Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the process of creative thinking of students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukoharjo who have the type of cognitive style field-independent (FI) and field-dependent (FD) in the mathematics problems posing on Wallas steps, namely preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. This research was a case study. The data collection techniques conducted by using think aloud method. The results showed that the process of creative thinking on: (1) the FI students, namely (a) the preparation, students read silently APP (assignment problem posing), observe the instructions and image information carefully, and students can know the things that are known on first reading of APP; (b) incubation, the students tend to be silent for a moment, it is as a start in developing a mathematical problem; (c) illumination, the students determine the attributes and the things that will be proposed to the problem, students verbalize the problem as he bowed his head, after that, the students write the problem in the worksheet and if something goes wrong on the issues raised, the students tend to immediately fix the problem; (d) verification, the students correct mathematical issues raised, explain the troubleshooting procedures and resolving the issues raised at worksheet, students corrected back problems and the settlement has been made; (2) Students FD, namely (a) the preparation, students read silently APP, observe the instructions and image information on the APP, to find the information and the things that are known, students need to read back the APP; (b) incubation, the students tend to be silent for a moment, this is the first step in preparing mathematics problems, in this step, students were less calm and worried while playing both hands; (c) illumination, the students determine the attributes and things to issues raised by several silent, students write the problem in the worksheet and if something goes wrong on the issues raised, the students tend to replace the problem; (d) verification, the student explains the troubleshooting procedures and resolves the issues raised at worksheet, students corrected the solved problem and solution.Keywords: creative thinking, problems posing, and cognitive style.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the influence of the PjBL model in understanding the mathematical concepts of elementary school students. The study involved two classes, one class as an experimental class given the PjBL model treatment and one class as an untreated control class with the PjBL learning model. The design of this study uses Posttest-Only Control Designe. Data collection using test techniques. Test techniques are conducted to obtain data about understanding the mathematical concept of students. Data analysis is done using Paired Sample . Based on data analysis and discussion it is known that  to 1.71387. In accordance with the interpretation of , the hypothesis was received if the  > , with the result 4.13 > 1.71387 then  rejected. It can be concluded that understanding the concept of learners that are taught with the PjBL model is higher compared to the average understanding of students' concepts that do not use the PjBL model, so it can be concluded that there are Positive influence on the use of PjBL model to understand the concept of students of elementary school in Pesis district.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model on the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type reviewed from students? self efficacy toward mathematics learning outcomes. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Integrating Society, Science, Environment, Technology, and Collaborative Mind Mapping (ISSETCM2) dan multiple intelligences siswa terhadap penalaran matematis. Quasi eksperimental design adalah jenis penelitian yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain post-test only control. Teknik sampling dilakukan secara acak (random sampling). Teknik pengumpulan data berupa soal tes uraian kemampuan penalaran matematis pada materi statistika dan angket multiple intelligences. Uji hipotesis dengan ANAVA dua jalan dengan taraf siginfikan . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran ISSETCM2 terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis, tidak terdapat pengaruh multiple intelligences siswa terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis, dan tidak terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran ISSETCM2 dan multiple intelligences siswa terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and determine the feasibility, response of students, and the effectiveness of STEM-based digital pocket book on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in algebraic and PLSV forms of material. The subjects of this study were students of class VII SMP/MTs. This type of research is Research and Development (RD) using the ADDIE model which includes 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collection instrument in this study was a validation questionnaire given to expert validators and a student response questionnaire. The results of the validation data analysis from the material expert and media expert were respectively found to have a mean value of 3.87 and 3.54 so that the digital pocket book was declared in the suitable category. The results of the analysis of the attractiveness response test data obtained a mean final score of 3.43 for small group trials and 3.6 for large group trials so that the digital pocket book developed was very interesting to use. The test of the effectiveness of STEM-based digital pocket books on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts could not be carried out because of limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic which also had an impact on the learning process in schools. Therefore, this research and development is only carried out until the development stage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini termasuk dalam penenlitian eksperimen, yang mengambil dua kelompok sebagai sampel penelitian. Satu kelompok sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan model pembelajaran mind mapping dan satu kelompok sebagai kelas kontrol yang tidak diberi model pembelajaran mind mapping. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen posttest. Posttest tersebut digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa setelah diberi perlakuan dalam pembelajaran tematik tema 9 sub tema 1 tentang kekayaan sumber energi di indonesia) Kelas IV SD Negeri 2 kampung baru tahun pelajaran 2018. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan menggunakan uji t-test. Dari data hasil analisis dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada tema 9 sub-tema 1 kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru Tahun Pelajaran 2018. Adanya perbedaan yang signifikan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan menggunakan model pembelajaran mind mapping pada kelas IV A berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar tematik dibandingkan dengan model kelas yang tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran mind mapping pada kelas IV B SDN 2 Kampung Baru Tahun Pelajaran 2018.

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to find out the difference in effectiveness between WEE model with QSH strategy and conventional learning, the difference between high, medium and low Self Regulation, and the interaction between learning model and Self Regulation towards the student’s ability of understanding mathematical concept. This research was Quasy Experiment, population were all of Class X Science SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung academic year 2018/2019. The sample class used were two classes by using technique Cluster Random Sampling. Hypothesis testing using two-way ANOVA with . The results of this research were: (1)WEE model with QSH strategy more effective than conventional model learning towards the student’s ability of understanding mathematical concept. (2)The ability to understand mathematical concept with high Self Regulation is better than medium and low Self Regulation, whereas there was no difference between medium and low Self Regulation. (3)There was no interaction between learning model and Self Regulation towards the student’s ability of understanding mathematical concept.

Abstract

The mathematical understanding of learners is one of the successful mathematical subjects. To make a success from a math lesson that one aspect of it is mathematical understanding. To increase the mathematical understanding of learners, it is necessary to develop a decent, attractive and effective mathematical teaching material. So the purpose of this research is to develop MATCOM-based materials to improve the understanding of students math Class VII Junior high School in Bandar Lampung. This research includes research and Development (R&D) studies and uses ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery, and Evaluation) procedures in its development. Data retrieval techniques are carried out with polls and tests. As for the research instrument used is a feasibility questionnaire, response questionnaire and a test of understanding of the concept. The results showed that MATCOM-based teaching materials gained an average score of 3.56 eligibility for material experts and 3.56 for media experts with decent criteria. And gained an average score of 3.65 with very interesting criteria. And based on the effective test results of MATCOM-based teaching materials have a score of 0.54 with moderate Kateogri. So it can be concluded that MATCOM based teaching materials are very decent and attractive and able to enhance the mathematical understanding of class VII Junior high School in Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Islamic values have been recognized as the positive values need to be integrated in enhancing learning competencies including problem-solving skills. This study aimed to determine the influence of learning inquiry model based on Islamic values toward problem-solving skills of tenth-grade students in Bandar Lampung. This quasi-experimental research used posttest only control group design. The treatment for the experimental group used guided inquiry learning model based on Islamic values, whereas the direct instruction learning model was applied in control group. The students’ problem-solving skills data were collected using a test. The data was analyzed using independent samples t-test. The results showed that there was a significant influence of guided inquiry learning model based on Islamic values toward students’ problem-solving skills, t(58) = 2.807, p < .05. The integration of Islamic values in the biology learning process can promote students’ problem-solving skills. Therefore guided inquiry learning model based on Islamic values can be an alternative model in empowering students’ problem-solving skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) learning model with mnemonic techniques on students' creative thinking skills and metacognitive awareness. The research method was a quasi-experimental design. Data on creative thinking skills were collected using essay test instruments and metacognitive awareness using questionnaires. This research was conducted on the eighth-grade students of a secondary school in Tulang Baawang Lampung with a sample of 60 students taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis technique was two-way ANOVA. Based on the test results, the first hypothesis is shown F(2) = 12.92, p < .05, the CORE learning model affects mnemonic techniques on students' creative thinking abilities. The second hypothesis shows F(2) = 19.97, p < .05, the high, medium, and low metacognitive awareness categories affect students' creative thinking abilities. The third hypothesis shows that F(4) = 1.65, p < .05, there is no interaction between the CORE learning model and mnemonic techniques with metacognitive awareness of students' creative thinking abilities. The impact of this research is the model can be a solution for mathematics teaching and learning.
