Abstract

The selection of further studies at colleges both in location and study programs is a second career decision that must be considered by teenagers and parents. The first career decision has been made when teenagers will enter the high school education level, namely the selection of majors in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Social Sciences or Language and Culture. This descriptive study aims to obtain an overview of the extent to which adolescent's need for career counseling services and the factors that influence adolescents in making further study decisions. The study was conducted by administering an online questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire attended by 662 adolescents aged 15-17 years found the need for career guidance and counseling services was at the top with a percentage of 46.07%. The questionnaire further revealed several main factors that were taken into consideration in choosing where to study further. Among them are quality (21.275%) followed by cost (14.65%) then location (6.95%). In addition, the survey results also revealed 94.3% chose to continue their studies in the city of residence and 5.97% chose to continue their studies outside the city / country where they lived

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimism profile of students studied by exploring the tendencies of optimism and pessimism that exist in each student. The approach used in this research is quantitative descriptive survey type. Determination of the sample is done by random sampling of 154 students guidance and counseling. The research instrument uses an optimism scale which is an adaptation of the Life Orientaion Test (LOT) instrument. The data analysis technique uses descriptive quantitative data analysis. The results showed 63.64% of students had a high level of optimism, 35.06% in the medium category, and 1.30% in the low category. This finding shows that the majority of students have a high level of optimism. In addition, from various levels of optimism, it is also known that 92.21% of students have a tendency to be optimistic compared to pessimists, 4.54% tend to be pessimistic rather than optimistic, and 3.25% have a balanced tendency between optimism and pessimism for each individual. More in-depth discussion and research must be conducted to find out whether a high level of optimism has a positive impact or a negative impact on students, given the high optimism also needs to be balanced with a healthy level of realism.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the problem that shows the low achievement motivation of students at school. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of using self-instruction techniques as a medium to increase student achievement motivation. The research design used a pre-experimental design, the research method used one group pretest and a posttest design. The research subjects were students of class XI SMA 03 Bengkulu City in 2019 with a total of 10 students, the subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument uses; (1) treatment materials, (2) achievement motivation scale, and (3) observation guidelines. Data analysis used nonparametric analysis with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test. The results of hypothesis testing show that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, this means that there is an increase in student achievement motivation after being given self-instruction techniques. The conclusion of the research shows that the self-instruction technique is effective and can be used as a medium to increase students' achievement motivation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui (1) perilaku dan interaksi sosial masyarakat melalui diseminasi media sosial; (2) perilaku dan interaksi sosial masyarakat terhadap penanaman nilai-nilai kebhinekaan; dan (3) imlpementasi penanaman nilai-nilai kebhinekaan masyarakat bengkulu. Jenis penelitian menggunakan pendekatan quantitative research dengan metode penelitian survey. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Provinsi Bengkulu tahun 2020. Populasi penelitian ini masyarakat Kota Bengkulu, Kab. Mukomuko, Kepahiang dan Seluma. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 400 responden, pengambilan sampel menggunakan multistage random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner via mobile dan deep interview. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi survey (alvara-analytic). Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan (1) masyarakat Bengkulu melek terhadap literasi digital dan aktif menggunakan media sosial; (2) nilai-nilai kebhinekaan yang ditanamkan masyarakat meliputi nilai toleransi dan kerukunan, keadilan dan kesetaraan, gotong royong dan tolong menolong, solidaritas dan kebersamaan, dan nilai demokrasi; (3) indeks nilai-nilai kebhinekaan masyarakat Bengkulu dalam kategori baik (82,1%), dimensi pemahaman kebhinekaan masyarakat sebesar 94,1% dan dimensi sikap kebhinekaan masyarakat sebesar 70,1%.

Abstract

This study aims to know the relationship of self-efficacy (X1) and psychological well-being (Y), optimism (X2) and psychological well-being (Y), social support (X3), and psychological well-being (Y) of learners school vocational high in the entire Malang City. The method used was non-experimental research with this type of research study causal relationship. Research findings show there was a positive and significant correlation between X1 and Y, X2 and Y, Y. X3 and X1, X2, X3 connected simultaneously to Y; The third contribution of variables X1, X2, X3 amounted to 26.84%, while 73.16% influenced by other variables; X2 most influential factor on the Y, the X3, and the third is the X1.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-efficacy (X1) dan psychological well-being (Y), optimism (X2) dan psychological well-being (Y), social support (X3) dan psychological well-being (Y) peserta didik SMK Negeri se-Kota Malang. Metode yang digunakan adalah non experimental research dengan jenis penelitian causal relationship study. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara X1 dan Y, X2 dan Y, X3 dan Y. X1, X2, X3 memiliki hubungan secara simultan terhadap Y; sumbangan ketiga variabel X1, X2, X3 sebesar 26,84%, sedangkan 73,16% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain; X2 faktor paling berpengaruh terhadap Y, kedua X3, dan urutan ketiga adalah X1.

Abstract

Saat ini telah banyak muncul kasus-kasus penyimpangan perilaku oleh anak, sehingga perlu adanya kesadaran baik dari pihak sekolah mengenai pentingnya penanaman karakter pada anak. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menjelaskan atau menggambarkan upaya pengembangan manajemen pengembangan sekolah dasar berbasis pendidikan karakter dan melihat jenis karakter yang ingin dicapai di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pengembangan sekolah dasar berbasis pendidikan karakter di laksanakan dalam tiga tahap yaitu: Perencanaan, menyusun silabus dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter. Pelaksanaan, pengembangan Sekolah Dasar berbasis pendidikan karakter berjalan sesuai dengan perencanaan yang telah disusun menggunakan model pembelajaran ceramah. Evaluasi menggunakan evaluasi proses dan hasil atau tes. Penanaman karakter pada penelitian ini ialah jujur, bertanggung jawab, mempunyai rasa toleransi, cinta damai, komunikatif, kreatif, peduli social, saling menghargai, demokratis, memiliki jiwa nasionalisme, dan religious.

Abstract

Maraknya perilaku verbal bullying yang terjadi di kalangan peserta didik sehingga dapat berpengaruh terhadap kecerdasan interpersonal siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh verbal bullying terhadap kecerdasan interpersonal siswa di SDN 81 Kota Bengkulu. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kuantitatif dengan varian pendekatan ex post facto. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik non probability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, kuesioner (angket), dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 81 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa terdapat pengaruh verbal bullying terhadap kecerdasan interpersonal siswa di SDN 81 Kota Bengkulu. Kesimpulan penelitian diperoleh hasil (1) perilaku verbal bullying yang dilakukan siswa antara lain menjuluki, mengejek, menghina, memaki, dan mengolok-ngolok; (2) siswa yang sering di bullying akan berpengaruh terhadap kecerdasan interpersonalnya karena bawasannya anak yang sering di bully akanmenjadi malas pergi ke sekolah dan psikisnya terganggu dan konsentrasinya saat belajar berkurang; (3) pengaruh verbal bullying memberikan dampak pada terhadap kecerdasan interpersonal siswa yaitu menjadi rendah.

Abstract

Most people will try to find alternative solutions that can be done to solve problems or events that can cause stress. When internal resources and other external resources are unable to solve the problem, the individual will be trapped in a crisis situation. This study aims to examine the cognitive, emotional and social impacts that can be experienced by individuals with experiences facing crisis situations in their lives. The research uses a qualitative approach with the type of phenomenological research. The sample in this study were students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Ahmad Dahlan University as many as 56 students taken by purposive sampling (students who had experienced crisis situations). Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed by collecting and describing all the phenomena that occurred as a result of the crisis experience experienced by the individual and grouped by type. The results of this study reaffirm that unresolved crisis conditions can have a long-term impact on cognitive, emotional and social aspects and have negative impacts. In the cognitive aspect, some of the stress reactions that arise are still often remembering events, negative self-image and difficulty concentrating. In the affective aspect, the stress reactions that arise include feelings of anxiety, fear, sadness, anger, anxiety, loss of hope and uncontrolled mood changes. On the social aspect, stress reactions that arise include withdrawing behavior from the social environment, difficulty interacting with other people and avoiding certain places or activities.

Abstract

One aspect of the success of students being able to achieve self-welfare is resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social skills and social support on student resilience. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 10 Bengkulu. The research design used the one-short model correlation method. Data collection uses a scale of social skills, social support, and resilience. The instrument validity test uses the product-moment coefficient, and the reliability test uses the Cronbach alpha coefficient. Data analysis used prerequisite tests and hypotheses. The results showed that (1) the linear regression equation resulted in a constant value of 29.11; (b) the regression coefficient of 6.28; (2) the value of the correlation coefficient is 0.72; (3) the value of the coefficient of determination is 51.84%. The results of the analysis show that there is an influence between social skills and social support on student resilience at school (Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected). Suggestions and recommendations, for further researchers, are expected to reveal the role of social skills and social support as factors forming student resilience
