Abstract

The impact that was felt by the COVID-19 pandemic was that many workers were laid off and the economy of the community experienced a very deep decline. Not only workers in the tourism sector but in various other sectors also feel the impact. The tourism gap period is indeed very influential for the development of tourism in Bali and in Indonesia. The pause period can be used as a reference for self-evaluation. Tourism thinking related to tourism activities has become more organized and neater. The innovations made by the Central Government and the Regional Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) are very worthy to be imitated for the rise of Bali tourism. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic for almost 3 years has greatly destroyed Bali's tourism, and has had an impact on Bali's economic downturn.

Abstract

This paper aims to study and formulate a tourism recovery strategy for Nusa Penida after Covid-19 as a sustainable spiritual tourism area, so as to increase tourist visits, extend length of stay and increase people's income without neglecting the preservation of nature and culture in the Nusa Penida Island area. Using a qualitative research approach, to obtain an appropriate strategy, a SWOT analysis is used, which begins with identifying the internal strategic factors and external strategic factors that influence the development of Nusa Penida Island. The results of the analysis show that there are four sets of alternative strategies that can be formulated, namely (1) increasing promotion, (2) structuring and maintaining environmental sustainability, and involving the community in tourism development, (3) developing more varied tourist attractions and developing tourism facilities and public facilities, (4) establish a management body and improve human resources.

Abstract

The fluctuating number of tourist visits tends to decrease from 2020 to 2022. Studying the marketing strategy carried out by the world cultural heritage (WBD) manager of Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring, Gianyar, is fascinating. This study aims to examine the marketing strategy model commonly used to determine the most significant factors influencing tourist visits to these tourist objects, which are leading tourist destinations. This study was designed with a descriptive and analytic approach, namely reviewing and analyzing the marketing strategy model used, then integrated with the results of the policy analysis of the Gianyar Regency Government in developing a marketing strategy for the WBD Pura Tirta Empul Tampaksiring tourist attraction to provide services to tourists. The study and research of the developed model for promotion found that e-commerce is the most potent factor, followed by word of mouth, publications, and advertising. For destination attributes, the most powerful factor influencing tourists to visit is the product of memories, location, available accommodation, ticket prices, and tourist attractions. At the same time, a fun, clean, safe, calm, new places, and a comfortable environment dominated by Place Branding. The most significant factor driving the decision to visit tourists is post-visit evaluation; this cannot be separated from the satisfaction felt after a previous visit. There are still differences in understanding in implementing the rules between the management, namely the Gianyar Regional Government as the first party and Pekraman Village as the second party, which can affect the quality of service and the level of tourist visits.
