Abstract

In particular, this study aimed at investiating to what extent the conditions and dominat cators, affecting in the headmaster’ instructional leadership competencies, for each potential disaster state elementary school in district of Magelang, the researchers used mixed methods studies that involve integrating quantitative (the preliminary data) and qualitaive (the further date)descriptive date analysis.  The respondents of this study were the headmasters’ with their role as instructional leader of their state elementary schools. Based om the finding of qualitative descriptive analysis, the condition of the headmasters’ instructional leadeship competencies at potencial disaster state elemetary school of Krinjing 2 Magelang, was in good category. A totalscore headmasters’ instructional leaderships competencies obtained inm this study is 922. The total score was then compareted to the maximum score to know how many percent the headmasters’competencies analyzed. The result showed the total competency is 82,59%. The dominant factors affecting in the headmasters’ instructional leadership competencies are: 1) the headmaster  as an instructional leader should has clear and understandable the organizational vision, 2) there is an effort getting near to the students, 3)involving teacher in decision making and so forth, 4)creating a steady/fixed curiculum, and it should be dynamic, 5)making a strong and profitable school cooperation network

Abstract

Getting to know students became a crucial in teaching that teachers often did not consider about. This study aimed at collectinginformation related to early-elementary grade students experiencing a data-based learning. Then, teachers were expected to knowthe characteristics of their students as a reference to improve the quality of teaching and learning. The subjects of the study were50 students. They were all early-elementary grade students of MI Annur from first up to third grades. Data triangulationwas employed for assuring the validity. The technique of data analysis was qualitative descriptive explaining three components,including (1) awareness of learning; (2) awaereness of feelings; (3) and visionary thinking. The results revealed that on thefirst components most of the students prefered to play and learn as easy activities. They learned better when they were pleased.On the second components they were able to manage their socio-emotional condition seen from the answers related to their likesand dislikes, interests, and from their ability to express a happiness as the one they needed during their learning. On the thirdcomponents, the results revealed that most of them had goals achieved in learning. Besides, they were able to appropriately choosethe TV programs well-suited to their developmental levels. The results led us to have deeper understanding that knowing ourstudents really matters for building a conducive classroom climate.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a model of moral cultivation in adolescents in the form of practical books that can be used as a guide for teachers, counselors, parents, students and practitioners based on need assessment problems by involving stakeholders in the preparation and accompaniment. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research. This research lasted 2 years. In the first year, a study was carried out on a moral inculcation model that had been carried out and a survey of moral behavior in adolescents that became a crucial issue. Furthermore, various models of moral cultivation interventions in adolescents are combined with the values of adolescent karaker values which are priorities for completion. In this study, a qualitative descriptive method was used to collect data while the counseling model for adolescents used the literature review and evaluative methods, so that drafted models and book models of moral cultivation were arranged in adolescents. The moral cultivation model consists of 5 stages namely habituation, observation, example, consequences and coaching.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat Terpadu (PPMT) ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat agar memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam mengantisipasi penularan Covid-19 sehingga berdampak pada memutus rantai penyebaran Covid-19. Selain itu masyarakat mampu mandiri meningkatkan ketahanan hidup dengan perilaku hidup sehat dan bermasyarakat sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini dengan menjadi relawan di posko Satgas Covid-19, melakukan pendampingan protokol kesehatan dan membagikan sabun cuci tangan gratis kepada masyarakat sebagai upaya untuk mencegah penyebaran Covid-19. Tidak hanya itu saja, pendampingan pembuatan disinfektan dan penyemprotan berkala dirumah warga dilakukan sebagai bentuk upaya preventif . Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah tumbuhnya kemandirian masyarakat untuk secara sadar berpartisipasi melakukan upaya preventif dalam pencegahan penyebaran virus Covid-19. Hal ini tampak pada perilaku masyarakat untuk antisipasi penyebaran yaitu memakai masker, menjaga jarak dan mencuci tangan dengan sabun pada air mengalir sebelum dan sesudah melakukan kegiatan. Keberhasilan pengabdian ini salah satunya adalah keterlibatan penuh tim pengabdian menjadi relawan, sehingga pelaksanaan kegiatan PPMT ini mampu memberikan penguatan peran untuk mewujudkan desa tangguh Covid-19.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan sebagai wujud kontribusi Unimma untuk pencegahan penularan Covid-19, pemutusan rantai penyebaran Covid-19 dan meningkatkan ketahanan masyarakat untuk siaga dan sigap, sehingga menjadi desa tangguh menghadapi bencana wabah Covid-19. Pendekatan participatory rural appraisal diaplikasikan dalam studi pengabdian ini. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah membagikan masker dan sabun pada masyarakat; penyemprotan disinfektan guna mensterilkan lingkungan dusun dari virus Covid-19; membagikan sembako; dan menjaga posko Covid-19 selama 30 hari. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam bentuk kebiasaan seusai protokol Kesehatan, semangat saling menjaga dan gotong royong kebutuhan selama pandemi. Selama kegiatan ini berlangsung, masih ada warga yang belum mengetahui bahaya virus Covid-19 dan masih terdapat juga warga yang menganggap remeh virus Covid-19.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada metode pembelajaran Read Aloud berbantuan media flashcard dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana metode Read Aloud berbantuan media flashcard dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Berkaitan dengan tujuan tersebut, jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan tes yang dilakukan dalam 2 kali siklus pada tanggal 25 Oktober 2023 di SD Tumbuh 4, Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Melalui dua kali siklus peneliti menemukan data-data berupa skor hasil tes indicator ketercapaian penelitian. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan metode analisis komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan metode Read Aloud berbantuan media flashcard dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan skor yang diperoleh siswa dari siklus 1 yang meningkat di siklus 2, dimana setiap siswa dapat mencapai skor 3 yang menjadi indicator keberhasilan membaca permulaan.

Abstract

Low literacy within Muslim families can seriously affect developing individuals and society. This study aims to test the effectiveness of a new model of Islamic parenting based on family religiousness to address the low literacy issue in Muslim families. Using a mixed-method with triangulation design, in Study 1, researchers conducted action research by delivering a six-session parent training program to 10 women with children aged 11 years old, grouped into high and low-literate families. Practice at home, guided by facilitators, followed each session. Data were collected using interviews and parents’ reflection journals and were analyzed using content analysis. In Study 2, concurrently with Study 1, a quasi-experimental research was conducted using a one-group pre-test and post-test design to test the model’s effectiveness. Before and after the programs, the researchers administered the Family Literacy Questionnaire to the women and the Literacy Activity Questionnaire to their children. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to examine differences between pre-test and post-test scores. The program was perceived as impactful and highly appreciated by the participants, who expected its continuation in the future. The hypothesis test results indicated that the Islamic parenting model improved family literacy (p=0.043) and the literacy activities of their children (p=0.039). The Islamic parenting model effectively enhanced women’s family literacy in low literacy groups and children’s literacy activity in both groups. This finding can be widely implemented to provide parents with understanding and skills to support their children’s literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatkan pemahaman konsep dasar IPA pada siswa kels VI di SD Tumbuh 2 Yogyakarta melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu Quizizz. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan beberapa tahapan antara lain: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI SD Tumbuh 2 Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 14 siswa menggunakan analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siklus I mencapai 64% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebanyak 85,71%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu Quizizz bisa membantu siswa dalam mencapai pemahaman kosep dasar IPA untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dan hasil belajar yang optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) berbantuan media pembelajaran Multiply Cards terhadap kemampuan berhitung siswa kelas III MI Muhammadiyah Al Muttaqien Kabupaten Sleman. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung siswa dengan model STAD. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif desain pre-experimental design tipe one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian populasi karena semua siswa kelas III menjadi subjek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa 30 soal pilihan ganda yang dijadikan sebagai soal pretest dan posttest siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Keseluruhan data berdistribusi normal ditunjukkan dengan uji normalitas. Uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan antara nilai pretest dimana nilai posttest lebih tinggi dari pada nilai posttest. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistic inferensial dengan mengguankan uji-t dapat diketahui bahwa t-hitung sebesar 9,302 dengan (df) sebesar 17 pada taraf dignifikasi 0,05 diperoleh ttabel 2,110. Maka thitung > ttabel = 9,302 > 2,110 maka diperoleh 0,00 < 0,05 dengan demikian  diterima dan  ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) berbantuan media pembelajaran Multiply Cards efektif diterapkan karena dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung siswa kelas III MI Muhammadiyah Al Muttaqien Kabupaten Sleman.

Abstract

The main problem identified in this study was the low ability to communicate in everyday Javanese in school and home environments. To overcome this problem, the study used a role-playing learning model approach. This study aims to improve Javanese language skills, especially undha-usuk basa, among grade IV students of SDN Pabelan 3. This study was conducted by involving grade IV teachers and 15 students. The research method used is mixed with a type of classroom action research. Over the two cycles, data were collected through activities, written tests, observations, interviews, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed a significant improvement in students' basic skills after applying the role-playing learning model. This change is reflected in the percentage increase in the learning process, pretest results, cycle I posttest, and cycle II posttest. This study emphasizes the importance of support from families and teachers in helping students practice communicating in Javanese following undha-usuk basa. This is expected to form positive student character, such as a sense of care, love, and pride in their local language. Therefore, maintaining and improving Javanese language skills is essential in preserving the language and culture of the region.
