not only addressed immediate behavioral issues but also contributed to the holistic development of the santri by strengthening their character, spirituality, and resilience.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of ICT-based media training in enhancing the competence of religious counselors. The training focuses on developing counselors' digital and communication skills, enabling them to proficiently create, manage, and utilize ICT media for religious education. Using a structured Service-Learning approach, the program consists of four stages: initial needs assessment and planning, implementation with a pre-assessment, post-training evaluation conducted via Google Forms, and subsequent mentoring to reinforce skill application. The results indicate significant advancements in counselors' ability to employ ICT media in engaging and relevant ways that align with modern educational demands. Through this training, counselors are better equipped to deliver religious content that appeals to a broad audience, thereby enhancing the accessibility and effectiveness of religious guidance in today’s digital environment. Findings demonstrate that ICT-based training serves as an effective method for equipping religious educators with vital digital skills, ultimately supporting their role in providing impactful religious counseling within contemporary contexts..
