Abstract

One of the way to recycle heavy metals in the prevention of environmental pollution is by using a solid-liquid extraction method through the impregnation mechanism of chelating agent in the adsorbent to increase its ability to bind heavy metal ions. In this study, the impregnation of fatty hydroxamic acids (FHA) successfully carried out on active natural zeolite (ZAA). This is has been done to increase the maximum adsorption capacity of ZAA towards heavy metals. The purpose of this study was to examine the adsorption ability of FHA impregnated onto ZAA as a chelating agent in copper metal ions by using column chromatography. This column contains FHA, which synthesized from crude rice bran oil and impregnated onto ZAA. There are several parameters were investigated, they are, the effect of FHA concentration, mass of FHA-ZAA resin and pH of the metal ion sample. From this study, the concentration of FHA impregnated on the zeolite surface reached 41.60%. The optimum conditions for Cu(II) adsorption by FHA-ZAA were as follows: mass ratio of FHA-ZAA resin with Cu(II) concentration (g : ppm) was 1:100 and the optimum condition of Cu(II) ion was at pH 5

Abstract

Asam lemak hidroksamat (Fatty Hydroxamic Acids/FHA) telah berhasil di sintesis dari minyak mentah dedak padi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sintesis asam lemak hidroksamat dari minyak mentah dedak padi secara enzimatis dan menentukan kondisi optimumnya, yang meliputi tiga tahap pengerjaan yaitu tahap preparasi minyak, tahap optimasi sintesis dan tahap karakterisasi. Pada tahap preparasi minyak diperoleh rendemen minyak mentah dedak padi sebanyak 23%. Pada tahap optimasi didapatkan kondisi optimum untuk sintesis asam lemak hidroksamat dari minyak mentah dedak padi adalah pada suhu 35oC selama 25 jam dengan perbandingan lipase (gram) : hidroksilamin (mmol) sama dengan 1 : 500 dan perbandingan enzim lipase (gram) : minyak mentah dedak padi (gram) sama dengan 1 : 75. Jumlah gugus asam hidroksamat dalam 1 gram sampel kering asam lemak hidroksamat adalah 2,98 mmol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji warna dengan Cu(II) dan Fe(III) didapatkan warna kompleks yang khas untuk kedua logam tersebut dengan asam lemak hidroksamat yaitu warna hijau dan merah tua. Sedangkan dari analisis FTIR, didapatkan spektrum gugus fungsi asam hidroksamat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning methods on chemistry learning. Multimedia-assisted guided inquiry is that students are encouraged to be actively involved in the teaching and learning process. In order to provide proper visualization, tools are needed to stimulate it with temporal multimedia (audio, video and animation). This study used a quasi-experimental design (Quasy-Experimental) with a pretest-posttest control group design. The instruments used in this study were the lesson plan (RPP) and multiple choice test question sheets. Before the instrument is used in the sample, the instrument is tested first with a validity test, a reliability test, a discriminating power test, and a difficulty level test. The sample taken in this study is class XI IPA-1 using guided inquiry model assisted by multimedia and XI IPA-2 using conventional methods. The average chemistry learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Sikur who were taught with guided inquiry learning with multimedia assistance was higher than students who were taught using conventional methods, this can be seen from the average pretest score of the control class of 65.7 and the experimental class by 64.8. Then for the posttest results shown, the control class average score is 76.9 and for the experimental class 83.8. There is an effect of guided inquiry learning method with multimedia assistance on chemistry learning outcomes of class XI IPA students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the problem solving learning model equipped with android media on the chemistry learning outcomes of class X science students at SMA Muhammadiyah Masbagik. This research is a quasi-experimental study (pretest-posttest Control Group Design which aims to determine the effect of the application of problem solving learning models equipped with android media on the learning outcomes of students in class X IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Masbagik. The learning model applied in the experimental class is a problem solving learning model equipped with android media, while the learning model applied in the control class is a conventional learning model.The pretest results obtained in the experimental class by applying the Problem Solving learning model assisted by android media obtained an average value of 30.5 while the pretest value in the control class obtained an average value – an average of 35. Meanwhile, the posttest score in the experimental class by applying creative problem solving models obtained an average value of 80.25, while in the control class by applying the direct learning model the average value was obtained. ta is 67.5. This shows that the problem solving learning model assisted by android media is better than the conventional learning model.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) dan  Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 SIKUR pada materi ikatan kimia. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperiment). Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi untuk mengetahui keaktifan siswa dan soal-soal tes yaitu prates dan pascates untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X IPA 1 dan X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sikur. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan Analisis Variansi dua jalan dengan sel sama. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode STAD dan TAI terhadap keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study was aim to compare between free inquiry learning model and free inquiry modified model on chemistry learning. Free inquiry Modified model is the combination of guided inquiry and free inquiry. This study is quasi experimental by using 2 x 2 factorial design. Each of learning model is prepared with learning device in the form of syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and written tests to measure the students’ learning outcomes and validated by experts earlier. The sample of study were grade X IPA- 2 and X IPA- 3. The sample grade X IPA- 2 is taken by using guided inquiry models. Meanwhile, grade X IPA-3 is taken by using free inquiry modified model, with the previous semester's scores as the students’ initial abilities. The initial ability score that higher than average as high initial ability and under average score as low initial ability.The student learning outcomes of grade X Senior High School 2 Selong who were taught by free inquiry learning have higher score than students who were taught by free inquiry modified model, it can be seen from the average score of each class, namely X IPA- 2, 78.75 while X IPA- 3, 76.25. Each of grade has increasing score before and after treatment. As the result, the average score for grade X IPA-2 before treatment is 66.75 become 78.75. Whereas, the average score for grade X IPA-3 before free inquiry modified treatment is 64.93 become 76.25.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the difficulties of senior high school students at class X in learning chemistry using Contextual Teaching And Learning—based Approach on Two Tier Multiple Choice Instruments. This research is a descriptive research. The subjects in this study were students of class X SMAN 1 Masbagik. The samples in this study were determined by purposive random sampling which are the classes that have not reached the KKM, X IPA 2 class consists of 30 students and X IPA 3 32 students. X IPA 2 class will be taught conventionally meanwhile X IPA 3 class will be taught using the CTL approach. The instrument used to measure the students' level of difficulty is a two-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. The two tier multiple choice diagnostic test is a test with 2 tiers where tier 1 contains the answer and tier 2 contains the reason. The highest error percentages of conventional class was 54.1%, 26.8% understand, and 9.6% was misconception. While the CTL had lower error with the perentage 25.55%, 57.% understand, and 7.86% was misconception. It means that CTL affect sudents’ learning achievent about the concept of oxidation-reduction reactions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan Model Pembelajaran Treffinger terhadap Keterampilan Pemecahan Masalah Siswa SMA . Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Penelitian ini menggunakan dua perlakuan, yaitu perlakuan pertama berupa penggunaan model pembelajaran Treffinger dan perlakuan lainnya menggunakan pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan oleh guru. Terdapat satu variabel terikat yang diamati, yaitu keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 3 Selong dan yang dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X. 2 dan X. 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran treffinger berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa di SMAN 3 Selong. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji T, yaitu dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) adalah sebesar 0,003 < 0,05. Hal tersebut berarti bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran treffinger berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.
