Abstract

IKHTISAR: Pendidikan karakter akan berhasil seiring dengan pendidikan multikultural, yang di dalamnya terkandung nilai-nilai universal. Pendidikan karakter, melalui proses pendidikan multikultural, akan menghasilkan manusia yang bermutu, berakhlak mulia, dan berkepribadian, yang tidak hanya mengandalkan kecerdasan intelektual tetapi juga kecerdasan sosial, emosi, dan religiusitas. Pendidikan karakter dan multikultural, dengan demikian, merupakan dua hal yang penting bagi bangsa Indonesia. Pendidikan karakter akan bermuara pada kepribadian yang khas, sementara pendidikan multikultural merupakan pendekatan yang progresif dalam rangka transformasi pendidikan untuk merespons kritik dan kebijakan serta praktek pendidikan secara umum. Bisa dikatakan bahwa hasil pendidikan multikultural adalah terbentuknya karakter yang diharapkan oleh empat pilar pendidikan dari UNESCO (United Nations for Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization); dan implementasinya di Indonesia dapat diwujudkan untuk mengamalkan Pancasila, mencapai cita-cita dalam UUD (Undang-Undang Dasar) 1945, menjaga keutuhan NKRI (Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia), dan mempererat kebersamaan dan kekompakan masyarakat Indonesia seperti diinginkan oleh semboyan negara, yaitu Bhinneka Tunggal Ika atau berbeda-beda namun tetap satu juga.KATA KUNCI: Pendidikan karakter, pendidikan multikultural, kesatuan dalam keragaman, serta empat pilar pendidikan dan kebangsaan di Indonesia.ABSTRACT: This paper entitled “Character and Multicultural Educations: The pillars of Education and Nationalism in Indonesia”. Character education will be managed in line with multicultural education, in which it is containing the universal values. Character education, through the process of multicultural education, will produce quality human, noble, and personality, which is not only accentuated to intellectual but also rely on social intelligence, emotional, and religiosity. Character education and multicultural, however, are two things that are important to the nation of Indonesia. Character education will lead to the distinctive personality, while multicultural education is a progressive approach to the transformation of education in order to respond to criticism and education policies and practices in general. It can be said that the result of multicultural education is the formation of character education as expected by the four pillars of UNESCO (United Nations for Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization); and its implementation in Indonesia can be realized for implementing the Pancasila, achieving the ideals based on the Constitution 1945, maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State ofthe Republic of Indonesia, and strengthen the unity and cohesiveness of Indonesian society as desired by the state motto, Unity in Diversity, or it is different but still one too. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sastra lisan berupa mantra berdasarkan konteks dan teks yang ada pada masyarakat dusun Dadapan. Melalui teori Albert b. Lord sebagai acuan utama dapat dipahami bahwa untuk mengkaji sebuah sastra lisan berupa mantra perlu melihat konteks yang mendasari lahirnya sebuah mantra. untuk itu diperlukan konteks performance yang mendasari munculnya teks mantra. Transmisi, komposisi dan formula teks mantra merupakan kajian teks bahwa teks mantra akan tetap eksis ketika ada transmisi dan komposisi sehingga dapat diketahui formula yang dipakai penutur. Berdasarkan hal tersebut muncul fungsi mantra dalam ritual kenduri bagi masyarakat dusun Dadapan baik fungsi Individu maupun sosial.

Abstract

Study on language and culture put language as an act and means to fulfill the act. As an act and the means, language conveys many functions. Ideology functions are one of language function resulted from an assumption that particular language feature conveys ideology dimension of a society, in Santoso (2007). Ideology is a reflection of social values which are a consensus. Jidor Sentulan is a literary performance done through dialogic narrating through which tradition and culture are held firmly. This study aimed at describing ideology function of Jidor Sentulan in Jombang. Ethno linguistic analysis describes some language features to reveal values of Javanese cultural wisdom as the ideology of people in Jombang. Results of the study found several language features that represent the values of Javanese cultural wisdom found in Sentulan Jidor of Jombang, they are: (1) lexical process includes (i) lexicalization, (ii) less lexical, and (iii) more lexical; and (iv) modalities, implicature, and terms of address. (2) Awareness functions include (i) function of friendship and brotherhood, (ii) function of the spirit and hard work, (iii) function of social care for the environment, and (iv) function of ideology and religious. The results of the study might be useful to preserve values of local wisdom.

Abstract

This research is based on the urgent need to safeguard the continuation of local cultureswhen faced to any foreign culture’s existence which can easily turn invasive in the midst of 4.0 industrial era and modernization. The balian songs have their own roles and functions that can be recorded as digital-archieve as one of concrete ways to safeguard local cultures in this 4.0 industrial era. The balian welcoming song is sung as both the expression of joy and honor to all the guests attending and walking down the aisle to the bridegrooms. Its common functions are, among others: 1) opening the wedding ceremony while parading the groom to the bride’s house; 2) guarding or protecting the groom from various potential misfortunes and or dangers coming from outsider parties; and 3) showing that the groom belongs to higher, or mid to upper, social and economic classes. The balian song of advice is sung to accompany the groom walking down the aisle. The role is to help the groom steeling his heart and thus readying him to make any lovesake’s sacrifice for his future wife. The advice song functions, among other: 1) to open the pantun (local couplets equivalent to those of traditional English) to intentionally put off the upcoming groom, for such delay is deemed necessary to show the couple’s readiness to make common sacrifice in their later household and 2) to better prepare the future husband’s perseverance to overcome any oncoming difficulties. Thus, the digital recording and archieving of balian songs require both the government and society’s utmost cares and immediate acts as that digitalization of cultural assets can help protecting various Maanyanese Dayak’s cultural heritage, especially the balian songs, to all future generations.

Abstract

This article is based on the results of oral literature research on the slopes of Kawi. Object presented is the ikrar kajat conducted by Mbah Ngari, one of the speakers of oral tradition in the village of Gondowangi in Wagir district. Verbal data was collected using field research methods, interview techniques and video documentation. Data analysis is focused on studying the formula ikrar kajat. The result is video documentation that has been completed by subtitles. The greeting and demand formula is the main element in the pledge narrative.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a problem-solving about students’ reluctance in speaking activities to express thoughts and feelings in SD Insan Amanah. There were several problems that inhibit the students’ speaking skills, namely fear of expressing, difficulties in facing many people (stage fright), wrong perceptions, and lack of contextual understanding. The drama method is impressive since it attracts people, which may encourage an unpredictable power when people perform it together. During the process, the students were expected to increase speaking skills; namely, the students are capable of speaking with proper pronunciation, intonation, and expressions. The research data source was the students’ work in the form of structural cards and drama scripts. The data collection in this study was employed through observation format, field note format, structural cards, and drama scripts. Meanwhile, the data analysis was implemented through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Peer observation and examination were conducted to test the data validity. Based on the research findings, in general, it can be concluded that the speaking skills learning through drama method of the fifth graders in SD Insan Amanah Malang were proved to increase. In Cycle I, only 35% of students succeeded. However, in Cycle II, there was an increase in 90% of students who succeeded in Basic Competence of "playing the drama role with proper pronunciation, intonation, and expression," meanwhile 10% of students had not succeeded.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce writing fable text teaching materials contains living values on seventh grade which developed by referring to the elements of contect, systematics, language, and display design. The model used is the development of 4D. The results are (1) based on the feasibility test of this resource is feasible and ready to be implemented and (2) there is significant influence in learning writing fable text.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar menulis teks fabel bermuatan nilai kehidupan pada kelas VII yang dikembangkan dengan berpedoman pada unsur isi, sistematika, kebahasaan, dan desain tampilan. Model yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan 4D. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah (1) berdasarkan uji kelayakan bahan ajar ini layak dan siap untuk diimplementasikan serta (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks fabel.

Abstract

The use of increasingly diverse language, it is because they want or do not want the language we use will definitely be contaminated with the language of all regions in Indonesia and even discuss international languages. Therefore this article seeks to know the style of male language in communication through social media facebook, especially for the community of artists in Malang. In particular how the shape and meaning of language style male artist community in facebook? Style of language used male artist in the city of Malang is a stylistic comparison that is widely used is the "personification" of the style of figurative language depicting inanimate objects or goods lifeless as if it has human nature and "simile "in comparison of two things that are essentially different and deliberately considered equal.Penggunaan bahasa semakin beragam, hal ini karena mau atau tidak mau bahasa yang kita gunakan pasti akan terkontaminasi dengan bahasa dari seluruh daerah di Indonesia dan bahkan bahas-bahasa internasional. Untuk itu artikel ini berusaha mengetahui gaya bahasa laki-laki dalam komunikasi melalui media sosial facebook khususnya untuk para komunitas seniman di Malang Raya. khususnya bagaimana bentuk dan makna gaya bahasa laki-laki komunitas seniman dalam facebook? Gaya bahasa yang digunakan seniman laki-laki di kota Malang adalah Gaya bahasa perbandingan yang banyak digunakan adalah ”personafikasi” yaitu gaya bahasa kiasan yang menggambarkan benda-benda mati atau barang-barang yang tidak bernyawa seolah-olah memiliki sifat-sifat kemanusiaan dan ”simile” yaitu perbandingan dua hal yang pada hakikatnya berlainan dan yang sengaja dianggap sama.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the tolerant behavior contained in poems by high school students. This research uses a qualitative approach based on the theory of sociological literature. The results showed that tolerant behavior contained in poems by students in the form of (1) respecting others, (2) accepting and valuing differences, (3) being open to others, and (4) accepting differences of opinion. Tolerant behavior in poetry high school students tends to be aimed at the closest people, namely mothers and friends. Tolerant behavior is also aimed not only at fellow human beings but also at other living things.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku toleran yang terdapat dalam puisi karya siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berdasarkan teori sosiologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku toleran yang terdapat dalam puisi karya siswa berupa (1) menghargai orang lain, (2) menerima dan menghargai perbedaan, (3) bersikap terbuka terhadap orang lain, dan (4) menerima perbedaan pendapat. Perilaku toleran dalam puisi karya siswa SMA cenderung ditujukan kepada orang terdekat, yakni ibu dan sahabat. Perilaku toleran juga ditujukan tidak hanya kepada sesama manusia, namun juga kepada makhluk hidup lain.

Abstract

Characters in the short story is the bearer of the mandate want delivered author. From the collection of short stories "Lukisan Kaligrafi", transcendental attitude as the implications of believing in God is reflected from the recognition of the existence of absolute norms of the God by the characters in the stories. These norms are divided into (a) taubatan nasuha (repentance undertaken on the awareness deepest heart with a determination not to repeat the sin), (b) wara' (away or leave everything unclear about the haram and halal), and (c) ridha or rida (accept what has been decreed by God, either painful or pleasant).Tokoh dalam cerpen merupakan pengemban amanat yang ingin disampaikan pengarang. Dari kumpulan cerpen Lukisan Kaligrafi, sikap transenden sebagai implikasi beriman kepada Tuhan tergambar dari pengakuan adanya norma-norma mutlak dari Tuhan oleh tokoh dalam cerita. Norma-norma tersebut terbagi menjadi (a) taubatan nasuha (tobat yang dilakukan atas kesadaran hati terdalam disertai tekad tidak mengulangi perbuatan dosa), (b) wara’ (menjauhi atau meninggalkan segala hal yang belum jelas haram dan halalnya), dan (c) ridha atau rida (menerima apa saja yang telah ditetapkan Tuhan, baik yang menyusahkan maupun menyenangkan).
