Abstract

Abstrak- Cangkang telur ayam yang dihasilkan di Samarinda pada tahun 2013 yaitu 307,22 ton dan sebagian besar hanya dibuang begitu saja menjadi sampah. Pada penelitian ini cangkang tersebut diaktivasi secara fisika kemudian dimanfaatkan sebagai adsorben untuk menurunkan bilangan asam dan bilangan peroksida pada minyak jelantah. Proses adsorpsi minyak jelantah dilakukan dengan variasi massa adsorben yaitu 7, 8, 9 dan 10 gram dan waktu pengadukan selama 45, 60, dan 75 menit. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kondisi optimum untuk penurunan bilangan asam pada penggunaan massa adsorben sebesar 9 gram dan waktu pengadukan selama 60 menit menghasilkan bilangan asam sebesar 0,3923 mgKOH/g dengan penurunan bilangan asam sebesar 91%, sedangkan untuk bilangan peroksida mengalami penurunan sebesar 58% dengan nilai sebesar 7,516 mek O2/kg. Bilangan asam dan bilangan peroksida yang diperoleh pada kondisi optimum tersebut telah memenuhi standar SNI 3741-2013 untuk minyak goreng yaitu 0,6 mgKOH/g dan 10 mek O2/kg. Kata Kunci: adsorpsi, cangkang telur ayam, bilangan asam, bilangan peroksida, minyak jelantah  Abstract- Chicken egg shells produced in Samarinda in 2013, as much as 307.22 tons and mostly just dumped it into the trash. In this study, the shell activated and then used as an adsorbent for reducing the acid value and peroxide value on frying oil. Frying oil adsorption process was done by varying the mass of adsorbent that is 7, 8, 9 and 10 gram and time stirring for 45, 60 and 75 minutes. The research showed the optimum conditions for a decrease in acid number on the use of adsorbent mass of 9 grams and the time of stirring for 60 minutes to produce the acid value of 0.3923 mgKOH / g with a decrease in acid number of 91%, while for the peroxide value decreased by 58% with a value of 7.516 meq O2/kg. Numbers acid and peroxide obtained at the optimum condition has met the SNI 3741-2013 standards for edible oil is 0.6 mgKOH / g and 10 meq O2/kgKeywords: adsorption, chicken egg shells, acid value, peroxide value, frying oil

Abstract

Tulisan ini akan mengkaji secara khusus tentang keterampilan mengajar guru dan motivasi belajar siswa sebagai faktor yang diduga kuat mempengaruhi hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan regresi ganda dan korelasi product moment dimana data yang dikumpulkan melalui metode survey dengan menggunakan angket jawaban tertutup terhadap 54 Siswa pada salah satu Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Swasta di Bandung sebagai responden. Hasil analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan mengajar guru dan motivasi belajar siswa berkorelasi kuat terhadap hasil belajar secara parsial maupun simultan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan implikasi terhadap proses belajar mengajar dalam hal ini adalah guru dan siswa. Demikian pula pengkaji pendidikan untuk dapat mempertimbangkan keterampilan mengajar dan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel-variabel prediktor yang kuat dalam rangka meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang lebih baik. Kata Kunci: keterampilan mengajar guru, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar. TEACHERS TEACHING SKILLS AND STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION  AS A DETERMINANT OF THE LEARNING OUTCOMES This article will discuss teacher teaching skills and student learning motivation as the factors strongly assumed to influence learning outcomes. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis and product moment correlation of data collected through a survey method with a close-ended questionnaire distributed to 54 respondents in one of private vocational high school students in Bandung, it is found that teacher teaching skills and student learning motivation were strongly correlated with learning outcomes, both partially and simultaneously. The findings can have implications on the teaching and learning process, in this case teachers and students. The implications are also for education researchers to consider teaching skills and learning motivation as strong predictors or variables of better students? learning outcomes.Keywords: teachers teaching skills, learning motivation, learning outcomes.

Abstract

Materials for the denture base are generally made of heat cured acrylic resin. A dentist is obligated to give instructions about how to use and clean the dentures. One of the natural cleaning solution that can be used is rosella flower’s extract (Hibiscuss sabdariffa). The purpose of this research is to know the influence of rosella flower’s extract against the amount of Candida albicans. The design of this study is experimental laboratoris. The sample is made of heat cured acrylic resin with sizes 10x10x1 mm, 30 pieces divided into 5 groups of treatment with each of the sample test. Each test sample soaked in klorheksidin and rosella flower’s extract concentration 30%, 40%, 50%, and aquades for 15 minutes. The amount of Candida albicans on each specimen is calculated using one-way ANOVA to see the influence of soaking and LSD to see which treatments have a significant difference between groups. Plate test and rosella flower’s extract sterilized by autoclave 121 ° C for 1 hour and then put in saliva for 1 hour so that the test plate in accordance with the state of the oral cavity and rinsed with Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) for 2 times. Plate test later in contamination with Candida albicans by means of a tube inserted into erlenmeyer containing a suspension of Candida albicans, then incubated for 24 hours at 37 ° C. After 24 hours, the test plates are removed from the test tube and rinsed with PBS 2 times. Test plates were divided into five groups. Test results indicate that there is a difference of LSD influence between soaking with a rosella flower’s extract concentration 30% compared to 50% p = 0.0001 (p < 0.05) and there is a difference between rosella flower’s extracts concentration of 40% compared to 50% p = 0.0001 (p < 0.05). The result of this study concluded that soaking denture base heat cured acrylic resin with rosella flower’s extract concentration 50% have the same influence on klorheksidin in inhibiting the amount of Candida albicans.

Abstract

Abstract: The Using of Approach Realistics Mathematics Education (RME) in Increasing Mathematics Learning about Fractions the Class IV Grade Students Elementary School. The purpose of this research to describe the steps using of approach RME, to know increasing mathematics learning about fractions the class IV grade students elementary school and to find problems with solutions the using of approach RME. The subjects were elementary school students in class IV grade state Gunungmujil with total 26 students. Research carried out in three cycles with every cycle consist for planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are tests, observation, and documentation. The validity of data using triangulation method. Analysis of the data used by the qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result showed that the using of approach RME appropriate with steps can to increase mathematics learning about fractions the class IV grade students elementary school. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penggunaan pendekatan PMR, mengetahui peningkatan pembelajaran matematika tentang pecahan siswa kelas IV SD dan untuk menemukan kendala serta solusi dari penggunaan pendekatan PMR. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV SDN Gunungmujil sejumlah 26 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan metode triangulasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan PMR yang sesuai dengan langkah-langkah dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran matematika tentang pecahan siswa kelas IV SD.   Kata kunci: PMR, Pembelajaran Matematika, Pecahan.

Abstract

AbstrakThis research aimed to develop valid and appropriate test instruments to measura phonetical aspects of students’ mathaematical representation and communication in material about area and circumference of a circle. This research utilised formative research and development. The subjects of this study are tehe eight (VIII) grade students of SMP 9 Pontianak, during 2016/2017 academic year. There were 37 participants. The research found thet: (1) needs analusis found thar the teacher require to have test instruments that are suitable eith KTSP (education unit curriculum) due to differences between the old and test instruments that are being developed; (2) the validity of the test instruments about phonetical aspect of mathematic representation and communication of the aforementioned topic was 70%, reliability was 93%, distinguishing power was 32%, difficulty level was 32%, which can be categorized good; (3) in a 1-4 scoring scale, the students’ mathematical representation result showed thar, on average, top category students are 4, medium category students are3 and the bottom categorized students are 1. Keywords: Test Instrument, Representation Ability, Communicative Ability, Phonetical     Aspect

Abstract

This study aims to describe how to instill the value of religious pluralism at An Najah Student Boarding School Purwokerto and analyze how the student efforts in tackling religious conflict. The methodology used in this research is qualitative descriptive methods. In this study, several conclusions were drawn that the Kiyai at An Najah Islamic Boarding School instill the value of religious pluralism for santri through various activities either written  in the Islamic boarding school curriculum or not. Efforts made by santri to overcome conflicts between religious communities are by following organizations based on harmony and being tolerant towards all religious communities. A good understanding of a student towards religious pluralism makes them always able to select which behavior should be carried out and not cause religious conflict.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dan faktor penyebab kemampuan representasi matematis menurut tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tentang luas dan keliling lingkaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VIIIA SMPN 9 Pontianak. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan representasi sebagai berikut: (1) Kemampuan representasi enaktif pada siswa tingkat kemampuan atas disebabkan oleh penalaran yang rendah, pada representasi ikonik disebabkan oleh kesulitan koneksi, sedangkan pada representasi simbolik disebabkan oleh pemahaman konseptual yang rendah. (2) Kemampuan representasi enaktif pada siswa tingkat kemampuan menengah disebabkan oleh penalaran yang rendah, pada representasi ikonik disebabkan oleh penalaran rendah, sedangkan pada representasi simbolik disebabkan oleh pemahaman konseptual yang rendah. (3) Kemampuan representasi enaktif pada siswa tingkat kemampuan bawah disebabkan oleh ketidaklancaran prosedural, pada representasi ikonik disebabkan oleh kesalahan konsep, sedangkan pada representasi simbolik disebabkan oleh daya ingat yang lemah.   Kata Kunci : representasi matematis, kemampuan, faktor penyebab Abstract: This study is aimed to determine the ability and factors that caused the mathematical representation according to students’ competence level in solving problems of area and perimeter of a circle. The method used was descriptive research in case study design. The subjects of research were students of grade VIIIA of SMPN 9 Pontianak. The results showed that the factors that caused low capacity of representation as follows: (1) Student who had a high competency level in enactive representation is caused by low of reasoning; the iconic representation is caused by difficulties in connection, while the symbolic representation is caused by a low conceptual understanding. (2) Student who had an intermediate competency level in enactive representation is caused by low of reasoning; the iconic representation is caused by low of reasoning, while the symbolic representation is caused by a low conceptual understanding. (3) Student who had a low competency level in enactive representation is caused by procedural disfluencies, the iconic representation is caused by the misconceptions, while the symbolic representation due to weak memory.   Keywords: Mathematical Representations, Tendency, Influenced  Factors

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative case study is to conduct an analysis of the code patterns in verbal communication along with factors of bilingual communication expression. Methods of data collection include notetaking and careful listening to what is being said. Data was analyzed using the steps of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The findings show that there are 12 patterns of code switching and 7 patterns of code mixing in verbal communication. Factors that contribute to these patterns include the same mother tongue background, the speakers' desire to use correct diction, and the habits and flexibility of speech act participants in communicating. According to the findings, to effectively communicate in a bilingual setting, it is essential to understand both the literal and figurative meanings of the words being used. The scope of this investigation is restricted to language code patterns in preparation for a more exhaustive forthcoming study focusing on the historical linguistics of Arabic usage.

Abstract

The 21st century is becoming a century of globalization. Still, the 2022 PISA survey states that Indonesian students have low science literacy, ranked 64 out of 81 countries. Hence, it is necessary to develop scientific knowledge and epistemic beliefs not to be left behind by the times. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and level of teacher understanding of epistemic beliefs and implications for learning science based on socio-scientific issues. The research used a qualitative study, and data were collected through interviews, observations, and tests. Eight science teachers responded to be analyzed using the constant comparison method by applying Nvivo media to support data analysis. The results showed relatively few teachers have an epistemic understanding of science learning. Hence, teachers generally believe that scientific inquiry must begin with questions and that the perceptions and biases of researchers strongly influence scientific conclusions. The novelty of this research lies in the research design and efforts that can be applied to improve the epistemic understanding of teachers, namely by presenting programs for pre-service and in-service teachers, providing regular workshops, and offering internships or research experiences to science teachers.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Angka fatalitas kasus COVID-19 antara 2%, dan 3% pada Januari 2020, dan memperkirakan rasio fatalitas infeksi rata rata (IFR, mortalitas di antara yang terinfeksi) berkisar antara 0,8% - 0,9%. Hingga pada tanggal 30 Juni 2020, CFR adalah sebesar 4,9%. Dengan risiko penyebaran yang sangat tinggi, COVID-19 dapat berdampak pada aspek keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan pencegahan dan mitigasi COVID-19 di PT. PELINDO III Cabang Tanjung Emas Semarang. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan panduan wawancara, lembar studi dokumen dan lembar observasi. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari manajer HSSE, manajer operasional dan perwakilan pekerja. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 31 indikator Penerapan Tindakan Pencegahan dan Mitigasi COVID-19 di PT. PELINDO III Cabang Tanjung Emas Semarang, indikator yang sudah diterapkan sebanyak 90,33% (28 indikator), indikator yang sudah diterapkan namun belum sesuai dengan standar sebanyak 6,45% (2 indikator) dan yang belum terlaksana sebanyak 3,22% (1 indikator). Kesimpulan: Penerapan pencegahan dan mitigasi COVID-19 di PT. PELINDO III Cabang Tanjung Emas Semarang sudah sesuai dengan semua poin pada standar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini
